Yea, again though I don’t think that’s a problem. The sniper changes simply brought parity to range vs melee.

those changes aren’t made by homecoming. Those were on the i24 Test server when the game shut down. The sniper change is great, the removal of nuke crashes is great. I think, but I’m not certain, the nukes also had their damage “normalized” instead of some mobs taking less damage. If I’m right about that, that may have been too much. Maybe the recharge is also too low?

Well sure, that helps too. You want 45% Def to Range/Melee/AoE for most standard content. Once you have that, adding resistance will help for sure.

Personally I really like Regen, but your reaction is not atypical and very understandable. For Regen your priority is Recharge, for SR your priorities are Defense and Endurance.

It's also pretty unfair to compare Sentinels to Blasters and Corruptors, NEITHER OF WHICH HAVE ARMOR, and then to NOT mention the added survivability that adds. Surely Armor belongs under positives?

I do, however, agree that Sentinel sets, both primaries and secondaries, and epics, could be given another look over to see where they could be modified to better suit the AT.

Sentinels are not the counterpart of Blasters and Corruptors. They are a counterpart to Scrappers. Compared to Scrappers they DO have something Scrappers don't have: Range and Nukes. Only Electrical Melee approaches what Sentinels do on AoE. If compared correctly to the other Armored DPS (Scrappers and Stalkers) Sentinels are almost as tough, while being able to avoid many attacks entirely, do as good or better AoE and carry an Auto Hit debuff that ignores level differences (you didn't mention this, but it cannot be ignored as that is what makes Vuln good in the situations that call for it).

It will take some time for people to learn to use Vuln effectively. Figuring out when to use it and when NOT to use it takes some practice.

They should all be on the side. All the Badge Received, You got your First Tip, First Salvage, EVERYTHING. They should all be on the side, or in the corner. Ideally we would be able to customize where they appear, or even IF they appear.

I think Alignment should be essentially meaningless, except for contacts/content/badges/titles/etc, just like Origin. I can see that there's a problem in that Heroes and Villains are at a disadvantage content wise. I don't have a specific solution for that. One would have to be found. However, the idea that RP choices should have meaningful mechanical consequences is awful, just like it was for Origins.

These are the reasons why I play villains. Not Frenzy.

If that’s the only reason to be a villain character then THAT should be addressed. By that logic there’s also no reason to play a hero character, which should also be addressed.

@El D had a cool suggestion, which is the idea that you can use all the powers whichever alignment you are, BUT they will run out if you don't play as that alignment, and you could go play as that alignment to charge them up. THAT would make them an actual incentive, as @Rudra wanted, rather than the carrot and stick they are now.

Aim first, then Vulnerability. Using Aim during Vulnerability takes time out of Vulnerability, but using Vulnerability during Aim takes almost no time. The exception is when you’re helping your teammates before you’re in range or when you’re on a different target, then Vulnerability first.

The power is designed so that no matter what your powerset is it does Something for you, and so that no matter what your teammates powers are it does Something for them as well. Not Every aspect of the debuff will be useful to the soloist, but every soloist will benefit from it in some way.

Yea, we do disagree. I don’t think there should be ANY incentives that aren’t either content or unlockables.

What you can see is that it didn’t work. People play where they want to play, regardless of “incentives”. So it doesn’t really serve anything to restrict a power to one alignment.
