  1. Aim first, then Vulnerability. Using Aim during Vulnerability takes time out of Vulnerability, but using Vulnerability during Aim takes almost no time. The exception is when you’re helping your teammates before you’re in range or when you’re on a different target, then Vulnerability first.
  2. The power is designed so that no matter what your powerset is it does Something for you, and so that no matter what your teammates powers are it does Something for them as well. Not Every aspect of the debuff will be useful to the soloist, but every soloist will benefit from it in some way.
  3. Yea, we do disagree. I don’t think there should be ANY incentives that aren’t either content or unlockables.
  4. What you can see is that it didn’t work. People play where they want to play, regardless of “incentives”. So it doesn’t really serve anything to restrict a power to one alignment.
  5. What good is that? Why should that be the way it is? I don't see a good reason for that.
  6. What I WOULD support is NOT adding these powers to P2W but instead require they be UNLOCKED on the appropriate side, just like Patron Powers. As long as AFTER we unlock them we can use whichever of the 4 we choose. Heck let us use ALL OF THEM, but have them share cooldowns.
  7. that’s exactly right. and there’s no good reason why I shouldn’t be able to.
  8. in fact the idea that people do one alignment or another for the alignment power (besides Maybe Dominators going Villain for Frenzy) is pretty bizarre to me. I certainly don't see it as an incentive.
  9. The Star or Spider next to my health bars. I don’t object to ALSO giving everyone access to all the maps.
  10. to me the incentive has always been the content and the badges and titles. I don’t see what other incentive I need.
  11. No, it does not ignore resistances. Just level differences and defense.
  12. I don't know if others can see your alignment, but the issue is that it changes what contacts you get and what missions you can take. It also changes the names of Badges and Titles that you get. THAT has a big impact on roleplay.
  13. not really. I want to be able to be any alignment for roleplay reasons while simultaneously being able to take any of the powers for gameplay reasons. Travel restrictions are a separate issue.
  14. one Sentinel has about 50% uptime on one target in a long fight. So making it perma in a gm or av fight is definitely an issue, past the first 45 seconds or so. Depends on how hard stuff you’re fighting of course. It’s not for minions. Using it on a minion is a waste. The Debuffs ignore level differences, so it’s stronger than you might think, and the debuff and mez resistance debuffs are also handier than you might expect. Considering it’s an auto hit def and res debuff with no end cost and no activation time, it’s about as powerful as would be balanced. Keep in mind the old Opportunity debuff also did not stack, only the small passive debuff. That was replaced by the base damage increase, so losing the stacking part is not really a problem.
  15. it does not. And it cannot be cast on a target that already has it on them. So you can’t waste it. But two Sentinels can keep it perma on one target easily, and you can put it on multiple targets.
  16. I would argue that the benefit of giving players greater choice in their builds outweighs this.
  17. Let us choose, probably at the P2W, any of the 4 alignment powers, regardless of which alignment we actually are!
  18. No argument, no matter how well reasoned, is going to get you past the fact that you are asking to be able to skip a large chunk of what the game actually consists of. And ultimately the only argument for it is sheer laziness, you can have a 50 in a few hours (as opposed to the more numerous hours of actually levelling through the game), but even that is too long for you. It's not going to happen.
  19. I don't know, I haven't really looked for it. But if I was going to look, I would start here:
  20. I recommend going with Pain instead of Empathy.
  21. I definitely understand how someone who liked the old Force Bubble could find the new Repulsion Field frustrating, but as someone who found the old Force Bubble basically useless I really like having the smaller radius.
  22. You might give them another shot. VASTLY better than at release.
  23. How long does it take to PL to 50 in Page 5? More than a few hours?
