  1. The only 2 add I would make: *you can easily earn between 10K and 50K selling a single LARGE inspy. And if you do Outbreak Tutorial, there's 2 right off the bat, and if you take Inner Inspiration from the P2W vendor, you can more more inspy's that will always be medium (not worth selling, but totally worth using) and large ones...You can easily generate 300K inf by level 20 *The P2W vendor gives 5 free special enhancements - they do damage+recharge rate, and each has a special proc that's good until lvl 22. You can grab all 5 at once, and slot them in your damage powers as you level up. So if you start crafting at lvl 15, there are 5 free enhancements you already have, and thus 5 less to pay for. Caveats: You can't sell these enhancements, and while you can collect as many as you want, you can only use 1 each of the 5. But I usually get 2 of each, because I'll end up accidentally slotting over one, and I can just replace it right then. Finally, the Proc goes away at lvl 22, and the benefits start dropping around then as well, so you'll want to replace these at lvl 22.
  2. One of the cardinal rules of the game that I have always like is that all AT's, and all Powersets have to be able to solo. Now you might need to scale up or down your difficultly slider based on the particular AT and powersets you've chosen, but I have yet to find one that I can't slide at least to +1 lvl. I've done all the AT's this way (except MM) and have had challenges sometimes soloing, but nothing that alot of Inspy's couldn't solve. I did, actually! ... they got ignored. They did get a fair amount of feedback on Reddit though. Also, I did make a "table of contents" for my concepts in general, and may just make a master post here, soon. Where at? I'll totally go back and +1 one them and help get the ball rolling...
  3. +1 Inf...
  4. Your forum name makes no sense after reading this post... ;D
  5. T B H I am surprised to find people who think vendoring the recipes is a good idea. I'm pretty lazy about making money but the return on investment for making all your yellows and oranges and converting them until something sells for a reasonable price (I aim for about 1.5 mil minimum) is usually pretty good. I think once you understand the power of crafting (because it is definitely harder than just buying TO, DO, SO's, but it makes a much better product), and then understand the power of converting enhancements to make a profit on the market, you will never go back to selling salvage or recipes at a Store. Unfortunately, you have to understand all this, and find joy in crafting and marketeering to get there. Until then, the rest of the server pop should be able to sell them at stores. Full transparency: I definite prefer crafting over TO/DO/SO's, and when I am crafting and converting set IO's for myself, I always do more to sell for a profit.
  6. There is already a very nice and long thread on this. The Dev's have even posted there as well. I'd recommend keeping the conversation in one place if we can https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,3304.0.html
  7. Share please? I want this...
  8. I am confused by this. There is almost nowhere that I can get to in the game this is just one click. TP to My Base requires 2 clicks, TP to Wentworths requires 2 clicks. Orouborus TP requires 2 clicks. There is absolutely no TP to Steel Canyon button, or TP to Independence Port button. Those work by going thru Ouroboros or your SG Base. So I am confused by why you feel that the Dev's need to make a whole new feature to avoid having to click more than once, because this is really new ground.
  9. This. Had I seen this post in time, this would have been almost my exact response. We've already hit peak population and are already declining, but if they could keep the server running with 3,000 ppl for 6 years...I'm not worried. It's unlikely that they would shrink smaller than what they had when the server was secret, so I think we are OK. Besides they always get complaints when donations happen from people who missed the short window and still want to give, so it's not like they are anywhere close to begging for funds. NCSoft is truly the biggest threat, and I really wouldn't try to predict what they are going to do, since we aren't privy to their internal conversations. But it's very clear they know about this, and have already sent one C&D regarding sharing the binaries. Given that they clearly know about this, and haven't done anything yet, and given the population is now declining, I would ere on the side of thinking it's going to be OK. Finally, I also agree with everyone who said - play it while you got it, because we really just don't know
  10. People find humor in many things. I do not find humor in the denigration of people trying to add things to the game, to get the game running again, even if thier efforts are not finished or perfect. There is simply no humor in that for me. This need to pick apart the work of others, IMO, is _not_ coming from a place of humor most of the time, either, it's bitter gamers mad that CoX does not work the way they think it shuold work. Am I touchy about it today? Look at my post history - Yes I Am. We may not agree on that outlook, and I am OK with that. :) I hear you, but no one is denigrating their work. We were just finding humor in a label, and pointing out the truth in the utility of the zone. No one called out the dev's, and no one posted any criticism - just hilarity. I have definitely seen the kind of posts you are railing against, and I have been right there with you. You do seem extra touchy today. That's OK, I have days like that as well. I'd just suggest not reading more into a post than what it says, as there is no tone on the internet so you can't tell the difference between biting sarcasm, uninformed opinions, light hearted banter or total sincerity. I also go with assuming total sincerity and if I'm thinking otherwise, I call out that specifically in my response... Besides, you know me...I am never insulting about the Dev's...I really sincerely appreciate all the work they have done. That being said, they are not perfect, and in opening the forums, have invited constructive criticism. No harm, no foul...you know I love ya!
  11. This my mouse, especially for CoX
  12. OK, if it's just 'silly' why do you want them quarantined to their own chat channel? I think no one is suggesting PEOPLE be quarantined in their own channel, but there is a wide swath of players who feel that LFG is swamped with DFB Personally, I was one of those people until I started tracking it. Now on Everlasting, only 45% of LFG chats involve DFB/DiB, 10% are Mistells, and the rest are all other categories (LFT, Running Missions, TF/Trials/Incarnate, Radio/Mayhem Missions, etc). So the overwhelming plurality of chats are DFB, but not the majority. Regardless, that wide swath of players want to separate those chats (not people) into a different tab, to provide more visibility for the content they are interested in. That's not wrong...It easy ridiculously easy to find and fill a DFB team...It is significantly more difficult to recruit for any other content.. My thoughts on the solution would be to create a new systemic Server Channel for DFB. It would appear as a tab on everyone's characters and it would cause people who want DFB to gravitate towards. Additionally, people in the LFG would politely I hope push DFB requests in LFG to the DFB channel. DFB players are going to go wherever they can get traction and successfully fill a team. Having their own channel means they can fill teams faster...No harm to anyone, no difficulty for anyone, everyone wins... I think the OP's approach is doomed. It is going to be much easier to find a team on systemic Server channel, than having to find and join a Global Channel, having to modify how they post (add your Character Name) and still find they have a limited audience to recruit from. Short of my suggestion (which requires Dev work), I think the only way to make this happen is doing the opposite of the OP's suggestion and creating a new channel for everything else...Everlasting has a TF channel that currently has 579 people logged into it...In the current landscape, I think it's easier for people who are annoyed by chat channels to create their own mechanisms for themselves, rather than hoping a bunch of people will jump on an idea to make it harder for themselves to team, when the current landscape is so easy for them...
  13. I find it equally 'hilarious' people bash and nit-pick over these things added by fellow-player-volunteers. The level pedantic brain chemistry involved is just 'hilarious', isn't it? Jumba, it’s just light hearted banter. I just posted that I do appreciate the effort made by SCoRE to not have it completely empty and I am sure Ed agrees. But the fact is it IS FUNNY that's labeled lvl 40-50, when there is absolutely NOTHING that can hurt you. A lvl 1 couldn't even stub his toe there. Please don't turn the light hearted into a guilt trip and be insulting. I'm sure even the dev's have a sense of humor
  14. I just find it hilarious that it's listed on the train as a 40-50 zone, and it's completely empty. That is wierd. It should read “Don't Bother”. Now I understand that SCoRE brought it from Beta code when Live shutdown, and because it was completely empty, they made the Market Crash TF, just so their would be some point to it. So I do appreciate the effort.
  15. Is this thread talking about the same thing? https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,3153.0.html If so, add your voice to it so it provides a strong united front the the Dev's
  16. I love this suggestion, sounds really fun. I also like Zepp's ideas as well (but don't tell him that) +1
  17. I don't play on Excelsior, but i was convinced this was an issue there. But then i did some counting and the data doesn't that t is actually as bad as it feels. However, should you still puruse this you will want to create a SERVER channel, not a GLOBAL channel. 1,) A global channel would be cross shard, so every post would have to include not only your haracter name, but the server as well. That’s a lot of extra DFB players that won't motivate them to switch 2.).A server channel solves all of these problems, it's shard specific and only displays ,the character name
  18. I tracked the other day around 200 LFG posts, and while the plurality of posts were for DFB/DiB, it wasn't the majority, as it was 44% of the traffic. There were 2 farm request, and about 10% of the traffic was mistells in the channel. So honestly, there are just as many DFB/DiB posts as there are for TF, Trials, Incarnate runs, raids, radio/newspaper and regular missions. The server was Everlasting, so I am sure YMMV, but i would encourage to actually track it. From what I am seeing, DFB posts aren't a problem that needs fixing. I was surprised by the data because it felt like 80% of the posts were DFB
  19. If I was a bad guy, i’d work for the worst villain in the whole game...the office building architect. Man that guy has caused more pain for hereos than anyone else, including all the Nemesis plots. How he was able to coerce the city council to continue to build these insanites after the first one went up is the work of a true Mastermind
  20. The only content in the Wharf is the Market Crash TF. Do it, get your purple and be done with it.
  21. Love it, +1. It¡s very well written, surprised you haven't had more traction EDIT: Please post your other suggestions on the forums...maybe hey can get some traction from the community. I'm a +1 for each of them (Tendril, Goliath (really like this ome the most), and Rapier (I would totally make a Zorro homage to that))
  22. If it makes you feel better, I've been here for about a week and I have yet to converse with another human being. :D Wait...PK is not a human being...does that mean *gasp* that he is a Kheldian whose been fused with a FF Defender? This explains so much.
  23. I would have said last week that they just aren't dealing with forum issues until the new software goes in...but then I see that they created this week a bunch of new boards and child boards, so clearly they are still updating. Maybe try requesting it in the suggestions and feedback section and be very clear in the subject line.
  24. *Passes PK a breath mint...just in case that's the reason.* But seriously for all of these mediums there can be answers given 1.) Forums - I have sent many a PM and response time is usually more than 24 hours, and I consistently here the same thing, "I didn't notice the number next to my messages...I never think to check there" I don't have this problem...I love it when I get a response on the forums and usually write back within 24 hours 2.) Discord - I accidentally starting a private conversation with someone on the discord, but I never noticed it because it looked like just a different server to me. I opened it about 3 weeks later...Also, while I scan the forums daily, I only check in on discord every so often 3.) If I don't recognize your email, it may NEVER get opened...Subject lines are key here... 4.) FB Messenger, as already mentioned is the WORST way to communicate with ANYONE who is not on your friends list. You will never see a notification and must accidentally stumble into the message.
