Wow really hard to keep the core of that Hasten-less build intact without dropping the numbers. I can't find a way to drop Spores and maintain the +Rchg because you end up over the cap on the +10% bonuses otherwise. On my Plan/Storm I'm not in love with the flytrap, but again I can't seem to find away to keep the defense numbers up without it (or at least without making the build very different) In the end I came up with this. The goal was to get Vines and its set bonus earlier. that's done at the expense of Fly, but it lets me introduce Consume late in the build although I don;t really know that I'll need it. you could take Fly instead, but I'm not a fan of late travel powers. I think the tradeoff are worth the extra +7.5% recharge at lvl18 I moved the spare slot into Roots for a Gladiator Javelin Proc, or you could put that same proc in the snipe I also need to work on the slotting order

Oedipus_tex, as always thorough and helpful answer and followup tip!

Interesting, (barely) perma-domination without Hasten, so also slightly over power recharges, but not that far off really. great defense, high regen, and weird resistance probably as a side effect of the sets rather than by design? I had started shopping or a different build but I'm thinking about giving this one a try even though it has a few things that bug me and will decide how that works out . I wasn't planning of making another hoverer but maybe that's OK, or I'll figure out how pu work in another travel set, or not travel set which is fine by me. Maybe take consume then, but not sure if the build needs it I'm not a fan of Spores? I suppose it's useful solo, but I mostly team, only solo Tina's Antimatter arc because it's how I gauge the solo effectiveness of a build (I solo here and there on the way up of course). I find Vines more useful as an "oh sh!t" power but its recharge sucks any strategic use of spore I'm not thinking of? I think I'll miss the buildup, but it loos like that build is design for non-bursty damage
-
Following this too. Neither set is something I brought to 50 , I'm hoping the combination will finally be the winner

Having a ton of fun with my lowbie Plant/Fire! I have a Plant Storm that was a hoot, but I think this one will solo faster. My search-fu is weak, I'm not seeing many builds. Permadom is a must, high survivability like soft-cap everything would be good. Money is no object Something that examplars well wouldn't hurt Travel Power optional

Lol mine is Elsa Geiger and he battle cry's is Let It Go 🙂 -
terminus I'm using the build posted earlier and it's working nicely. I haven't looked at any changes/optimizations but I could see using an HO in Frost instead of the yellow IOs

LOL you got me

and several of the other powers are Auto

Are you referring to the number showing up in the info pane when hovering over a power? across from the End Cost number? Without the LoTGs (emptied the slots in Mids), without Blinding Feint, the lowest accuracy I see there is 153%, with some powers as high as 181% With Blinding Feint (which I try to use constantly) the 153% jumps to 174%, add in the Nerve incarnate and I get to 211%, put the LoTGs back in and it's 242% So I think my acc bonus being cut from +90% to +45 is till OK? Not sure what I might do with my new found slots. At least 3 of them off Elude, but also 3 of them off Combat Jump I think. Maybe 3-slot Reactive Defense everywhere for less End use a little bit of Def and minor some extra HP?
-
If you don't use Elude, its endurance cost is a moot point 🙂 I get your point about other powers.
-
Funny enough, Elude lasts so long I keep forgetting to watch for it blinking, then get fully detoggled and die. Most of the time it's because I moved on to the next group forgetting I was still under its effects 🙂 I don't have that problem with Lightform on my PB, it's both perma and shorter duration.
-
As I said in the OP, this is a build I think I got off the forum and liked at the time, but I just restarted playing this character and have forgotten some of its specificities. Elude is 4-slotted with LoTGs. 7.5% global of course, but them focus on defense and recharge, which would imply it is intended to be used There 4 other defense powers 4-slotted with LoTGs, not surprising for a defense-based build trying to achieve positional softcap (fully IO'd all 3 positional defenses are above 50%), but even Combat Jumping is 4-slotted even though it only adds a 3% margin above the softcap. My natural inclination would have been to use the default slots in CJ and Elude for a +7.5% global recharge and leave it at that The 4 LoTGs bonus is +9% accuracy, so I think this particular build was going after high accuracy bonus (+90% bonus total) Did that person hate to miss or dos Dual Blades come with an accuracy handicap? I vaguely remember possibly missing more at low levels, but it's been a while TBH I'm not 100% sure where I would put the found slots, the build has been quite good, but I like to understand why people did things a certain way when I borrow a build (and often tweak it to suit my preferences)
-
I started my DB/SR scrapper a long time ago but only went back to her recently. I think I lifted the build from these forums although I don't remember which thread. The build has Elude well slotted but I don't fell like it's very useful, although it is currently not slotted because I am lvl 38. What I hate about it is that it detoggles you, so not only do you have no endurance but you're "naked" would the Atlas Medaillion create a "reserve" of End or would it get drained too? | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1483;679;1358;HEX;| |78DA6594594F135114C7EFB483B5D0BDEC4B4B41E82643ABF8E01613054D8462A5E| |86BBDB6176832294D07222E3162E2BBA2892FEEBEB8850FE2FA4904133F403DCCF9| |534C3A81FC72CFFF9C39FF73EFDCE636A63DDB9736CF09CD77C19496552C94EAB25| |65375D7BC5C5BAF4B53D0E3C9CBB2BC25ABC38BB2BAEAA240FF7E5631A74CA58CE9| |756916CF9BB2ACAC68539A564BAA6A29A3B0BEB75A504BA6DA5096F0E657574DE36| |2657965AD525DF6D8AB39256BB4F0EF2FCAAA6EAD546AEDF6BA5053AA1C9AA9554A| |06B5B8A38A3969ADA9FAED5E3212A7FFBB7B8EECA7A18BB84388AC2E1C0930C9D45| |3609A99DBABD1EC1AA7D871DAB143BBE02CF3F05FE63D175245A34DBBA1B32699ED| |37C112D3530615739E6A9DDC4773A24F007DAE90D6060F6D5D9A1D0B75820166679| |0799F725DB68B86EE7ACCEFEE7CC2ECDE029F327B9F31F354E366DF9A3B2D58031D| |A475B0263A1EF19E3829E6653FBA778AFBF667C013CCC163EC7DB087D643BAB84A3| |57ECCE0C70C11CC10C10C11CCF0807283D8C7E0577ECFF037F03BF88319FB09FE62| |EA541BC63E86B18F31ECE302695DAC89AE099EAF9B623DF0D5035FA3F0350A5FA3F| |0B549B97DF0D5F782F7EEC84BF015F89A39FE067CCB2C50ED00FA0CA0CF38FAC4D1| |278E3E41CA1DC20C4398218E1946488B428BE28C92E0226923D046509744DD35D2C| |6D8BB730CFD93E8970A8161E643CA4DE09E244EF299A74E318F9E06CF806799EFBC| |42A45193FEC0334F7C043F819F99935F98EFA9C6408D31C1EF9934C049663603669| |921F296C1B79A89F1DC5970506FDE6FFAA34744F5E6ED6DCCA69A6A23D592996989| |645B22C75B22532D91B996485E6FFE2A08CD8EB80374D7E1E4773BA9F826357C93B| |B07318716E3F3F35DE7B3F15D26C675B1F37F5D82EBFE1CC434ED39EF57608B3913| |266027FE01D57DE03F| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

van you put a heal on auto? Maybe the healing Destiny slot, whatever it is? Do make sure that you have both capped def and capped resistance, even a fraction of a percent will make a difference. Also make sure that you calculate it with the "in combat" defense as many powers have difference levels of defense when attacked. Or use the ingame window to confirm your are capped 🙂

I like it!

This is what I respec'd into at 50. Close to what I posted earlier but got rid of Radiant strike, I don't use it that much in the first place. With perma lightform I don;t use dwarf much except at lowerlevels when LF is not available, or when I try to pull aggro from squishies Didn't know what to take at 50 and I hadn't played with Solar Flare so that's what I took this time | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1775;765;1530;HEX;| |78DA65944B4F135114C7EFB433D496F22C2D1468694BA12FFAB280A83146448D084| |A42E2160B0C3A496D490B44977E0A7C7C01DDB841A32B9F1FC2ADC6B582F12DE078| |9CF3A733DA499BDFCC6FEE39F79CB97766F6C694FBE1B95B2785D479BA54ACD516E| |6D4E292BA58D5CA57D5AAE362716DBD5A2C093A5C85DC78A8B2121A2B4C38E872C8| |3A6EE1D2CA8A5AAE691B6A6666FDBA56AEACD7162629DB5AF49F51536AC3A853945| |E74CC552AA5CCF9F28656D316B592B676D36598F955555D761BA7336A719592B41D| |5C2CABD5DA356D55F4502947E8FF4B113874596C1262B2B0DD6636DD61B6DE6506E| |F313F98313691900C971F23E6893FED0677698CC46314E9193BDB7366D30BA6FB25| |B3F51533F89AB94DB176D464EF672707C020F3D0001862EE510C97A50BE581CD702| |DF4BC1D700E2FD7F7910639E19CA85D27D70CD79C22E49D2242812D12BB16B81D1A| |D786716D88959A84E840AD1DC33C6F30C11C8981716636C5FC4C793C9C5BF2204F3| |64E0CC8E20BDDF3229F17BDFBD0BB0FBDF7A2F7347AFF4A31DDA8AB1BB5BEA5247E| |383F7AFF46E3FAE0FAC2C2709FC805E002A845A19E06B07603135C73E828780C3CC| |E0C9F60E6DFCBBCB6141BC1DE884CB21B3C039E65FEA03987D0E350967B181E0573| |60013DA6B8CEEF1413479DF159EEC7476B94824BA1C7567219B80C9C4C35E5E072E| |F386FBF5CDFC3F4A343040DF37759743D6EBDBBCF59920D11B906936F30850633DA| |60661ACC9C5C7F7B846418677BFD9DD0E765CB1E468F1F5C1481FD2AA5F9996D9BC| |E2685F13CA7B1DF2EE37DB0C6C5396EC7EA36797D9D72FDFD92951176ED69666786| |D99365F6E7992E3346526679EDDDD3CC66F39EA26CF1BC2EECA1CE477CDDF598D9F| |B8439F294E9B6C61EC65C49DEF7ED05BEEE1A454D63A8691C9E623D78769E1A3BAF| |E964CF2EF6F51E33BACF8CFD662675A6CF1A7385EB0A1799D145666C89995C66765| |BE76E457DA6B31FE449203EF15FBCDF3A27BE0D83F83644F16D88E1DB90C0B7E102| |05E4B16FB62CE7FE2E3AE735D6DF587CDA6BFAFB11D3FF01012E063B| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

OK so as I was playing my PB in the 20s, without KB IOs, I realized that Dwarf Smite and Flare have weak KB (magnitude 0.67), to unless the foes are KB sensitive it is knockdown. Waste of slot or KB to KD IO. Sweet, gotta adjust my planned build, I just found a slot! where to use it... Nova Blast is real KB (mag >1) but only 10% chance, so porbably not worth the IO I put there either Nova Detonation and especially Dawn Strike on the other hand are a different story I just found one or two slot! where to use it...
-
To illustrate here's Orivon's build above with -KB IOs: You sacrifice Radiant Strike which I almost never use, so you lose 7% accuracy, which takes you from +99% acc to +92% acc for the build. With most of our attacks applying -DEF, I think that's still plenty of accuracy! Also lose 12 HP which is not a big deal (and keep reading) In the process I noticed that the build is over the cap of 5 sets granting 10% recharge: Superior Kheldian Grace, Hecatomb, Armageddon, Superior Essence Transfer, Ragnarok, Apocalypse So one of those is "wasted". One solution would be to run regular, not superior, essence transfer in Photon Seekers and get an extra 6.25% recharge because that bonus now counts. that just made up for more than the +Rchg we lost by unslotting Radiant Strike. You lose about 20 points of damage per activation, You can make it up easily by adding the last freed slot to Seekers and slotting an extra (regular) Essence Transfer, e.g. A/D for now better damage in Seekers. By going from superior to regular you also lose 10HP in set bonus. Not a big deal. But I prefer putting the extra slot in Bright Nova Bolt, and another Superior Essence Transfer (A/D) for a bit extra damage, but you now gain 30 HP in bonus set to offset the 10 you lost above. Panaceas are expensive, you get the exact same effect in Restore Essence by slotting a Doctor's Wound which are much cheaper. given the cost of this whole build, it's minor though. The 2.5% endurance recovery bonus is also over the cap of 5 (3x Panacea, Impervium Armor Gladiator armor, Positron's blast). so one of those is "wasted" but endrec is not a critical stat to the build and I couldn't think of a substitution that would improve the build stats. Ignore the slot level number, such as showing a lvl11 slot in a lvl20 power, it's meant to be a respec build anyway. It has virtually identical stats as Orivon's with a small recharge boost and no knockback. I chose to put the extra slot in Bright Nova Bolt, not seekers or White Dwarf Strike, so it still has KB but it's single target. I left the Crushing impact in Radiant Strike in the build below, but the power is now rather weak, so maybe you play with procs in it. Force Feedback +Rchg? not sure we need more recharge at this point. Analyze weakness chance for +ToHit? never hurts but we're pretty accurate as it is. Blistering Cold chance for hold to stack on Incandescent strike? why not! Achille's heal chance for -REs? sure! Kinetic combat knockdown? How about an acc/dam Hami? Nothing life changing there for though, you pick! I also have the Rchg Enh regular IOs set to +5 because I can and now Hasten is only 4s off perma instead of 8 | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1760;756;1512;HEX;| |78DA6D94DB4E13511486F7B433D496520EA585425BDA52684BE9C902A2C61805E30| |99484C45B2C3098496A4B2810BDF42950E303E88D3768F4CAE34378ABF11AC17816| |705CCCBF6C47C749C937F3CFFAD75E8BBD664FDF98743F3C7BEBA4903A26CAA55A6| |D6E462D2DA8F32B5AE59ABAE2B8545A5D5B2995055DAE627E2C525D8A8C16C71DF4| |38608E9BBBBCB4A4566ADABA9A9D5ABBAE55AA6BB5B9D3946D35FE57D4A46A893A4| |5E9856BA65A2D6767975575D16DDC4EA9A565B2B41B0FE72BEB5A4D9BD7CADAEA4D| |21BA69ED23F4F753117CE9B218B6095190852D033665414F0E0C17C0AD86C726529| |2100959144625E35DE187DDE02EC5488851A467D06CCFC1A617A0E725187EC57C0D| |6E93D7CE35D983D0E410330C1EEA6346C03DF2A02C5D280F50E73E090ED61C5785A| |17D20CDC99A936BD7496B66AD397D10E7143132B6B0D6C2DA0EC5B5B2D6CA5EA949| |8876AEB57D10EB0E2798493093027369F013E5F1C22379394F2E490CC9E233BDF37| |13E1FF7EEE7DEFDDC7B0FF79EE1DEBF90A78BEBEAE25ADF5292006B011FF6E62BC5| |F5B2D61BC5FFE3236921D6425C8B423DF5F1DEF58DA3E6C851E631E671307A022CB| |C97B1B7E48DF16CC4CE40EB9F644E80DF69CD01C4D80772E8617084996716C16F14| |9BE4FA92D3E8C34F7B93662DCDBDB59096652DCB9A87B43C6B79D682727D76E9479| |7081BCAC1ACEA7AD2FC761F8E218B236F510A16A56851462CCA94459991EB5F8D90| |0CC5D956FF16F459D934BBDCCF968B1C123B32D8D3ED866693A23C2B1778CEAEC0F| |7C1EC4BC2B763D636B0AF4EB9FE5D29CA863072B8DF2167DB6D3C77DC01BBEF82C1| |7BA0ABE1959469ECBDFB1CD86CCEBB89F55D3C431D8FF0DCF918EC79020E3F05DD0| |DAFAC1C469D6D45B07304EC1E058363ACCBF56F4E786BD07C0D4DF6EEF23CEF81F1| |7D30F10B1CD241BFD9C3674AB404C6E7C1C40238B4087699D7F6707DFFC9F3A7FF1| |4E749FD932760F6F0D9D0CF67439CCF86049F0D293E1B2E92A1C0F3B369BA0F74D2| |3DF65A7F63D233BE867E3FD6D07F0339E50244| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

I made a PB guide way back in the day on Live, pre-IOs (I think), and because Kheldians have always been starved for slot, IOs allow us to do amazing things. I just finally started a PB on Homecoming, I think it will be my 42nd alt to reach 50 🙂 The keys to playing an OP Peacebringer on homecoming is this: - make lightform perma, because you can still use Nova and Dwarf with light form active (that wasn't true on Live). so you are always at the resist cap except for Psi, which you can cover pretty well through Impervium Armors, as Orivon did here. - grab the heals to make up from the chipping at your loss of HP that passes through resistance. Essence Boost is super easy to perma, so you run with an extra HP boost and heals to refill it. Anything else is mostly user preference and slotting for achieving the perma status. I love the superior damage of radiant strike, others hate the animation time. With easy infinite respecs, mix it up and decide what you like! I love constant form switching for double strike, etc... I am extremely aware of knockback. I play other ATs (e.g. tanks) that rely on being surrounded tightly by a crowd because of how their powers work, and it's annoying as a melee character to go chase foes getting knocked around. Situation awareness is good, like waiting for the controller to spam an immob as Orivon mentioned. Nova flying directly above the battle will cause knock DOWN instead of knockback, but not such luck with Dawn Strike or White Dwarf Strike. You can easily modify Orivon's build to keep enough speed for perma lightform and perma EB but steal slots from some of the early human attacks to slot -KB IOs in the 3 main KB powers, although I recommend doing it later in the game as you get more slots.
-
i'd rather level up a second character or at least do an alternate build on a farmer rather than worry about making a farming build viable for content >Hybrid Radial is much better than Core Can you explain why?
-
If the new release 27 breaks too many characters, I will stop playing the game. I hated having to "redo" characters after an update in Live, I spent enough time figuring out IOs and spending the time on the market to outfit them that I don't think I have the energy to do it again.
-
A's right DreadShinobi, I saved your build in case I ever do Demon/Kin although I already have a demons MM. I do like how you have to be a tube with the pets and micromanage them on this set. A's mentioned by both of you, Heel for Siphon power, concentrate them on one target for transfusion, etc... This is a hovering character by concept (faery-ish) which helps with survivability and placement. I went from lvl9 to 22 last night, so I guess I like it OK. I haven't started using set IOs yet and I have watch my blue bar, but it's fun so far I will not take Repel I think, my Kin defender has it and loves it, here I'd be messing with the beasts' targets, and early on endurance is an issue. I need to read about Fortify Pack some more and experiment with it, I'm not "getting it" and it doesn't seem to do much, maybe because it's not slotted. As I often do I didn't take a travel power at low level to try as many set powers as possible. I find the swarm of bees disappointing but I may look for opportunities for procs and debuffs. Playing in Mids I was trying to come up with a way to skip the fighting pool but I can't really find it so far.
-
so I can compare contrast and steal ideas 🙂 I just started the new toon and never payed Beasts before so getting a sense for the set What's good, what's skippable?
-
I'm not sure it gives up much, the stats on the snipe build looks like they are marginally better, although it doesn't take Titan Sweep, I took Titan Sweep on the way to 22, which is where my character is at today, and I think that extra attack really helps at lower levels/examplar. and before you can slot for bonuses. I wonder if there is a way to get Titan Sweep early in a no-snipe build. With +54% accuracy, is the Kismet +6% toHit worth it?
