I don't see any info in the patch notes regarding stats on the spectres: Spectral Forces: Activating this power has a chance to summon a Specter to your side! Specters slowly fade away over 90 seconds, even faster when attacking. They cannot be healed, regenerate, upgraded, or commanded, but provide a good distraction. Enhancements in this power will also enhance the stats of summoned Specters. You may only have 1 Specter active per Necromancy attack. So how do enhancements in your attacks affect the summoned spectres, should we be slotting full sets to maximise them? And is it worth taking all of the attacks including dark blast which i've always previously skipped. Anyone got any ideas? I'd assume if you fired off dark blast-gloom-life drain you'd have the possibility of 3 extra pets out but are they significantly putting out enough damage to be worth all the slots and the extra power picks, some of the secondaries use enough slots as it is and with the new upgrades i'm already looking for extra slots for enchant undead and dark empowerment.

I like the new attack system on the mm's i try to keep aimed shot at least on ninjas, if you open out the pet window you can see it being applied. Swap out ss for sj. If you open up the build abobe you'll see i just tossed in @Auroxis fender emp build on top of my ninja/time for slotting. You can dump sorcery, right now i just like it for fly and a mule for res io's and swap in whatever you want. If theres things you don't like just take them out the build and put in the powers you enjoy using and slot for massive amounts of recharge. I find empathy to be one of the most expensive sets to build for. Even with no winter bits finding ways to get your recharge high enough for it to be effective means splashing out on a lot of panaceas/lotg/red fortunes (even the cost of those is high as farmers drop bucketloads of them but then tend to convert them to reactives/lotg) . The rag and apoc sets are pretty much there for the recharge bonuses but if you dump the attacks you can find ways to replace them.

Almost makes sense with whips because we don't yet have a whip set but still. Demons are a really good pet set.
-
Saw a petless mm on an underground a few days ago. Don't know how effective they were it seems a bit of a pointless exercise to skip your tier 1 set. They did have pistols/dual wield/empty clips so at least they had something. Kind of like a dp/ corr. But not as good.

Ninjas are awesome. Empathy sucks (when your playing it, not when your on the receiving end) Show us your build, what do you want? Which powers do you like? What travel do you use? I have a single empath. Its 50 and i've had it for about a year and played it twice so i dunno if i can help emp side. Ninjas i just started playing again they are no. 1 melee dps pet toons now and eat av's for breakfast faster than anything else.

Every stormy i have takes a tier 4 ageless and i pretty much build them knowing thats what i will make at incarnate levels. I want as many pseudopets out as i can get as often as possible. Prior to that i am totally reliant on recovery serums from P2W and blue insps. I take ageless knowing i won't be force picked into cardiac. If i took cardiac i'd have more destiny options but i'd lose recharge and damage.
-
I'd normally recommend vigor for acc/end/heal on thermals but i've never played it on a fender and with no build to look at i wouldn't know if endurance is an issue. As i like to take clarion on support toons ageless is out so i look for other ways to help with the end heavy blue bar draining powers and i know that fire is one of those. Musculature radial does have some end mod but its such a small amount i don't notice it. Other than that its definitely one of my goto alpha's for about 80% of my alts.
-
Thanks for all the help in game and for all the reply's here on forums. Settled on these changes:
-
Musculature radial enhances - to hit debuffs so i don't see it helping out tactics/aim/forge unless i'm missing something.
-
I can show you my current build but have low expectations. Its near 0 damage, hasn't been respecced for page 5 and was built on a theme. That theme was to use Jack as my main source of dps/tank and its laughable. On the other hand its tons of fun in teams. I just wander around, toss spirit ward and enflame on Jack and do whatever with the rest of the powers. Youre kind of godly on /dark trollers thanks to fade/soul absorb/twilight/howling/shadowfall. Arctic Air is just icing on the cake so to speak.

Thanks for ingame help and posting but i'm still confused and even more so after putting your build in mids. I get the recovery/end consumption is great and i could chuck in frozen blast and winters bite sets but that drops my recharge by 20% killing my single target attack chain and the aoe and ranged def bonuses wouldn't help. I'd still only get a single 4% extra recovery bonus. I had to take leadership toggles to get tactics and i'm still missing vs +3/4's and especially after the -to hit debuffs start stacking up and kicking in , not running manouvres as it is, veng just a mule for extra recharge but i really need more kb protection.
-
So i made this years back, never really got into it (inspired by @Dechs Kaison Video on old forums The First Rule of DKTF is...: Dark Armor Sucks (dechskaison.blogspot.com)) respecced it in page 5 and i like it but its still got end issues even with cardiac and ageless. Any advice welcome, knowing right now it own't last 5 seconds on a hardmode tf. Old mids replace scorch with fire sword same slotting:

Looking for Budget illusion/Rad Controller Build
Meknomancer replied to radiantskys's topic in Controller
@Area Man if thats the old forums guide you originally did thats the one i meant to post but for some reason i keep getting the 'can't reach that page' when i hit that link. -
From what i hear the farmers saying burn isn't an auto power now or the main source of damage. Instead its your main aoe, in your case frozen aura so i'd assume yes if FA is hitting more than 5 targets which is all you get from burn now.

Issue 28: Page 1 Farming Microguide (Maps + Builds)
Meknomancer replied to America's Angel's topic in Guides
Finally figured out how to check pet combat log and your correct IG isn't auto hitting. I slotted a boosted lady grey def debuff and the proc and the first hit was lowering enemy def to the point where every other pet roll was a hit which is why i assumed incorrectly that it was never missing. Different story when tot'ing and 2 crones and 2 vamps debuffed my to hit down to 0 and all i see is misses. -
@Drgnfligrl if your just after more aoe you can sacrifice some def, i chucked out the fighting pool because leadership gets you 2 lotg 7.5% and you could swap out vengeance for assault and toss in breath of fire+combustion. Flares can now be replaced by incinerate and a better set (mako's bite). Only gets 40% ranged though:
-
Thanks i'll give those a go, i've been running 51109 on the atta map which has the roaming mobs still and seems to be page 5 good but i always like to try new stuff.
-
I'm still running rad/fire/mu with almost no changes since page 4+5 and still using the atta cave map just hiding round corners a bit more when i afk so wandering mobs don't ranged blast me but i stopped using @Briggs maps hoping he'll get around to updating them eventually. Not sure an office map could squeeze in even 1/5 of the number of mobs let alone roaming ones and you'd probably have to hop up elevators 😛

Originally ran agility on my /cold mm's for the recharge and def and end mod, wanted to get sleet/benumb/heatloss perma if i could and thought sleet would bump pet damage sufficiently that i could get away with skipping musculature. Page 5 meant a lot of respecs to find slots for the new tier 1+2 upgrades and serum/smoke flash/maintenance drone so i tend to dump the fighting pool (pets are tougher now) and although they are doing more damage i still recommend musculature for all mm's. Except possibly /dark /traps or maybe /cold. Intuition radial is still my favourite. If you can get enough recharge in the build for frostwork on all pets then pretty much any alpha should work as sleet is so powerful.

Looking for Budget illusion/Rad Controller Build
Meknomancer replied to radiantskys's topic in Controller
Took a while but i found what was pretty much my old live build. Very end heavy, had to take ageless, perma mez protection and everything that matters. I prefer intuition radial for pet damage, debuffs and the range and slow it offers which helps out lingering rad. And still squeezes in just over 10 points kb which i find essential even on ranged toons. Haven't played it in over a year but i doubt page 5 QoL changes will make much of a difference if i ever get round to a respec: -

Local Man as he was known on live put a lot of effort into ill/rad guides you can check this out: City of Heroes Illusion/Radiation Controller Guide | GuideScroll -
Equip/tactical/serum/damping bub all got 3 slots for res+def uniques/3 lotg. Kept burst and M30 , i just like burst animation and it slots achilles, M30 gets an ff+rech. Still have force bolt but its only got 3 thunderstrikes and a sudden acc kb/kd. I kept repulsion field. Currently a couple end red but i'm considering 1 end red and a sudden acc kb/kd. Its basically force bubble now and mercs are all ranged and have 0 reason to get into melee and repulsion is the fastest way to get rid of anything that gets close. Aoe def + s/l res on mercs is easy to hit massive numbers. Ranged is lower and melee def is very low. Mercs/Bubs was one of my fav's prior to changes the increased def+res and proper use of serum just makes it even better. Still not as good as bots though. Just feels like more fun when playing it.
