+2 mag Disorient IO Proc for Stun powers.
SeraphimKensai replied to BlackSpectre's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Just a heads up, an Energy Manipulation blaster can modify Stun by using boost range to convert it from a melee stun to a ranged stun. Additionally they can use power boost to convert it from single target to AoE. And you can use both boost range and power boost to make it a ranged AoE. Using power boost gives it a significantly longer recharge though, but even the base 12 seconds would get a decent proc rate as proposed. When converted to an AoE the recharge becomes 90 seconds so it's going to have a 90% proc rate for AoE stuns. -
It's time to talk about time at least on defenders
SeraphimKensai replied to KaizenSoze's topic in Defender
I like time. However I regret it's heal not being named Rewind and Slowed Response not being called Fast Forward. Then again Fast Forward I would make into a locational based pseudopet that lasts for 30 seconds so the debuffs would stack at intervals of time spent in the the patch. -
Gang War is a summoned posse of your pets. World of Confusion can proc confused on enemies. All confuses have the same behavior in that regard. You just have to hit them as well. It was set.up like that so you couldn't stand around with superior invis up and auto confuse mobs to kill each other and give you benefit while you go to sleep. The OG devs rightfully didn't want you to automate the leveling process.

+2 mag Disorient IO Proc for Stun powers.
SeraphimKensai replied to BlackSpectre's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
What kind of PPM for this proc are you suggesting @BlackSpectre? I'm thinking it could have some interesting interaction with the power Stun from Energy Manipulation. -
Symphony/Electric Controller ... how should I build it?
SeraphimKensai replied to JessWLH's topic in Controller
Being super new.... I'd suggest hi just rolling organically with it and learning as you go working on mission arcs. Otherwise... I'd suggest loading up the public test server and trying your powerset combo at various levels and look at power synergy between your sets to see what you like and then build it that way on the production servers. Also if you like numbers you can look up city of data, and download mids reborn. -
Trickshooter's Telepathy Powerset Suggestion!
SeraphimKensai replied to Trickshooter's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
At first glance the numbers seem pretty high especially the debuffs and endurance discount. Also would have some serious effects in PvP as well. -
Making the "Weave" power more accessible
SeraphimKensai replied to Shiro-Nethermore's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm personally in the boat that removing the punch/kick power cost would cause a slight degree of power creep. I'm also in the boat that I enjoy build diversity. I'm also a min maxer so most my characters end up with kick/tough/weave and occasionally cross punch. I personally don't really use kick aside of low level stuff. That said there's one power in particular in a pool that I really like but usually can't justify fitting it in and that's provoke. I know nobody asked me but... If I could have carte blanche here I'd probably combine punch/kick as one power and let people pick the animation like you can with foot stomp while keeping the chance for a stun/knock back so you can keep existing slotting. I'd then move provoke to the fighting pool as most fights typically involve people taunting each other anyways as the second power. I'd leave tough/weave where they are at. Lastly I'd make a new single target confuse power for the presence pool with a short duration as the pool talks about charming people as that would allow more build diversity. This way I could sneak provoke in while still needing a 3 power investment to get weave, and then it creates a whole new build dynamic about having a confuse power for any toon that wants to experiment (naturally existing confuse powers would be stronger than the pool variant). -
Personally, I'm team Warshade all the way. I personally am all about triform changelings and using binds to quick shift as necessary. Warshade is fairly unique in playstyle. When the servers went dark I missed Kheldians the most as it was fairly unique in their lore, albeit the Klyntars are similar in nature (I've been a huge Venom fan since back in the 80's when I was a kid, so it's fitting I like Kheldians). I've been an advocate of Kheldians in general getting a balance pass as I find them underperforming compared to many other ATs. I also miss voids and cysts, as unique aspects that made playing Kheldians more chaotic and challenging.

Blessing of the Zephyr/Toggle question
SeraphimKensai replied to BastionWalls's topic in General Discussion
1. Those powers aren't mutually exclusive anymore. 2. If you have the IO in a power that you have available at that level I'm pretty sure you sleet the benefit of the io. Check your stats in-game to verify. -
Welcome back to another weekly discussion. Sorry for the delay in posting, been at home watching my infant daughter and entertaining out of town guests. This time we look into Kheldians and how they fit into CoH. What are your thoughts about Kheldians? How do they play in your experience? How's their lore from your perspective? Do you miss voidstalkers and random cysts occasionally popping up while running missions? What story elements would you like to see implemented for Kheldians? Would you like to see any changes to how the ATs play? Do you embrace the changeling playstyle swapping forms as you desire, or do you play and prefer one form more than others, or maybe even eschew shape shifting in general? Do you embrace shape shifting binds/macros or play without them? Lastly Team Peacebringer or Team Warshade?
-
That would be interesting and just about any character could get some degree of use out of one. The values would have to be pretty small though 5/10/15/25 percent bonuses or such for 30 seconds?

So there's a quite a few people that play fire/kin Corruptors and a couple of us with elec/kind that can solo monsters and AVs. I think you need to define your farming better. Are we talking fire farming, s & l in the AE or TV/Portal Corp mishes? What kind of enemies are you fighting? Can they mez you? Are you solo farming or running with an alt or a group? You could go sonic blast, but I build that as a defender myself. Once you know what you're going to fight you could reasonably make a build to shore up those defenses and give yourself a resistance based shield and that's probably the best way to go.

I've played all the armor sets at some point over the years. My first 50 was an invulnerability/axe tank named Assisted Suicide that dinged 50 at a cyber cafe in Kuwait before heading over to Iraq. These were the days of Perma Unstoppable and while we can't get that back armor sets in general work really well. Invulnerability itself is in the best place it's ever been, and honestly over-tuned IMO given that it's traditional hole to psi was plugged. Stone Armor is also in a really great place given it's changes over the last couple of years. Energy Aura is insanely good especially on a stalker. Rad Armor might be my favorite armor set due to proc bombing ground zero and radiation therapy (I just wish I could do a nofx option). I really like Dark Armor a lot despite it's high endurance cost, once you build around that the set just works and gets some amazing resilience despite not having something akin to Dull Pain. Fiery Aura sadly I've relegated over the last decade or so to farming, albeit a fun em/fa pvp brute back when cov launched. I should make a FA non farming tank and see how resilient I can make it with a barrier, melee, rune rotation and 100% slow res. My old spines/regen was historically one of my favorite toons back when regen was whatever doesn't one shot you doesn't matter. At this point it's probably best on a Sentinel (and I like my AR/Regen Jesus concept toon), but I have a savage/regen brute that I tried to make as resilient as I could and it was tolerable but not very impressive. I still would like to see regen on a tanker, but I don't like a taunt aura on integration.

I personally would be open to hamis, synthetic hamis, titan-o's, and D-Syncs being convertible but only if they retain their own grouping. I don't want to see a HO rerolled into a D-Sync as that would trivialize Dr. Aeon SF. That said with these types of IOs there's been vast price differences for years where if you get a microfilament you feel like you hit the jackpot compared to a golgi.

Welcome back folks. This week we tackle defense, resistance, regeneration, resilience, etc. based armor sets. What defensive powerset do your u enjoy playing the most? The least? Is there a particular defensive powerset that you feel compelled a overtuned? If that only on particular ATs? What about any that you perceive as undertuned? What about playing defensive based sets whether they use defense, resistance, regen, or some combination thereof that appeal to you the most? D you take taunt if available? How does each armor set stack up at various difficulty levels? What type of agro management do you focus on if any? What kind of experience do you have tanking whether as a tank or other melee based toon with an armor based powerset? Solo? Small teams? Large teams? Leagues? How does your experience with such support your assertions regarding each defensive powerset? What defensive powerset synergies do you use with other powersets or pools? As always thanks a ton.

This reminds me of my old endeavor Aron in Pokemon during a sandstorm and then we'll get taking out lvl 100 pokemon in battles.

Hmmm I don't even remember how I heard about it, a friend of a friend or something like that, but that was years ago at this point. Otherwise made a few HC accounts, have a Thunderspy one, a Rebirth one, otherwise I have the binaries and my own private server as a solo project for me to just kinda putz around with the database and goof off.

I have maybe 10 or so lvl 50 Corruptors and my fav hands down is my ice/dark/dark. That toon felt good the whole way up. Other fun pairings: Elec/Kin Fire/Poison Beam/Traps One combo I wish I didn't roll even though it was cool concept was an archery/trick Arrow toon. I love trick Arrow in general, but the archery set left something to be desired.

Following last week's conversation on buffs, this week we look at debuffs. Feel free to discuss, compare, and contrast any debuffs in the game. Do you have a preferred debuff centric set you enjoy? Is there one that you don't like? What do you find enjoyable about playing a debuffer? Is there anything that holds you back from playing as a debuff? Do you have any interesting thoughts for a new debuff based powerset? Do you find debuffs to be in a good place now or do they need tuning? As always thanks for playing.

My understanding of the reasoning that original accounts were scrubbed, and I could be wrong, at the score/homecoming transition was that all the original accounts had SPII (sensitive personally identifiable information) - credit card numbers, real names, billing addresses, etc. tied to them. So it was easier work to just delete that account database rather than go line by line. As a means of helping people catch back up to where they were Jimmy made the P2W double XP option.

I couldn't come up with a new interesting AT powerset combo so I'm taking a break for Diablo 4 currently (despite my whirlwind barb already being nerfed). I'm hoping the break gives me some newfound or inspiration to come up with a new toon that I haven't ran before.

Most new players don't use inspirations
SeraphimKensai replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion
Here I am with my usual inspiration load out of a row of ultimates and then a bunch of large/super team inspirations and a number of inspirations in email just because I alt so much.
