I'm late to the party as usual. There's some great stuff throughout this post to help point you in a direction. If I were to add a suggestion for a safe scrapper powerset, and since you seem to like pairing themed powers, I would suggest you look at......Stone Melee and Stone Armor. You'll get get defenses, increased damage, increased HP and overall pretty good mitigation with powers like mud pots, fault, and tremor. Not to mention an oh shit power in Geode. You also mentioned you're a newer player, so take note on the forums there's guides on how to make money to fund buying things like IOs. Also once you get a toon to 50, your in-game income from drops is a lot nicer than at low levels. Lastly good luck with getting the job. I've been in-between work before and it can be a pain in the ass.

In addition to the powerset combos you've been given you could also combine a sword based melee AT with the revolver temp power from the p2w vendor as that would give you a gun and sword, then you'd have some kind of magical armor with your secondary and can lean into sorcery for more magic.

While FoN is a weaker form of Super Strength's Handclap in that FoN has a 50% chance to stun, that's still 50% which ends up stunning 5 mobs when at 10 or more targets. That's not bad for a form of mitigation by any means. While Electric Fence can be used to help prevent runners, chances are if you're teaming that someone else might be say a controller or domi and have imobs covered. So in practice it's usefulness will vary. A stormblast/elec blaster I would design to operate in melee range as that's the bread and butter of a number of your powers.

Also if this is a laptop especially, sometimes the thermal compound can dry out, get flakey and crack. At that point the GPU isn't being properly cooled. If you're technically savvy, you can open up the internal components and wipe away the old thermal compound and replace it with a new one. That can definitely help if you're overheating, however you have to be careful when doing the procedure to make sure you don't mess any thing else up.

Welcome back for another week. This week while I'm sure you're busy playing page 6, I wanted to bring the discussion to Red Side. It's clear there's significantly more players that gravitate towards Blue side then Red. How do you feel about the current state of Red Side? If you had you split your play time between blue, red, and gold, how much percent out of 100 would you say you spend playing red side? What do you think about the mission content of red side? How about.the atmosphere/weather? What would get you to play more on red side now then you currently do? What would you change about red side in general if you were able to do so? Thanks again folks.

Suggestions for Development and testing
SeraphimKensai replied to Puma's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Good luck. The bureaucracy of immigration requirements can definitely be a pain in the ass. -
Elec armor isn't bad imo, however it's going to keep you on the ground to prevent you from getting kb'd. It does seem to require a lot of recharge though to keep Energize perma. I don't particularly see electric armor as better on a Brute than a Tanker, but it is better than on a Scrapper, Stalker, or Sentinel due to damage caps. If your point regarding the rage crash is using power sink after a rage crash to restore endurance than maybe, but it's kinda a moot point to Radiation armor given the amount of end recovery the set gets. Both sets being resistance based and not defense based disregard the -def impact of rage crashes equally. Part of the reason I suggested Radiation Armor as a Brute was due to the OP looking at combining Radiation Armor with Super Strength. A Tanker version will hit 16 mobs with Foot stomp as opposed to the Brute hitting 10, but factoring in the largely single target nature of super strength and fury I thought super strength made more sense at least to me as a Brute (I know it's probably the most popular melee set for tankers due to the sheer number of Invuln/SS tanks out there, it's a damn good set either way). As I mentioned with heavy IO investment Radiation Armor (and Elec Armor for that matter) is able to close the distance to the resistance levels a tank is easier to get due to their larger buff values. If you're able to hit the resistance hardcaps then excess resistance is wasted, so it makes more sense to then build towards damage or some other stat (that's why most tanker builds will lean into proc slotting for more damage). A Brute with a decent build can get their resistance levels to the cap, or what you can do reasonably well is build them to a point that you can cycle things like: rune of power, meltdown, melee core, and even demonic (although you can get 100% uptime with the first three without demonic). This allows you to hit your resistances, where you also have tons of end recovery, decent slow resistance (which through slotting you can get to 100%) to help your main clicks Particle Shielding, Radiation Therapy, Ground Zero, and Meltdown. A well built radiation armor toon typically will be survivable enough to actually utilize Radiation Therapy and Ground Zero for pbaoe proc bombs to supplement super strength's lack of AoE. Electric Armor in comparison well although it will hit similar resistance values and uses a direct heal with regen against radiation armor's absorb and regen. They both have recharge bonuses. Elec armor gets lightning field and power sink compared to Radiation Therapy and Ground Zero (I prefer the two heavy hitting proc bombs myself), and radiation armor's t9 is significantly better than elecs as it provides you with more damage and doesn't drop you to 10% HP. Sorry for the very long post. I actually like both sets for various reasons as I have tankers, brutes, scrappers, and sentinels of each. I also have a rad armor stalker, but haven't tried elec on stalker, but haven't tried elec on stalker.

Assault Rifle Revamp Live Means New Character Time!
SeraphimKensai replied to TatoSak's topic in Corruptor
I like my AR/Regen Sent, but on live I used to play an AR/Devices blaster that was fun as well. If you're going corruptor I would pair it with storm or cold for double stacked freezing rain/sleet to help your bullets make more of an impact. -
I'd suggest looking at Tactical Arrow or Plant Manipulation.
-
Plant Control/Trick Arrow. Thank me later.

Is there a reason you want to run granite primarily? It has a significant recharge and damage penalty. A stone tank can be made near immortal even without granite these days. Then again if it's for your concept enjoy.
-
Ghost Widow was the only reason I suggested it as it fit the "night" motif better at least imo. If you wanted to play the melee aspect more could go focus and shockwave instead.
-
Not saying it needs to be changed as I find the melee attacks definitely make up for it, but what about replacing Mental Blast and Psy Scream with Dark (Night) themed powers. Perhaps Gloom and Soul Drain?

It's not just here in the civilian world, I heard TRADOC changed the vernacular so much that incoming privates no longer get called F... Face at basic, and about 95% of the cadences we used to call or any of the stupid pranks we played on each other would likely get us sent to the fourth floor now a days. Korea over as Casey was probably my favorite duty station. Your part about the Korean Cops and best case scenario that he be brought back the next day. I was an E-4 at the time with a couple other guys from my section and our E-4 KATUSA Hwang. We go downrange to a bar to pick up some ladies. Hwang brings us to a bar none of us had even heard of, a Korean bar. Hell myself and the other two from our section were the only Americans in there. This was not your typical Drinky Girl bar as that wasn't my scene. We're lining up shots of Soju and I even bought a couple rounds for the bar on my almost non-existent E4 pay grade. Evening is going well but there were 5 drunk Korean dudes that were pissed at us and came by and started attacking us. Luckily enough I was a 2nd dan black belt in Taekwondo, and Hwang had been doing it before he could walk. The other two guys weren't the greatest in a fight. But the fight spilled outside the bar and we see the lights on a bus turn on and 30 KNP come marching off the bus with their bamboo staves. The 9 of us stop fighting, we know shit just got real. We all scatter and hide. Me and a guy that were just fighting are hiding behind a dumpster behind the bar. After like ten minutes the KNP gave up looking for us. The guy I was fighting looks up and in perfect English says "That was a good fight, I can tell you've studied Taekwondo for a while." I link back up with Hwang and the other two and we head back avoiding the 2 E-6 CP we saw figuring they might of heard about the fight from the KNP. We get back to the barracks with just some bruises and scrapes. I'm glad the KNP didn't catch us because 30 guys beating the 9 of us with bamboo staves didn't sound like a fun time.

[Heroic] [40-54] Adventures in Oz - Arc ID: 55080
SeraphimKensai replied to Ankylosaur's topic in Mission Architect
Ah makes sense. I've only ever read the first book, but my daughter and I have done books 1-8 as audiobooks together. Shaggy Man sure seemed to kick some ass, I figured with his love charm he'd be confusing mobs instead. -
Not exactly. Both sets get decent Regen and Absorb. Bio is more of a hybrid based defensive powerset in that it uses a mix of res, defense, Regen, absorb, extra HP and has forms but once IOd you'll build to play in offensive all the time. Rad gets pretty damn good resistances, bonus recharge, absorb, and a couple great pbaoe proc bombs. Both sets are strong. I think you'd be happy either way. Also fire was recently buffed as well which put some -def on the swords, and because of the overall tank at revamp breath of fire gets a decent size cone if you wanna role play a dragon.

mish 1 seems good. mish 2 phantasms are spelt phanfasms in your mission, first and foremost was difficult to spot. wasn't expecting Jack in Irons. Also the portal to oz is difficult to see. mish 3 i wasn't expecting that. hungry tiger needs to talk about wanting to eat a fat baby. so glad tik-tok made it in, and damn you got allegro's costume spot on. I'd double check your mission text for grammar and the occasional spelling, but overall so far pretty good. I'll have to finish the rest later. -
I'm not opposed to this outright as there's some 30° cones which are a joke. That said someone will find a way to get a cone to like 360° and unmake existence as we know it.

Like many I really like Knockout Punch and The punching version of Foot Stomp. I also really like the whole Storm Summoning set, and for the most part control sets (aside from Mind Control). My least favorite animation is Neutron Bomb, because of its speed before the effect is applied. I don't know if anyone else can see this picture without thinking "Hadouken" and that I swear it seemed growing up that I didn't know a single person that didn't follow up a Hadouken with a Hurricane Kick into a Shoryuken.

If you disable the firewall in general can you play? If not it's likely something else interfering.

In the FA, we woke up still drunk in our PT clothes in our vehicles in the parking lot so our Section Chief could come tap on the glass wake us up for formation. Use a portable electric shaver to shave quick enough so Top didn't blow a gasket when the BC showed up. Then we proceeded to go run 10 miles and sweat the booze out. We didn't get the luxury of going to sick call for stuff like that as Smoke would literally tell you suck it up and if you could make it to formation you could make a 10 mile run. Then again the Army was a different animal in those days prior to all the changes in the past couple decades.

Tip for traveling via teleport, don't have autorun on so you hover a bit so you can chain teleports. Also if you want a faster bind than your current "/bind lshift+lbutton, powexec_name Teleport", try "/bind shift+lbutton, powexec_location cursor Teleport" My bind takes the extra click out of it and just teleports you to the maximum distance in the direction that your mouse cursor is aiming. That should significantly speed up your teleporting.
