Both Tankers and Brutes share the same damage cap : 90%. But tankers reach Def and Res cap with a lot more ease than brutes on many armors set, leaving lot of place for others options. Tankers also have the highest hit points cap of the game : a full slotted invul tanker can reach a permanent 3700+ hp with no major issues.

Weekly Discussion 65: Build Your Own Powerset
Tsuko replied to GM Miss's topic in General Discussion

Oups i didt it again, FS means "Force Surhumaine", Super Strenght in french Sorry :x
-
hum, No inspiration, master and enemy buffed ITF... Ty, you jusrt give me a reason to work on my Rad FS build đ
-
Did I find her? Is this Mace/Bio the character I've been seeking?
Tsuko replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Scrapper

i prefer my Rad FS đ No Meltdown, Lower buff of barrier T4 and the more dps than a lot of scrappers : Well, Mid's is not accurate with rad armor đ
-
when i began farming, i tried several fire brutes : Rad, spines, Superstrenght, TW and Kat'... And this happened : It took me 98 veteran levels to decide me to stop and create a new farmer, Katana is a drug :x
-
NO NO NO NO i had to much katana(ninjato) / whatever before ! ... ... Where is my mid's ?
-
You love quote wars đ

Tankers are monsters among men and i really enjoy all of my 14 tankers i have from my 133 lvl 50 toons. Tankers are very (maybe too) strong now. But if there is a thing they CANNOT do, it's challenging TW scrapper in Damage, even cap đ
-
YMMV as americans said đ I tanked both reichman and baracuda with no issues at all (and tinpex, RSF, MLTF and so on) with with my TW bio scrapper and his all mighty Confront in offensive (+DNA +evolving armor)... and +100% def due to the buff of the team + kin heal đ and i did it with this very build : It's a build with full sloted confront and Titan sweep to help thrash cleaning, explaining the average "bad" time for a TW Bio scrapper đ

I completly respect your point of view đ But IMHO, in all mmorpg in late endgame content, and cox is no exception, at the moment a main tank (not tanker, but tank, the one taking alpha strike and agro all day) can stay alive with Help of his team, he HAS TO push his own dps. Because when dps (and even support) have reach their max dps, Tanks must deal their part too. Tanking a big bad raid boss all day afk is awesome, but killing it as fast as possible by pushing the OVERALL dps of the FULL raid or team is better đ

awesome times đ But i have to admit i m not surprised, having a Rad / Fire brute able to make ton of inf đ The issue being clearly the recovery, you have here the exact same issues than farmer builds. So ageless core is almost a mandatory ^^ Just fyi, if you're not familiar with Rad MÊlÊe, Devastating blow is the only way "spam" your heal cause it's the only power with 100% chance of contamination. On top of that, using the contamination mini game for healing removes the possibility to use it for the mini burst, so slighty reducing your DPS. It common to remove Siphon on "full dps" rad build (for scrappers) And, tbh, i dont understand why you remove Devastating blow, being the top DPA power of the Rad, just behind Gloom đ EDIT : maybe try to use superior avalanche in your blazing aura : it's the best endurance reduction set for PBAOE powers.

I m a former Brute, my kind Sir Tanker đ So IMHO, Bio = rad = fire > dark > elec đ
-
I was a super fan of elec armor. But compared to Rad armor, the elec armor toxic hole cost too much and is almost mandatory to fill đ

With a brute as fixed mate in mind and his devastating 775% damage cap, all he will need at some point is more recharge / more damage and some heal support in case of multiple unlucky hits (auto hit here and there in the game) but mainly : Invulnerability has a hole in recovery / stam management and provide almost everything but damage. If by "En" you mean the old school Energy mÊlÊe, he will have a devastating single target burst and weak multitarget : thing fix by soul or Mu patron powers. So this Kin sonic defender will help him to wreck absolutly everything by caping him in damage, his recharge, filling him with stamina and reducing target's resistance and damage to almost nothing đ Poison is a strong choice, but no heal can be tricky, for the brute but even for you đ if i was you 2, i would go with a NRj / shield brute to buff you too in def and adding Shield charge to complete the area possibiliies of the brute. Once geared, you two could "solo" the whole content (but trials :p) in master and harder notoriety with quite ease and fun đ Don't get me wrong, rad is a great set, but i know for supporting friends with this very build, the sonic part of the build is more than enough to debuff high endgame builds : who care of 200ish regen per second of an AV when your teammate hit a 50% (with purple patch) res debuff target at damage cap and cant die cause you can spam heal him ? đ and if you really want some -regen, take the longbow core Lore incarnate pet, he spams 2 attacks at -500% regen đ

For good actions, amazing sound and great performers : and a special thumb up for the best smiling percutionist, Noriko Terada at 06:10 in the vid, or here :

IMHO, one of the best endgame defender : Kin / sonic. Kin is the brute's best friend with thier off the charts damage cap. Easy heal on mÊlÊe, outstanding buff dmg, best dmg debuff and 100% -resist with sonic. Who cares of regen when people hit like berzerker heavy marine canon on "naked" targets đ Build 45% def range / 45% def aoe with lower Barrier Core T4 buff with resist armor, able to buff and follow any mÊlÊe in any content : Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.7.2.10 https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! Beam / TA / fire for long range DPS / CC đ
-
yeah but i use my all mighty Fire claw mid range bomber for exemplaring : đ
-
you certainly right đ but what i m sure it's that my fire / nrj tanker nerver did 2540 dmg live. for a tanker, hitting above 1K is already silly on the most resistant AT of the game ^^

well, Total Focus... đ the love / hate relationship i have with this one is real. I think we must jump back in the golden age of CoX to understand the purpose of Total focus : back in the days, i was a proud Rogue isles native so Brute was the undisputed main tank. Having to face the same (even bigger when RSF was the threat above all) challenges than blue grannies with capes (heroes :p), with scrapper HP pool, brutes had to learn soon to mitigate damage with soft control : Total Focus is a bad DPS power, but it s a real stun : the "optimal" team was a 1 dominator, 6 coruptors and 1 brute, so when your HP bar didn't stop going from 100% to 20% (cause both your kin and thermal corupters friends spam their heals and perma domination Dom was a still a dream), you were happy to stop this dam AV to break your bones for some tiny seconds by stunning him with repeated ET/TF in his face đ
