The issue is support sets want mobs bunched up so their debuffs more easily hit everyone. Also, if I had a dime for every time I went in to Fulcrum Shift and things got KBed away, I could buy me a few things.

More and more playing powersets which I've never played before.

New Computer - Any pitfalls to worry about?
Without_Pause replied to dmiasek's topic in General Discussion
FYI, my PC uses AMD Ryzen 5, I run dual monitors, and even dual box perfectly fine. I just went and looked at my settings and put everything in Ultra mode to 100% and I'm fine, so yeah. -
/EnA shouldn't have that much issue hitting S/L Def cap without splitting the ATO set. It's a Claws build, but even the non-final build caps S/L/F/C/E. Negative is just under 40%.

One problem here is that Blasters aren't getting DDR. Soft cap all you want, but it won't take much for that Def to go bye bye.

It 'runs' on 'anything.' What I can tell you performance is vastly better on a device with a dedicated video card versus without. Without one, maps can turn into a slideshow and in all honestly it is a decent enough number of commonly run maps to where yes, it is annoying as hell. Yes, I turned down the graphics to as low as I could tolerate and still got the slideshow at times. I know the original Devs mentioned the game isn't super friendly with Intel if that matters. I grabbed an AMD PC with a dedicated video card, and haven't looked back. I assume a decent Intel with a dedicated graphics card is fine, but I don't directly know. -
Request for assistance: Storm/Psi build and thoughts
Without_Pause replied to Pazradym's topic in Defender
Scramble Thoughts would enable you to mezz a boss. FYI, I think at a minimum I do 5 passes on a build before I'm happy with it. I even did a build where it looked fine on paper and then I went and played it which lead to even more changes including powers. I did a Claws/ea Scrapper and got the Brute version into the 40s before doing another change. -
Heh. I didn't even look at the powers all that much. But yeah, you freaking take CU.

Dark uses cones enough to where I would rank something like DP higher.

I still pick 2 ST attack and 2 AoEs + nuke from the primary. There simply might be some missions it is better to stay at range due to mezzes or the diff setting is a bit over your head. Carnies will drain End when they die so being at range can do wonders for your End bar. I'll pick the melee attacks I find useful. Anything with a mezz or AoE are easy adds.

They are listed simply because the OP said they didn't think any other T9 was that long. Yes, they are different, but again, EMP Arrow is very similar and has a 5 minute recharge. Considering Controller AoE Holds are on a 4-miute timer, good luck getting either of those powers down to 90 seconds. And if you don't have Chrono Shift down to perma, are you really playing with Time? 🤣FYI, without slotting being done or Incarnates involved, my Time/rad has a listed recharge of 89.16 seconds. My Fire/time Controller will get there with Incarnates.

Do you plan on running Swift as you fight? I don't see the need for a HO in it. You have so much end recovery, I would look at moving the basic End Mod from Stamina to something like Sprint so you can get the 2.25% S/L Resist, or maybe some other bonus elsewhere. Even adding the slot to Fast Healing and converting that over to a set might be worth it.

I can't recall the last time a Scrapper joined the team, and I noticed. You'll notice when a Blaster is added. I've been on teams with two, and I feel like they should leave more for the rest of the team. 😀 End game Blasters are incredibly good right now.

I find coloring Rad tends to make it more tolerable.

If that isn't a Katara homage, then it is one of the best accidental ones.

This is simply about DPS. For a Stalker, that is only done on a ST level. This doesn't factor in things like utility. Ice Patch is pretty much cheat code. FA sleeps mobs which means a Stalker can go and pick through a mob at their own pace. Ice as an overall set is absolutely S tier on a Stalker.

honoroitisfantastic whats your most pressing issue?

It was for a mission set at +1/x8 so not a whole lot. I find only the bonus for an end of an arc being with a damn. -

If I do 5 packs of 10 in a mission even at +4, then yes, my XP bar is going to move much more. -

You should really try out an MMO that has an actual end game because having gone elsewhere, CoH is criminally non-existent. Blitzing through 50+4 content on a team is some of the most boring content there is. -

Being able to pull off something you shouldn't be able to solo due to the difficulty of it and yet get crap rewards for it. I got the Hunt 50 Rikti mission from Tina. I went to the island area in PI and cleared out the 50 Rikti as a level 43. My XP bar barely moved. -

I don't have map names, but you essentially want outdoor maps. Battle Maiden being one. There is another that is similar but has two islands. I can't recall exactly the Infernal one as he appears on multiple. I believe the old school Fire map was one were you went around the edge of the map and there was a large lower area you went down and cleared out. Maybe not the best map, but the one that that is similar to PP has a nice open area. I know Tina gives that map for a badge although she's only max level 45. I know Maria gives that map as well. Oh, the city map that Marauder uses. That's Point A to B, clear to the other street, and back down again. -
If you look at their totals, the end usage versus recovery is quite good. Also, As much as I don't suggest using the Power Transfer: Chance to Heal Self for a set with a heal, that and the End Mod is likely more beneficial for your HP bar than the 16 HP bonus you are getting from Efficacy Adaptor. One tick from the proc is multitudes higher than 16 HP.

If you just want the arc rewards, you can blow through that arc even quicker. I think someone did a video of doing it with an Emp Defender in 15 minutes, and he admitted that was slow. A Stalker would be even faster. -

For fire farms, it's still cap Fire Def and Resist. My first run through post changes sucked since I was rusty as I hadn't played in a while, but the second run was clean, and is as long as I don't brain fart my run. But seriously, there's no real advantage to running +4/x8 in AE versus standard missions. Any decent Stone, Rad, or Bio Brute or Tank is going to run all over Murdertown for regular content for farmable maps. Hell, my Ice/stone Brute did a +4/x8 Council map even before hitting 50, and no, I didn't need Ice Patch. It was slow as watching paint dry though, but it's different now with Incarnates.
