  1. It is a toggle, so not great for tri or bi forms. Where did you see that it wasn't? If you are willing to deal with toggles it is great to stack with gravitic emanation, the cone stun you mention, which will allow you to stun boss level critters. You won't be stunning an AV with the two though, so don't get too excited.
  2. On homecoming at least, Stalkers can go Rad/Fire which might as well be stalker SS/Fire, no damage auras but you get burn and something akin to foot stomp and they both can crit. Only 75% Res cap, but you get a goodly amount of healing. Also missing fiery embrace though if I recall, which pumped up the damage on burn a lot. I was also interested in rad, but it lost the +rech power which was a big part of it's draw to me so I'll stick with scrappers on that I think.
  3. I'm curious about this as well, but from the point of view of what is the ideal attack chain for it? Essentially want to know if I would need to go /sr or /elec to get enough recharge for its top chain or I can pick something else for a different flavor without dps loss. I have 0 experience with StJ from live.
  4. I think you accidentally put purple in the con pile instead of the pro pile >(
  5. That's some really good info, and something I haven't seen elsewhere. +1 to you! If I can give some general other advice about IOs since you are new to them, don't get locked into thinking you need the full set. It's all about getting the bonuses you want while still enhancing the powers adequately. The bonuses you want for both flavors of Kheld start with recharge, because both Khelds can make their t9 damage resist power permanent with enough recharge, unlike any other AT in the game. What this can mean in practice is that instead of doing the full Essence Transfer set in a power (though you might want to for the defense bonus), you may decide it's better to split the set and do 3 in one power and 3 in another, netting you a total of 20% +recharge. If you split them in a smart fashion too, you can adequately slot certain powers with just the 3 superior versions and nothing else, or maybe on other slot, which saves you more slots to put elsewhere and gain even more set bonuses. Secondly, you may have seen it and you may not have, but there is a rule of 5, where if you have more than 5 of the exact same set bonus it won't actually apply to your build. What this means is if you have 6 different sets slotted that all give you +7.5% recharge, you will only get +37.5% recharge out of all of them (5x7.5). Special IO's that give bonuses just by themselves (like the Luck of the Gambler +7.5% recharge) follow this rule too, but only check against themselves. So you can actually get 5 sets with 7.5% and five Luck of the Gambler +rech's and end up with 10 x 7.5% recharge that all work. If you use Mids hero planner or Pines, you can click the view set bonuses button to check if you've gotten too many of a particular bonus. And just a heads up for everyone reading this, don't put the global heal in the pets. I tried it to see if it might make the ws pets heal themselves, and it neither heals the pets nor you if slotted there. Bummer.
  6. Oh you can make it much cheaper. We were making perma eclipse builds before purples and pvp IOs. You can't necessearily do softcap and that, but perma eclipse for sure. You end up chasing things like posis blast and stupefy etc.
  7. Bi-form khelds The term human form represents a playstyle where one only uses the human and never shifts to another form. At least thats what it meant back in the day. A biformer likewise used two of the forms exclusively and a triform used all three. I see no benefit to calling someone who takes a form as a set mule only the same thing as someone who actually uses two forms. Their playstyles will be different, their build goals will be different, and he advice I'd give to someone claiming to be biform is quite different from what I'd give to someone only using human.
  8. As I said before I don't have any bio experience to speak from, but I can give input on 3 things. First, I would just remove that 3d recharge from Hasten and put it somewhere else, because while it technically gets you perma, it's only gaining you a very small amount off that recharge time at that point. Second, unless you're pvping, I would much rather put the winter's gift slow resist io in super jump than that stealth one. Hide is strong enough on the stealth front for pve. And third, you're at 42% defense with guarded spin, which means you're probably always using guarded spin in your chain. If that's the case I'd consider the -res pvp io there instead of knockdown.
  9. A mule is a power taken purely for the io sets you can put into it and not for any use of it's own. It's pretty common for human khelds to use the forms like this because you get several mule powers for the cost of one.
  10. On my phone so don't have a build for you, but you can achieve perma eclipse with a good buffer, not just nearly perma. If you get perma hasten you've probably got perma eclipse too. And all that recharge just helps the pets as you say.
  11. It simply doesn't affect foes while you are hidden. It still costs enduarabce though. It is a worthwhile extra bit of survival, but can be skipped if you really need to.
  12. I've noticed if an attack animation is still going on when you hit the detoggle it will sometimes not work, especially if you immediately queue another power. Other than that and maybe server lag, I don't know what to tell you.
  13. Just catching up on this thread, but some of the suggestions are reminding me of my great fear of players taking over the game and "rebalancing" everything into oblivion. I wish rage worked exactly as it did on live. If it cant, something like the -health or a -tohit ( would affect those temp power workarounds, but also hurt your knockdowns during the crash) or literally anything that doesn't change the way the power works in general are my vote. People also need to remember the devs mantra on live that powersets were balanced against SOs, not super IO builds. You start making power changes based on your uber expensive live build and you will ruin this game for everyone. My two cents, but complete overhauls of sets or powers just should not happen. We finally got the game back, don't ruin someone else's favorite character they've waited 7 years to play again.
  14. That was a contentious question back in the day. There's always been the consistency of the PB balanced against the rollercoaster style of the ws, but if you accept that balance (which I do), there are still a couple of discrepancies. Pbs have too much kb, plain and simple, which means you spend more time chasing targets than ws's, but pbs also have better attack chains in human form so you can argue it balances there. The big difference that you cannot overcome though is the pets. The ws pet is flat out superior to the PB one, and really to any non-mm pet in the game. No amount of force feedback proc firing is going to make up for an IOd ws running around with three pets wreaking havok. When arbiter hawk updated khelds this was really the only thing he missed balancing (besides kb, but there were always avid supporters if it) on an otherwise awesome job of improvements to the at.
  15. Shows up in your secondary powerset, along with the dwarf attacks now.
  16. I still can't find it. Where does it show up in the Powers tab of my tray? You'll have to drag it down from the powers window onto your tray. At least I had to. Didn't show up in the tray automatically.
  17. Gravitic emanation first is a great option. I've got the kb to kd io in mine which makes it waaaay better. Honestly though it's just early on for you and you don't have IOs. Khelds can be late bloomers and benefit more from IOs than any other class, partially because of how their tier9s work and partially because they technically get several more slots than anyone else. Itll get better. For now consider taking some purple insps with you if you aren't using break frees.
  18. I think the scrapper version is a port of the stalker version trading hide for a damage aura. The stalker version on So's was ok but not the toughest. On IOs it was a monster. It has very layered damage mitigation and an excellent t9 in icy bastion. It has end recovery and some small sapping potential too. My favorite armor set for sure on live. The only time I would have skipped over it for an IO build would be to get elec for the +rech if I needed for the primary I was using.
  19. You can get higher dps if you go the perma haste route, unless you gimp something to get there. The reason is you can cycle your stronger dpa attacks instead of filling with weaker ones, and buildup will be so more often. I don't know much about bio, but what I did with my staff ice way back when was get it to the softcap then chase recharge bonuses. Lotgs, purple sets and atos are the quickest way to wrack up recharge, but they are very expensive. You can go with cheaper sets and maybe still get there, but it will be harder.
  20. Actually db was very strong with a large io investment, but what you might have been feeling was the smash/lethal resistance of mobs that got higher at the upper levels. If that's the case, you should probably go with dm or psi or something.
  21. There are two enhancements, one is unique (in the universal damage category), and the other isn't (set is called sudden acceleration). They only affect the powers they are in. Luckily since the new one is not unique, you can slot it anywhere. However, I do think there is too much kb (especially for pb's), and you shouldn't have to use up a slot on almost every attack just so you don't have to chase enemies down during your single target chain at least. There is a thread somewhere in the suggestions area about it if you'd like to add your vote.
  22. Light form has stun protection last I checked. They don't get confuse, fear, kb, end drain, or slow protections. Tactics helps with the confuse and fear, and kb IOs are easy enough to find. However you aren't going to touch a triform ws on damage, mostly just because of their pets, so I would get that out of your mind before you're disappointed. Pbs do have better a better single target chain though and are more consistent overall.
  23. You can add a gototray 4 (or whatever number it is in your case) to your form shift bind if that's what you mean. So for example /bind n "powexectoggleon bright nova$$gototray 4" and /bind h "powexectoggleoff bright nova$$powexectoggleoff white dwarf$$gototray 1"
  24. Ice armor was faaaantastic with an io build on a stalker. I think last I looked the brute ice armor is the same except it gets a damage aura instead of hide. If it's the tanker version instead I remember that not being as good.
