  1. argh :x I wish i never see this again...
  2. 1. If i remember well the dark ages of the Hammer nerf, it was because of PVP that NRJ transfert was nerf before the PvP revamp. Now when i see those numbers on my PVP stalkers i dont see where NRJ transfert with normal critical % is an issue now. 2. 3. i really dont care about aoe on NRJ mélée, being weak in the area department is kinda signature of the set. 4. adding some Knock would be mandatory to allow energy mélée to enter the Top 10 attack sets.
  3. The Dominator Energy Focus could be a good solution for Energy mélée to shine again : instead of buffing ranged or mélée damage, it could buff Energy transfert or Whirling hands.
  4. It would be nice too that the in Game Tooltip had a good calculation of damage on Energy Transfert : Here on the Tanker version, The average damage ADD the self damage to the total damage of the power.
  5. Just give us back the old Energy mélée. Having the baddest area DPS of the game is already the highest price we can pay in such a aoe centric game. In a world of Rend Armor, Clobber, Crushing uppercut and other monster combo, the old Energy Transfer will not be so impactfull. Being a former NRJ / Elec brute on live since it was possible to play it, i m ok to have long animations or no aoe if and only if when i hit transfer this happened : Not to mention, that just giving us back the old EM in all his former glory will never "beat" the modern masters of DPS, both single and aoe.

    SR/Staff build

Really good job for a first attempt without being already level 50 with the toon ! Enojoying myself a SR / staff tanker, all i can say you, to be honnest, is that you will almost never find the good build (AKA the one you love to play, above the Méta one). There are just a few things i would change, if i were you : As you stated, Staff is not the best damage dealer of the game 😉 so, IMHO, Taunt will help you a lot on this type of low damage / debuff builds. By not taking Serpent's reach, you lack ranged multi-target solutions to take / keep agro. Arcane Bolt seems to lack +Taunt secondary effect. Guarded Spin is awesome but SR really dont need more def : the higheest Defence cap is 59 (for Trials) so any points above is direct loss of slots. Rune of Protection is a cool way to raise Resistance but in your build you lack Global recharge : having no Hasten you will be able to enjoy your rune 90 seconds every 320 seconds so more than 5 minutes. SR having a 20% recharge buff, this armor is a top contender to reach very high amount of Global Recharge to reach a "perma hasten" (AKA having less than 120 seconds recharge on your hasten, making it permanent). Staff is great on SR cause it gives Resistance to a Defence set... on paper 😉 The real "weakness" of SR is not the resistance (having the resistance mechanics make SR super tough on tanker cause even at 40% health, you should still have more than 1000 HP lol). With my SR Staff tanker, i almost always use Form of the Soul : cause IMHO the real "hole" of SR is the lack of regen / recovery power. Last but not least, i advise you to always choose the incarnate Alpha and Destiny BEFORE building your toon : for SR, people often use a mix of Cardiac / Musculature Alpha and Ageless / Rebirth Destiny based on what your build will need (or not) Here is the build i enjoy when i use my SR staff tanker : SR staff V4.mxd Have Fun !
  7. - Play Rad Armor. 😄
  8. the whole WW interface
  9. It's what i did on my tanky build :Tanker Rad SS tank V2.mxd that could make @Infinitum proud : No rage, taunt sloted, tons of CC / debuff and all usefull res to 90%, cardiac alpha and so on. I tried before to completly erase the recovery issue from the equation with this balanced build : Tanker_-_Radiation_Armor_-_Super_Strength_V7.5.mxd This build had so much recovery that i dont even feel any of the 3 crashes (hasten / rage and melfdown), that was perfect to learn how to play a rad SS tanker. (Here is the recovery of this build WITHOUT ageless :D) But now, i have to admit that i prefer my offensive build : Tanker Rad FS dps V5.mxd It's kinda the illégitimate child of @Bopper stone / ss, your work on the proc monster and @Gobbledegook rad ss tanker with my own taste 😛 I just swap the incarnates and builds to have best of all "world" between proc vs tank builds and so on. That's what i really love about Rad SS Soul tanker : Incarnates are not a mandatory, they are all strong tools and options to enjoy depending of the content we play 😄 NB : thank to all of you for not being ok and arguing : i won a new main toon 😄 NB bis : now i see what you meaned by Rage is OP

    Rad or Invuln

I would go for something like that to begin with. Taking best of both world from tanky vs procs build, sort of balanced one before chosing which aspect you prefer (or do as me, just making 2 builds lol) It's a quick try but that could be a good base. ( @Gobbledegook will recognize the procs :p) Ageless should make your hasten perma and will provide you more than needed stam. Given that the Devastating / Siphon combo will allow you a 100% sure 537,9 heal every 4,8 seconds, i feel this build can tank extremly hard without Rebirth) About Area damage, better have few attacks with huge recharge (used with Build up / gaussian) than a lot of trash powers, caressing enemies to death. Meltdown and Mélée Core T4 can push your Psi resist when needed. Here is the build with 1 stack of ATO, smallest Ageless Core recovery buff, no meltdown or Mélée T4 : Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.7.2.10 https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 12. Invul SS, the classic one. Being almost forced into Ageless to enjoy Rage is a no way for me 😕 i tried so many times to enjoy mine but.... ^^

    Rad or Invuln

I run a Rad SS soul tanker with 3 builds : - one ultra dps with full procs (still able to tank almost anyting in the game +4x8) perfect for speedruns and solo - another ultra tanky with no rage and tons of soft control, perma hasten and full 90% res (but cold but who cares of cold) - a pvp one (still work in progress) and alterning Barrier core / Rebirth radial / Mélée core / Assaut double hit and (ageless / incandescence as a work in progress too) based on what the content i play in need the most. If Infamy is really not an issue, this is the way 😛
  14. Split the Blistering cold set in 3x2 IO (in brawl, kick and so on) + the unique 20% = 65%, 3 slots Synpase's chock for stam = 10% and Log out in both Ouro and Cimerora to catch the Time lord's Boon special day job : Making a 95% resist recharge debuff from scratch on top of 10% attack speed and the 3% resist all of the cimeroran dayjob 🙂

    Berzerkers

Hami tanking is the only place i could see taunt being a mandatory. Or extreme low dps / debuff build with no form of range powers (or being a mule for a 2set Perfect Zinger for 2,25 tox / psi resist)

    Berzerkers

that's the entire reason why i never PU team (but to help a friend coming in an itf to leech exp, as all 35/49 here when 3/4 lvl 50 full incarnate are pushing) Take your 4/5 levels and die (a lot) or go back to solo white mission in -1x0. That's weird, but we never need to wait a lot to make a full team even in reunion at USA times... seems people should be masochists. My toon is a tanker not a baby sitter. 1) If you pull, you tank. 2) If you do sh.t, you die. 3) If you re not happy, you leave. With all my consideration, Tsuko, Former Brute 😄
  17. yeah that's why i dont do any "guides" : i know my english is soooo rusty 😕 Maybe in the french dead part of the forum one day... But i feel it as a freaking ghetto to be honnest lol
  18. What destiny are you using on the rad ss builds pls ?
  19. I ll just allow me to tell you a short story about Purple set. One day, i took an empty build of my beloved PvP blaster and i slotted a full Ragnarok set on the Level 32 power : Overcharge After, i go to visit Synapse, my Infos looked that way : And i launched the level 20 TF, so with a SK down to lvl 24 and my infos was... As you can see, a purple set on a power ALWAYS give his bonus even if the power carrying the set is not in the "SK level range", so the best way to atomise low level content is not attuned set but purple +5 + ATO + Winter event set. On top of giving 10% more stats, 5 ios are there to allow you to reach certain cap with less io to max out OTHER powers. So, of course, there are absolutly no need of such improvement in a game like COX designed to be fully played with Single Origins. Of course, in a full team where +4 bosses die instant, you will never feel the diference between a +5 build and a normal build. But, +5 io are better than any other setup for a build, if the build is designed to take advantage of +5 ios. "You got more for your bucks" with +5 ios as one of my beloved IG friend said back in the days about that 😄 BUT EDIT : Kudos to @Bill Z Bubba and IG deeper testings, the following statements are, sadly, not TRUE 😕 There is one moment Attuned IOs become optimals for lvl 50 toons AT LEVEL 50 (in incarnate content or not) : For sub 50 max lvl io as Decimation or Steadfast Protection ONLY ON IO with % for stats bonus inside. Here a "classic" Steadfast protection Resistance / defence : And there, the same attuned AT LVL 50 : Here "classic" Decimation : and there, the very same, Attuned on a lvl 50 toon :
  20. This happened to me tanking a 4 men Mltf, Ghost Widow destroyed my rad / SS :x
  21. attack vitals DB toons are awesome 🙂

omfg i did it again and again :x Ty :x

    Crosspunch question

This is the Xpunch of my beloved Rad SS tanker and her "balanced offensive recovery" Build with 2 stacks of rage / musculature T4 / Kick / Punch : So compared to a TW tanker (so no rage) it's not worth it. On top of becoming a good hitter with FS SUPER STRENGHT :x, it mule a Force feedback (chance of recharge) and gives +10% recharge for 10 seconds. So, as always, YMMV 😄 NB : thank you @Bopper and @Sir Myshkin for the inspiration for this tanker and her build ! i have tons of fun 🙂

    New Tank

Tanker's Tough is 15% base and 23,77% at 58,48 % bonus caped Brute's Tough is 11,25% base and 17.83% with the same IO.
