  1. I started a Regen/Stone Melee. I had contemplated a 6th SS tank, but figured I'd make my 3rd Stone Melee one. Also will be rolling Psi/* but haven't settled on the concept. Likely fire for a PK/TK psychic.
  2. Ah that makes more sense. The patch notes just said resistance modifiers and didn't specify resistance debuff modifiers.
  3. I can honestly get behind a boost for brutes. But I'd rather them having something closer to fury 1.0 with the old damage cap and letting them loose like a wrecking ball.
  4. I might have a bit of dissenting opinion on that I don't necessarily mind the offensive needs as tankers were overtuned offensively. That said I don't like the change to resistance modifiers to match other melee ATs. Tankers are supposed to be meat shields and have had a higher resistance modifier since launch.

I've been pretty busy with work, family, and professional development lately, so my play time has been scarce, I think I played a couple weeks ago, but couldn't tell you what toon I was playing or what I was doing. When I do get a chance to play, and choose to play CoX I try to aim for around 60 minutes. Sometimes there's more time available or less time available..
  6. It wasn't much of a choice, I could have worked at blockbuster or get flown across the world to rapidly disassemble buildings and dig holes for swimming pools by using explosives. I guess I saw the writing on the wall with Blockbuster, as Netflix had started shipping DVDs directly to people's homes saving them the trip to the video store. Maybe that was the precursor to their demise. Anyways I got to play the most immersive Modern Warfare game out there, so much to the point I quit playing the genre as it was just a pale comparison. I wonder though what I would have ended up doing had I taken that Blockbuster job instead....

  8. What's wrong with being a sith? I simply want to bring order to a dysfunctional system. Realistically as a disgruntled middle aged man who's a public servant and a combat vet, I'd probably be a grey force user that has some sith tendencies.
  9. Apologies! I really thought it was you who coined the proc monsters thread If memory serves correctly that was @Sir Myshkin who did the proc monster threads. I'm usually the guy doing the what stout to pair with my steak tonight threads (and I suppose an assortment of other stuff too).
  10. As I was summoned to the thread on the first page I will say, I don't remember doing too much testing, but my memory has more holds in it than a sieve these days so who knows. As a means of not incriminating myself to anything, I officially plead the 5th. That said I'm not a fan of the overcap mechanic myself and agree the sentiments that @macskull and @FupDup raised.
  11. It works differently based on your character origin. So if you're magic, it's a magical black hole that draws mobs in or phases them. If you're tech based, you toss a mini black hole generator and it draws mobs in or phases them. If you're science based, you mix a couple vials together and it causes a reaction which creates a black hole that draws mobs in and phases others. If you're a mutant, it gives you an ability which generates black holes every time you fart that draw mobs in and or phases them. Whew.... And lastly if you're natural, you're just hoping not to get drawn in and or phased yourself. Personally I think they went a little overboard with breaking it up into five different ways to make a black hole. If it were me, I would pull in all mobile NPCs, while phasing stationary ones like turrets or hami, or such. I'll defer to you to test since you have to be inside during the day while the rest of us work. Just bring your laptop into your coffin.
  12. The last character I made has a food allergy to coconuts. Since our characters don't eat or drink anything, that weakness hasn't been an issue.

  15. Honestly I really like necro, despite not carrying about zombie lore much at all, necro mm's just make great mm's. I have 4 robots, 3 necros, 2 demons, 1 thugs, and 1 ninja at this point. Maybe one day I'll finish off a beast and a merc.
  16. For future reference the $$ acts sort of as a line break separating commands, so that's why your original version had issue.

Following up on this thread: @mistagoat and @Scarlet Shocker my elec^3 sentinel is 50 now and I'm in the process of getting incarnates/accolades I missed, otherwise I've finished slotting my build (aside of getting my microfilaments, cyto, and nucleolus up to +3). It's died a couple times as I was getting used to it and getting distracted as I eschewed building for defense and just standing around idle will get most things killed. Otherwise when actively played it's flooring end and recovery of damn near everything it touches whether it's a pack of mobs, an AV, or giant monster. I heard someone yesterday saying the game wouldn't let them give Adamastor a CAB, after they noticed his end went down to zero fast. All in all, I'm digging the elec^3 sent.

  19. Oh come on Snarky, you love the rainbow. 🌈. @Ultimo there's quite a few power interactions like that that would be nice to color (dark extraction for instance).
  20. There haven't been any significant changes since electric blast was changed to add the shocked mechanic a couple years or so back. Most elec/elec builds you find on the forums within the last couple years should be realistically useable.
  21. As a player if I get confused I always pop buildup/aim, 10 or so red inspirations and kill my teammates because it's role playing.
  22. I typically don't publicly post my builds, but I send ya a pm later tonight as I'm not at my home machine and don't get to fire it up until after my kid goes to sleep.

I made a build for it last night, and eschewing defense mantra, the build get most resistances to the 50-60's while having hasten perma with TB, Charge, and Energize having recharges around 24 seconds. So the build will have decent heals/regen padded on top of a decent baseline resistance. It has 100% debuff res against slows and end drain as well, so no cares about sappers or stacked caltrops. All the while leveraging tons of -end/-recovery and including 2x -res procs along with several damage procs in key powers. I plan to make it elec/elec/elc (which I hardly ever keep a uniform theme across the board) for elec fences and shocking field (to synergize with being in melee for use of short circuit) I have family in from out of town so I'm hosting, but once they go home I'll be able to ramp up and give it more testing.
