My bad, new mids is killing my eyes i can barely read the numbers in the info box. Still enough to get frostwork up on 6-7 team members perma 🙂
-
That looks great, i love your def numbers and resists. I only see 1 problem and thats your single target attack chain which seems non existent. I can see hardmode teams that will love having you along everything else seems to benefit the team greatly. Looks like more than enough recharge to keep frostwork on everyone perma.
-
And the biggest problem with sonic blast and i expect dark blast when i get around to giving it a try, cones. Your trying to stay tight for the buffs but constantly repositioning for the cones which is a pian with the new aggro mechanic, more so on aeon with so many flyers but also on mish 3 of the itf when mobs start coming down the hill. With an ice,fire,elec/cold corr you've got easy aoe's to fire off, scourge kicks in very quickly as everyones running their maxed toons so those sonic debuffs seem a bit of a waste.
-
Frostworks buff is single target which makes it a pain to keep applied on each member of the team, especially pugs when you turn around and someones in another room. Hardmode teams you expect everyone to be huddled together in a small group and when they do that theres always a powerset that i look at and think 'thats doing more for the team than frostwork' , nature or elec affinity buffs for example. Maybe i'm just lazy but i see it as hardwork. Sonic debuffs? thats easy- dps. A fire or ice cold corr will drop mobs so fast and even after the last update to sonic it still feels weak and slow in comparison. Dead stuff doesnt need debuffing and the hard stuff is already debuffed by sleet and benumb, the slow stacking of sonic blast debuffs feels mediocre. I wasn't running tactics/snowstorm/frostwork/screech. Its for hardmode so relentless aeon, starred itf's, not for exempting down. The miracle was initially put in because i was wondering what the odds were that heatloss might miss and i'd be waiting 90+ seconds for it to recharge. The numina because i take hits on every team regardless of how good they are, nobody running hardmode content doesnt get hit and i thought i'd need a little extra regen to buy time for someone to hit me with a heal or for me to jump in front of the nature toon. Heatloss is 1 of those odd powers like irradiated ground. They both say they need accuracy slotted but i've never seen either one miss and i started playing an ice/cold the day /cold came in on live so thats a lot of playtime and no misses....but its hardmode so i thought better safe than sorry. After a few runs i'm thinking snowstorm is pretty situational and can probably be dumped for assault, theres a ton of taunting in aeon and a small amount in the itf now which forces target switching at the worst times. I'd like some more e/ne res which is why i was looking at a lotg/4 SW pieces in maneuvers and trying to get the ranged def elsewhere and find an extra slot for powerboost as i use that every time its up to hop into the mob and nuke/heatlosss. Having said that i'm considering just switching over to the ice or fire/cold corr and just being a dps first and buffer second. Takes a certain mindset to play nature/cold/elec affinity/empathy/pain/kin etc on hardmode runs and i'm getting a bit old to be concentrating that much on what everyone else is doing. Still appreciate any advice that would make the toon more survivable as its the closest thing i have to a badge toon 🙂 I find i'm dying at least twice/hardmode run and that takes some getting used too after wandering about like an untouchable god on every other piece of content.

Trying to make it a better buffer but after a pug relentless aeon i'm not convinced about frostwork or even sonics debuffs. Pretty sure a fire/cold or an ice/cold corr would of done as good if not better. Snowstorm comes in handy for dropping smelter bosses to the floor but its more useful on the itf eb's. Sacrificed a lot of the powers i really like on this to get the extra buff in, lost soul drain/soul storm/shockwave/sirens song. Can it be better, do i really need the 3 slots in health/procs in howl/red fortune set in maneuvres. Lost my procced out infirgidate, sad times.Sleet feels like its badly slotted after i lost the achilles and annihilation procs and benumb actually missed right after i hit build up on the Midas which was mildly annoying 😛 This is still the only way i can post mids apparently so wall of txt time. ITF 4 STAR -- OVER 100 Deaths, the dark side of 4 Star ITF.
Meknomancer replied to Voltak's topic in General Discussion
Can't tell you how much i loved this post. Reminded me of my first relentless aeon and the 20+ deaths on my (what i thought was near unkillable) widow/fort hybrid. Which makes me wonder. Why no aeon vids? It all seems to be itf runs. I loved the fight vs the rwz mob in the tiny enclosed vanguard armoury it was a murderfest and the itf doesn't have anything to compare to it. Only thing that can come close is the last mish on lrsf vs the phalanx. -
Only 1 reason to take soul over dark as an epic and thats powerboost and you skipped it anyway. Darks soul drain is faster recharging and has a larger radius, so unless you really really need to keep the widow pet swap them.
-
Really hard to go wrong with /dark as a secondary on domi's, gets the little heal from life drain which is really useful, only savage has anything like it and i tend to run out of slots for blood craze and chuck in a couple of d syncs and its still got a massive recharge. Dark blasts - to hit won't hurt either, gather shadows is awesome bit like power boost which you'd be used too from your /energy dom, its got a great pbaoe in engulfing with a decent radius and recharge and some heavy hitting single target attacks.
-
Going to assume these are all solo builds having a quick look over the /cold i see you skipped all the team buffs in which case....anything goes for soloing.

Simple answer is no. Only useful on pets that melee and that recharge time means its an easy skip anyway. 1 of those powers that needs to be changed to match fender/corr/troller version. Poison is a rough ride all round on an mm although i have seen some very good players make it work. I'm just not one of them. If you toss it on a bot and run it into melee....well you can guess what happens next since they are created to be purely ranged and the most fragile of mm pets (although theres pet sets try to dispute that by suiciding on a regular basis)
-
Dark/Storm corr, all you need is torrent, no other kd attack has its range it'll keep everything in the mob down, and probably everything in the mob behind it. And gale if anything is missed.

Why does everyone go bonkers over Cold Dom for the HM TFs?
Meknomancer replied to hemij's topic in Corruptor
Its the set as a whole, when it came out on live it instantly jumped to no. 1 buff/debuff set. It brings everything to a team. Only thing its missing is a rez. It buffs with the shields. Keeps blue bars full with heatloss. Frostwork bumps hp and with recharge in the build you can pretty much apply it to the whole team although its a pain to do so. Benumb is -regen. Snowstorm (if you take it, most don't) will stack with sleets slow and bring mobs to a grinding halt and is pretty much the only skippable power. Even infrigidate is useful now the way procs work. -def, -res ,-regen, slows but best of all theres really no toggling required so its a top set for speed running and right now everyones trying to shave time off hardmode runs so they don't have to spend 240 minutes ploughing through 1 mob at a time. All you have to do is apply the buffs hit sleet and heatloss at mobs and do your best to keep frostwork up on whoevers taking the alpha, toss out benumb occasionally on hard targets. Storm does very little to help the team other than dps. TA is rough going and doesnt bring the team any buffs and has a set up time. Sonic is....well its still sonic, annoying graphical efx aside its only got the res buffs going for it and the circle of doom on alpha (if your fast enough to keep up and dont go out of range). Dark is great but it has the set up time too applying darkest night, dropping tar patch, heal is epic when it hits but is your team mate standing next to you when it fires off or have they moved and the animation can be slow. Still 1 of my favourites. -

Don't underestimate heat loss, it'll keep the teams blue bar full permanently which allows the rest to drop ageless for staggered barriers and rebirth. -

Ah that makes sense. Hardmode team's i've been on all asked for Barrier/Rebirth so there wasn't an ageless and i wasn't keeping track of my pb downtime on my cold/sonic thanks to the kins. -

I wasn't questioning the worth of power boost its one of the top powers in game and i'd recommend it to anyone that has the option to take it. How did you get the downtime to 12 seconds? The boost lasts 15 seconds and the recharge with a +5 rech io is 33.71 -

The 49% ranged def is with power boost on the rest of the time its sitting at 38'ish. That almost 20 second downtime on pb. I'm assuming the - to hit debuff from spore cloud takes care of the rest. -

Your right, those whip attacks hurt, why would i expect fire attacks from demons 🙂 Bad assumption to make. As to splitting the apoc set up i hadn't considered that- good idea although it means dropping something to squeeze in another power and losing 10% recharge i doubt that will matter if i stick to spiritual. Seems like every choice is a bad choice, how much recharge are you prepared to sacrifice, will it affect how fast your burn fires off or is it irrelevant on a proper afk farmer? I ended up going back on the rad/fire/mu the kill speed was so much faster it was a joke and reminded me why the spines had been sat afk since year 1. Since the thread isn't purely for afk farmers and sometimes i'm active i'm still finding that the atta cave map is the best for either. I have the accolades for both hp is pretty high, i respecced the rad/fire for a bit more regen and it seems ok when i go afk , having body mastery on the spines doesnt seem to make a huge difference unless i'm standing right out in the open and i don't farm the meteor map anymore i got lazy and the constant zoning every 4-5 min put me off it. Thanks for all the replies, hopefully that afk farm build will get posted eventually that can survive but i'm pretty happy with what i have now and i'll probably end up throwing mu back on the spines if i ever use it again. It did have me wondering though.....since quills slots AT sets and irradiated doesn't- is it easier to get higher regen on a spines over a rad in which case the spines would jump to no. 1 afk farmer? -
I can't believe i didn't notice it before. Your completely correct. Its not following at all. Having to summon it every other mob or every time i go up a lift or through a doorway just like on live.

It's not going to make any difference, with the updated farms if you stand out in the open alone with no helper/lore out every mob that can see you will fire an attack and you'll drop in 15 seconds max regardless of build. City maps/tunnel farm/cave maps where you can pop round a corner are no problem. Meteor map with no helpers is insta death once your in the middle. Pretty sure players are setting up ae stuff with helpers/decoys etc that will prevent you from faceplanting after you zone. Not even sure if barrier would make a difference i haven't tried. I have no intention of checking emails/buying survival temps etc i know i would forget and not keep track of when it runs out. I usually run rad/fire and i still prefer it but you need to be quite active and there's times i'm spamming the heal. So i messed about again with the spiny build, made another from scratch so i'll have to run it through accolades again which meant a few changes that would let it run some content but remain pretty much the same in a farm. Lost 7.5% recharge but picked up perma hasten once spiritual is in. Quills hits more often now it has an acc/dmg piece in and that bumped regen a teeny bit. Hop into the farm click hasten, by the time it drops the decoy map (50968) is clear and its recharged for the next run. Power picks were not in this order it was just me messing about in mids: This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.2.17 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn SPINES FIRE CURRENT FARMER: Level 50 Magic Brute Primary Power Set: Spines Secondary Power Set: Fiery Aura Power Pool: Leadership Power Pool: Speed Power Pool: Fighting Power Pool: Leaping Ancillary Pool: Energy Mastery Villain Profile: ------------ Level 1: Lunge SprBlsCol-Rchg/HoldProc(A), SprBlsCol-Dmg/EndRdx/Acc/Rchg(3), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(3), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(5), SprBlsCol-Dmg/EndRdx(5), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg(7) Level 1: Fire Shield Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(A), Ags-ResDam(7), Ags-ResDam/EndRdx/Rchg(9) Level 2: Spine Burst SprAvl-Rchg/KDProc(A), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(19), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg(21), SprAvl-Dmg/EndRdx(21), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(23), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(23) Level 4: Blazing Aura SprBrtFur-Acc/Dmg(A), SprBrtFur-Dmg/Rchg(25), SprBrtFur-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(25), SprBrtFur-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(27), SprBrtFur-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(27), FuroftheG-ResDeb%(29) Level 6: Maneuvers LucoftheG-Def/Rchg+(A), LucoftheG-Def(29) Level 8: Healing Flames Pnc-Heal/EndRedux/Rchg(A), Pnc-Heal/Rchg(31), Pnc-EndRdx/Rchg(31), Pnc-Heal/EndRedux(31), Pnc-Heal(33) Level 10: Temperature Protection Ags-ResDam(A), Ags-ResDam/Rchg(33), Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(33), StdPrt-ResDam/Def+(34), ImpSki-Status(34) Level 12: Super Speed Empty(A) Level 14: Boxing AbsAmz-Stun(A), AbsAmz-Stun/Rchg(34), AbsAmz-Acc/Stun/Rchg(36), AbsAmz-Acc/Rchg(36), AbsAmz-EndRdx/Stun(36) Level 16: Plasma Shield Ags-ResDam/EndRdx/Rchg(A), Ags-ResDam(37), Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(37) Level 18: Quills ScrDrv-Dam%(A), ScrDrv-Acc/Dmg(37), Obl-%Dam(39), IceMisTrmt-+ColdDmg(39), ImpSwf-Dam%(39), Erd-%Dam(48) Level 20: Assault EndRdx-I(A) Level 22: Combat Jumping LucoftheG-Def/Rchg+(A), Ksm-ToHit+(40) Level 24: Tough GldArm-3defTpProc(A) Level 26: Vengeance LucoftheG-Def/Rchg+(A) Level 28: Burn Arm-Dam%(A), Arm-Dmg/Rchg(40), ScrDrv-Dam%(40), SprUnrFur-Rchg/+Regen/+End(42), Erd-%Dam(42), Obl-%Dam(42) Level 30: Weave LucoftheG-Def/Rchg+(A), LucoftheG-Def(43), LucoftheG-Def/EndRdx(43), LucoftheG-Def/EndRdx/Rchg(43) Level 32: Throw Spines SprFrzBls-Rchg/ImmobProc(A), SprFrzBls-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(45), SprFrzBls-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(45), SprFrzBls-Dmg/EndRdx(45), SprFrzBls-Acc/Dmg(46), SprFrzBls-Dmg/EndRdx/Acc/Rchg(46) Level 35: Superior Conditioning PwrTrns-+Heal(A) Level 38: Rise of the Phoenix Prv-Absorb%(A) Level 41: Focused Accuracy HO:Cyto(A) Level 44: Impale Apc-Dam%(A), Apc-Dmg/EndRdx(46), Apc-Acc/Rchg(47), Apc-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(47), Apc-Dmg/Rchg(47) Level 47: Hasten RechRdx-I(A), RechRdx-I(48) Level 49: Physical Perfection PwrTrns-+Heal(A), RgnTss-Regen+(49) Level 1: Fury Level 1: Brawl Hct-Dam%(A), Hct-Dmg/EndRdx(9), Hct-Acc/Rchg(11), Hct-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(11), Hct-Dmg(13) Level 1: Sprint Empty(A) Level 2: Rest Empty(A) Level 1: Swift Empty(A) Level 1: Hurdle Empty(A) Level 1: Health Pnc-Heal/+End(A), Pnc-Heal(13), Pnc-Heal/EndRedux(15), Pnc-Heal/Rchg(15), Pnc-Heal/EndRedux/Rchg(17), Mrc-Rcvry+(17) Level 1: Stamina PrfShf-End%(A), PwrTrns-+Heal(19) Level 12: Speed Phase Level 50: Spiritual Core Paragon ------------ | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1412;696;1392;HEX;| |78DA65935B4F135110C767BB6705DA72694BB9B6D07229B495A5157DF0C10B429B8| |09460ABCF4D0387B209294D5B8CC42FE135BE7801357E02B9C5F8E493C610BF08E8| |936FA64E77E6581237E9FEBA7366FE73D99DCC8379F7FA7AFA2668AEB9CD42B59AB| |F55D9AE492353285AAB3A000CE456169653B9507A219B0ACDDDCB6653CB7743E9D9| |6C26956DC163AFED9ECFC84D29CD5CD92AC96A1F99E6E5BA2C55A599B66465273FB| |B5D2940E7CAD6D6A6B9240B6BB252DDB0CA4EFB39579672ADDDFE9BB68A1B35AB54| |742B47142CF6A7CAD6AA992AC94A71279F29546B0D3D3B471F1610C6DFD708DE406| |BDCEA063C170049018E67CCA744F184F99878E11171FF5F2CD41D90D0E8F032B175| |86F82DD2F0E10CDA1E457A7789DD2F99AF883DAF996F880718A5730643DFD56D63D| |F1EF32D71E01DF33D317083E8C1291B1CAC197E2A27D04D3C446B0BD0A16819A688| |A121669019208642C423F46E6345D1C68D86924C1E40B81719440689A398C6C599C| |055C70B3434B52B9DF64507C5DD268E2E3133CC65E2317A77B28EA37386C4C7B888| |314E7E82D3F6A881791E021DDE274680DA887418C40F24327DE6B0E9C5B27C1C0CB| |E3005F5A0D1AFA6E8E7294EFC013B42C7C35E15D17B89E4BBD1D8AF1AEEE7884FF8| |34A80A1BBC462D4D5C6572A1510FBDF6281714E582052A0639580FB2628CDF64AC8| |BE923FEC0110CAB0F6EF898142F1E320F98FBC4A98FCC23629B0760443534F29B8C| |9FF1695C2345183FA59A9CE839A93C27AF20840EDF31779C738B7892BA9B4A10CD6| |9A6C99C228E607726CF4B33E3348A69A61BD324D4F8135C50E23ABDB8B4682E603D| |209AAB2C204EDAAD31A233CA9C24BA23C42501EAAA3744F0E35C114A134D9A6D3A7| |536F3B0D7D9FFA69FE74C0684694CEEC6EA4C08E8E055EAE015EBE295EB5AD4ECF3| |5FE782357841D579B9DF2FB1E60AD5EFF8D0A69AFE0B8498C803| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| -

Should of mentioned, i have all the accolades. The luck of the gambler pieces are already boosted. Fire def is over 45%. I have tier 4 ageless so endurance is alway full and if i'm afk it never moves anyway. Superspeed is off when farming unless i have to run to a mob. Preventetive proc is a global so it can be slotted anywhere and still apply. Swapping in the relenting fury costs me 10% recharge. As to the fury of the glad your probably correct i often move it about i have a bunch of unslotters in case i do. -
Why do you say Voltaic is broken? Its a toggle, click it on when you enter mish and forget about it. Better yet have a macro handy /macro VS "powexec_location self Voltaic Sentinel" and just click it whenever you zone. Thats not broken thats a far superior version from live when you had to click and place it every minute.
