And domi secondary's really help out if you went /dark /energy /earth the power boost type power in secondary makes a huge difference.

Illusion on domi's has way more control than on a controller. Mag 4 immob over spectral wounds and gleam instead of group invis (which is an insta skip every time for me). I love having superior invis it lets you get ahead of the team and dominations confuse on hard target av's is far better than the controller version. Currently giving /energy a try instead of trying to prevent the kb's i am slotting ff+rech in anywhere they can go and tossing an explosive strike into Phanty. Recharge is now at silly high levels so much so that domination isn't keeping up with the endurance and causing issues. i ended up having to take conserve power which i didn't mind as i wanted energy torrent anyway but i think it will force me into ageless. It can't be played as a control type AT but i found that was almost the case with /thorny too. Instead i just play it as an energyx2 blapper its tons of fun.

I tried proccing out caltrops/acid mortar/poison trap and the latter 2 both recharge in roughly 33 seconds and proc maybe half the time. Caltrops i don't even notice and i ended up using it as a mule for a full frozen blast set and just tossing them out whenever and wherever as they recharge so fast. The extra damage the pets do now more than makes up for the puny proc numbers caltrops may have been putting out before. I still toss the overwhelming in mercs tier 3 he has way too many kb's and now bots do kd i can save it for (possibly photon nade) wherever depending on what secondary i'm running.

Slots are so tight on domi's i'm considering just 4-5 slotting PA with 4 expedite and a soulbound proc/boosted rech io. They are a great source of damage but without troller version of taunt i feel the need to build in more defence even if it means they aren't perma anymore and its hard enough to get enough def+rech on domi' as it is without sacrificing attacks/primary controls. Tried it with 4 boosted expedite the acc/dmg and all the rech bits and its not perma and i notice the massive damage drop off, seems like 6 slotting is the only way to go. Proc wise i don't see explosive strike doing anything which only leaves the soulbound and overwhelming and i dont think they need the kb/kd in. Not sure if having 2 soulbound in for the regen bonus is making any difference whatsoever on domi's with no heal and no hp to start with so it looks like 4 expedite and a soulbound proc and a boosted rech io is the way to go as @WitchofDread recommended.

@FrosticusI wasn't running against low level enemies, everything i've tried it against (moonfire/leviathan/ToT mobs) have been even level to+3. The 0.67 hurl from PA doesn't seem like it warrants an overwhelming in and i really don't want to remove it from Phanty as its essential there to stop energy torrent's massive knock. I did not consider Phanty's decoy as the source of the problem but its possible he's not being affected by the overwhelming. @WitchofDread are you getting perma PA that way ( i assume you are) and is the damage enough without the soulbound proc? @QuiJon i have to agree no aoe immob means the set is basically chaotic which some will find a lot of fun and others will find very annoying. But its not terrible, with spectral terror and flash you can keep the mob tight and i run with Thorny so i can toss out thorntrops too to keep stuff slowed down in a tight area. But i play it entirely at range. Page 5 QoL fix didn't do anything to help my powerpicks i still took the tier 1 from secondary with no slots and removed it from tray as it was either that or a melee attack which i had no slots for either. I am thinking of trying it with either dark or fire on another server but neither of those will help controlling the mobs, i'm not sure what the best secondary would be. Possibly just remove all kb/kd and go for energy and play like a madman, as 1 player said to me last night, if the mobs on its arse you aren't getting hit.

I have been running 4 expedite and 2 soulbound including the bu but the kb is getting annoying but so is my secondary, turns out thorns has a kb in it too. If i drop the soulbound dmg/rech for an overwhelming kb/kd it won't be perma anymore. Might just have to wait for mids update or hope the ff+rech in my st attack goes off often enough. So if @SeraphimKensai is correct can you get away with 0 accuracy slotted? The slotting sounds good but i'd be giving up the expedites recharge bonus. I have been playing it a lot and keeping an eye on the soulbound proc firing off so i will definitely keep that the damage is quite impressive but i didnt notice if they were being affected by my alpha yet although its only the tier 1 intuition so far, it would be nice if the damage component kicks in at tier 3.

So how are people slotting this, it sems as if they are kb'ing mobs all over but if you toss in the overwhelming you lose out on either a) recharge or b) soulbounds proc. Or are they unaffected by SB proc? And will the overwhelming prevent the kb?

Never played the troller version but i have an ice/dark and fire/kin if i toss those together i get....a no dps build just like you wanted. Roughly using your power picks. New Arctic Air is too good to pass up and the ability to have everything knocked down with ice slick is quite appealing. Especially if you toss in repel and don't have to worry about hitting perma hasten you have a few more options (repel should be giving you more than enough recharge with an ff+rech in). I'd want ranged defence too. Its just an idea but i'd wait and see a build played by someone who actually has one:

50-100 mill? hmmm. No idea what costs what it usually depends when you make it. Page 5 domi and mm sets are going sky high so a controller maybe cheaper. No purples no AT sets but i can't see it coming in under 100 mill. 50 mill. No way. Aiming for perma hasten and AM and Phantom Army. Maybe you could swap preventetive for 5 doctored wounds and toss the free slot in elswhere. Juts crapes 32.5% ranged but you could easily swap in mace/ice if you prefer s/l defence i'm sure. With some shuffled slots. -
Quick look over it. Any attack with only a single slotted enhance is pretty much a wasted power pick, So fire blast, take all the slots out of flares (and remove it from your tray) and toss those into the better attack. Drop combustion, no slots for it and if you can't even get an accuracy in theres no point ot it. And you need to be in melee when you've clearly built for ranged defense. You don't quite have 45% which is usually what you should aim for unless you plan on an alpha like agility to bump you the last 2% or a perma tier 4 barrier. Blazing Bolt must have the 5th slot of the manticore set in - you want that 7.5% recharge bonus. You used def/end/rech and res/end/rech bits instead of just tossing in an def/end or res/end in weave and tough. Don't waste the inf on a purple in boxing. On a low hp toon like a domi the regen tissue in health isn't really worth slotting. More hp=better regen but you should be chasing damage and recharge instead. Maneuvers and assault costs a ton of endurance. You have an acc/rech in stamina thats doing nothing for you instead of the end mod piece. A lot of players will tell you to take ice over fire as the epic but i also quite like fire and often respec back into it. Seems like i lost my old build all i can find is my mind/fire/ice ones. Dominate slotting- its one of your best sources of damage and if you check other posts you'll see most toss in 4-6 damage procs. You could do this and give up a samll amount of recharge and ranged def. Using roughly the same pieces/powers/sets you chose maybe something like this (if you boost all your defence pieces you should be about 45%) Slots-enhancements-set all relative levels to +5:

I play most of the servers and if your forming up for weekly's/tf's/non-event teams then every server outside of excel will usually have to spam lfg for 30 minutes to get 4-5 people (i play euro hours, i know it gets really busy after i log so everlasting/reunion/torch/maybe indom may be able to fill teams faster but during the day when i'm on every server except excel is pretty much empty and i'll often see the lone player spamming lfg on a newly made toon get 0 response for an hour til they give up). Obvious answer is just to move with the population, play on excel til the other servers pick up. As to the ToT....its my favourite event and i could happily enjoy it all year round. But you will see the strangest stuff from other players. I didn't really notice it the past couple of years but this year seems to be different. Players making multiple teams of all masterminds and leaving pets on aggressive at PI motel, never clicking a single door- just waiting on active ToT leagues to do so then using fold space to pull those mobs to themselves. But my favourite so far is the level 1 toon that zoned into PI. Several low level toons were spamming broadcast for space in a league (which was full). The level 1 toon then demanded a 50 leave the league so it could join. When that didnt happen the player demanded several of the level 50's leave the league and form a new league and invite all the lowbies. You can imagine what everyone was thinking. What i don't understand is why anyone would make a new toon and instantly zone into somewhere like PI/GV where they are unable to do anything. No low level toon on a ToT league in PI is running about clicking doors spawning level 54 eb mobs and thinking they are gonna survive 5 seconds unless they hop back onto the afk incarnate buff/healers. A single mob will throw all their attacks at the person who clicks the door. And what can you do with the lowbie. You can't hit anything. You can't do any damage. Why not ToT in level appropriate zones. As long as the events run players will be looking to get levelled up by others its just that simple and its always been that way. Now that fire farms arent what they used to be theres way less farmers willing to take doorsitters. It isnt just the fact that they have to share the purple and pvp drops with sitters its much harder to go afk and even actively its slower/less inf. So get used to seeing all those who like to make hundreds of new alts and then have someone else level them while they afk jump on every event team going as long as they can.

Merc/bubs empty slots in equip and upgrade and serum for res uniques and reactive bits and whatever. 3 lotg in the clicky bubble. Kept repulsion to keep stuff away seeing as they're all ranged.

I ran this on beta and just respecced into it on live it was murdering stuff on +4/8 as fast as any blaster/corr/brute. 2 titanium in equip and serum. 2 reactive in upgrade. I had to drop m30 nade but its easily put back in if i drop gale. Which i won't 😛 Spamming it just kept stuff down. Need to swap out the ff+rech in lightning storm for a sudden acc its the only thing doing kb now.

Theres going to be a lot of changes in the build. But its just guesswork right now til mids updates. I'll be dropping infrigidate right away and trying to find slots for the tier 1+2 upgrades. So far the fighting pool has been the first thing to go on most of my respecced mm's and the few that had medicine dumped that as well. Got a necro/cold, demons/cold, mercs/cold to do as well. Just respecced the necro so i'll see how that goes before i try the bots. I've been running them with agility originally for the recharge on sleet/heat loss and benumb but i'm trying to switch into musculature which is causing problems with my def numbers and recharge but being able to take the upgrades earlier and the pets sooner more than makes up for it.

I have a feeling page 5 is keeping everyone busy with respecs and new alts and ToT is still going strong. At level 8 i wouldn't have even bothered putting any slots in my secondary. As to the heal- no heal at that level will keep a full team going not even kins or darks. Elec affinity while being pretty good once you have a load of recharge in your build doesn't have it at that level and i don't class it as one of the mm's top tier secondaries after running it to 50 with bots/demons/necro. Level up a bit. Slot the pets with the AT set, 2 pieces of mark of supremacy in each pet and 4 bits of command of the mastermind in one and suddenly you'll see that recharge hit the point where you can spam heal them indefinitely (not a necessary slotting at 50 when you have other sets in its just while your levelling). You've made an mm. Slot the bots. Use those. Tank. Send them in first, heal them when they get hit. They'll get hit again and probably die. Resummon. By then the rest of the team will have wiped the mob. Get used to resummoning. Protector bots will be a source of dps with the new changes. Once you have maintenance drone you'll notice it'll heal pets faster than you can and before the PB's do. So they'll be using their attacks a lot more. Don't focus over much on your secondary at this level. On live mm's were pretty much the tanks for redside (as well as being dps/buffs and debuffers) Page 5 changes just make them even better but your not going to see this at lvl 8 anymore than on any other AT. When i'm running low level with mm's i make a new tray 4 by 3 and toss all the pet summons and the equip and upgrade in. I use 3 macro's at the top to 1-2-3 click summon (you can key bind but if you're like me and have hundreds of alts its too easy to forget what buttons do what). When a pet drops i just have a 1 click macro: /macro BD "powexec_location self Battle Drones" /macro PB "powexec_location self Protector Bots" /macro AB "powexec_location self Assault Bot" Whichever pet faceplants i can just click the macro without having to really look at whats going on and at your level pets will be dying a lot if your playing the tank and taking the alpha hit unitl your levelled up enough to fully slot secondary as well. Forget about healing for now.

Really wish i hadn't tested my merc's mm on beta 😛 It's painful going back on live servers after strolling +4/8 without having to heal myself/pets and not having to resummon/run away and being able to slaughter mobs at the equivalent level of my brutes/blasters/corrs. Bring the changes in now....please. -

I also currently slot soul extract with bits and pieces of acc/dmg/rech sets but the new version being tested on beta is a 1 click summon spectres which i assume people will want to slot with as much recharge as possible and then some acc/dmg. My point was that if the tier 1 and 2 pet upgrades took pet/rech intensive pet sets then those pet sets like nin/merc/bots would then have somewhere to slot them that thugs/demons/necro already have access too allowing the pets themselves to be better slotted. Right now most builds try to fit in all 6 uniques but that means heavy sacrifices. If you look at tier 2 bots on builds you'll see them ending up as the mule pet with all 6 thrown in. 0 acc/dmg/end red. Not all builds obviously but the fact that some players slot this way is because there's really nowhere else to slot those pieces. If the tier 1+2 pet upgrades are being looked at as somewhere to bump def+resists why not go all the way and use them for pet/rech pet/heal sets too. This would allow a far greater flexibility in builds that don't have gang war/hell on earth/soul extraction while not simply bumping 3-4 pet sets and giving the other 2 nothing extra.

Not sure where to post this. Are all the mastermind pet sets being looked at for the tier 1+2 upgrades. Or is it just necro/nin/mercs that will be able to slot def/res sets in them? I feel like they should all have that ability along with the option to slot pet sets/recharge intensive pet sets/heal sets in those powers too. I see a lot of builds on forums currently using hell on earth/gang war/soul extraction simply as mules for the 6 unique pieces. Being able to slot those in equip and upgrade pets would give a lot more options to all mastermind sets instantly instead of struggling to find places for them in the tier 1+2+3 pets which are going to need more acc/dmg/end red (especially end red) for harder content.

I was running nin/dark/mace. As i said just a quick play with them on what i thought would be an easy +2 council radio. Mobs set to 53. Boss in mob 1 used missile/grenade launcher which kb'd the pets. 2 splat landed within aggro range of 2 other mobs in the room so i was getting hit by 3 mobs at the same time. Both of those died instantly and the rest of the fight was just a constant summon fest. I usually play aggressively and try to aggro the room anyway i just prefer to do it in my own time and not thanks to enemy knockbacks. There are a lot of combos that can handle +4 on live that will have an easier time of it if the changes go through. I run a bots/trick arrow that can and i expect that to be even better. Tier 1 pets struggle vs +5's as is. On a +4 rep they are facing +6's and the damage output is just a constant stream of 1 tic which takes forever to down a mob. -

Tried ninjas/necro/mercs. Mercs changes bump them to no.1. By a mile (although they've always been no. 1 in my book). Ran through +2/8 it was a murderfest i've never seen anything go through mobs that fast short of nuking toon. Made no changes to a live build and i can only assume it would be even better with def+res bits thrown in the upgrades. -

Quick play with them, only set to +2/8 with no build changes from live. Seems awesome at least til the mobs set to 53's and there were 2-3 of them close by. At that point i lost pets regularly as i'd expect to. Any knockback is pretty much instant death for the pets which the ranged ones dont have to put up with in the same way, just get back up and pew pew, ninjas have to leggit back at the mobs and usually get a face full of whatever the enemies throwing and faceplant before they get back into melee. The changes are fantastic- to all the mm pets getting upgraded, way more survivable and i can see them actually feeling useful on teams, even the fast moving ones. Haven't tested vs 54's. Not sure i will. The tier 1 pets were struggling vs +5's as it was. -
As to damage numbers- i don't do math. And even if i did whatever you come up with isn't what you get in game, its old and odd and thats why we love it.

I take the t2 because i love scream animation with shout and screech, thats my st rotation. What else i take depends on the secondary but sirens song is now the biggest aoe hitter so shockwave-howl-sirens make up a nice rotation but they are all cones. DPS wise its not going to match fire/ice/elec. It may still be down there at the bottom despite the smoother/faster animations and sirens damage increase.
