  3. i m 99% sure they will throw a bad cone and some "not enough/not needed" buff to the actual ET about losing health or not.
  4. Balance is a good mindset. But there will always be a stronger AT. and I would be there to exploit it to the last drop : Power is life, Moar power is sex.

    At the moment (before page 6), Rad armor is the most versatile armor of the game : you can do an immortal tanker or a Dps tanker with the same armor. For the attack set, they all have their pros and cons.
  6. I was right at the moment looking at Brute builds on mid's with my itf run in mind and my mindset was : "how the f..k can i survive Romulus Nictus if i failed my single pull"

  10. Took me 17 days... Seventeen F..king days. 4 respecs, like 30+ try runs and 11 classic ITF to test builds and incarnates, and 40+ Heather's Run in DA by Ouro / Tinpex and tons of Transcendant Empyreans. I met every single possible bugs from internet down, negative resistance bug to stucked in map and bad choices. But i had to do it for the pride of the Rad / SS / Soul tankers 😄 I used : Musculature Core T4 (Cardiac T4 was fine but seems i cannot kill Romu ans his Nictus Pompom girls with) Rebirth Radial T4 (first tried Barrier T4, not a good idea, at all...) Longbow Core T3 (first tried Banished Radial T4 but those idiots kept going inside the nictus area damage VS Romulus last fight) Reactive Radial T4 Void Radial T4 Assaut Radial T4 (only for Romulus last fight, Mélée Core T4 for the rest of the TF) All the TF is speedrunned and shortcuted as much as i can : Mission 1 : Rushin' oracles only, avoiding cosmic lobsters (Assaut used here) Mission 2 : Only cristals, by playing with the cave, using jaunt to avoid the whole map + ambushes (Hand clap/foot stomp are life saver here, i used to hit Darkest night on cristals but that was not enough to tank the last cristals, 12 sec stun ftw) (Melee used here) Mission 3 : Void / Ground Z / Dark Obliteration / Foot stomp (and Hand clap to CC) to burst down healers, letting invunerable Powers of Mino and cyclops fade away while begining the next general (hand clap and foot stomp are lifesaver here too), Pulling both AV on the CPU and aoe everything (Usual PC down with romu 90%, Requiem 60% when CPU down, Requiem 30% when Romulus down not possible) (Mélée for the generals, Assaut / lore for the CPU and AV) Mission 4 : Rushing to Romulus and single pull him, thank to Jaunt (had to respec for this after like 15 runs...) Finishing the 300 mobs with the courtyard and the 2 towers. (assaut T4 here). Imperious Task Force +4x8, Enemy Buffed, No temp Powers, no death, no inspirations : 1 hour 29 minutes and 55 seconds. That was a very fun and challenging journey but it's 6:40am here in france, i m tired and i dont want to see this dam TF for the next DECADE :x

To be fair, full (or 5 ios) purple sets are far from being the best way to have optimal DPS. 3 Purple or ATO maxing accuracy / damage / Musculature Core T4 + 3 damage procs tend to be the "best" way to go, changing depending of AT / builds (using Hasten / Adrenal Booster / Ageless and others + recharge proc or powers for recharge and tactics / focused acc and, or other To hit sets / ios for to hit buff) So yeah while using only 3 (or 2) purples, fully boosted them is almost a mandatory.

  14. 1. If i remember well the dark ages of the Hammer nerf, it was because of PVP that NRJ transfert was nerf before the PvP revamp. Now when i see those numbers on my PVP stalkers i dont see where NRJ transfert with normal critical % is an issue now. 2. 3. i really dont care about aoe on NRJ mélée, being weak in the area department is kinda signature of the set. 4. adding some Knock would be mandatory to allow energy mélée to enter the Top 10 attack sets.
  15. The Dominator Energy Focus could be a good solution for Energy mélée to shine again : instead of buffing ranged or mélée damage, it could buff Energy transfert or Whirling hands.
  16. It would be nice too that the in Game Tooltip had a good calculation of damage on Energy Transfert : Here on the Tanker version, The average damage ADD the self damage to the total damage of the power.
  17. Just give us back the old Energy mélée. Having the baddest area DPS of the game is already the highest price we can pay in such a aoe centric game. In a world of Rend Armor, Clobber, Crushing uppercut and other monster combo, the old Energy Transfer will not be so impactfull. Being a former NRJ / Elec brute on live since it was possible to play it, i m ok to have long animations or no aoe if and only if when i hit transfer this happened : Not to mention, that just giving us back the old EM in all his former glory will never "beat" the modern masters of DPS, both single and aoe.
  18. Really good job for a first attempt without being already level 50 with the toon ! Enojoying myself a SR / staff tanker, all i can say you, to be honnest, is that you will almost never find the good build (AKA the one you love to play, above the Méta one). There are just a few things i would change, if i were you : As you stated, Staff is not the best damage dealer of the game 😉 so, IMHO, Taunt will help you a lot on this type of low damage / debuff builds. By not taking Serpent's reach, you lack ranged multi-target solutions to take / keep agro. Arcane Bolt seems to lack +Taunt secondary effect. Guarded Spin is awesome but SR really dont need more def : the higheest Defence cap is 59 (for Trials) so any points above is direct loss of slots. Rune of Protection is a cool way to raise Resistance but in your build you lack Global recharge : having no Hasten you will be able to enjoy your rune 90 seconds every 320 seconds so more than 5 minutes. SR having a 20% recharge buff, this armor is a top contender to reach very high amount of Global Recharge to reach a "perma hasten" (AKA having less than 120 seconds recharge on your hasten, making it permanent). Staff is great on SR cause it gives Resistance to a Defence set... on paper 😉 The real "weakness" of SR is not the resistance (having the resistance mechanics make SR super tough on tanker cause even at 40% health, you should still have more than 1000 HP lol). With my SR Staff tanker, i almost always use Form of the Soul : cause IMHO the real "hole" of SR is the lack of regen / recovery power. Last but not least, i advise you to always choose the incarnate Alpha and Destiny BEFORE building your toon : for SR, people often use a mix of Cardiac / Musculature Alpha and Ageless / Rebirth Destiny based on what your build will need (or not) Here is the build i enjoy when i use my SR staff tanker : SR staff V4.mxd Have Fun !
