And there's no harm to that at all. If anything, we've made a few friends along the way being open and social like this. Isn't that right Cat? 😄 There's no harm in being social on an RP server, in fact, many of us want to see more conversation and chatter, it brings life to the game that it otherwise lacks with the players themselves.

Poll: Do you get Enough Roleplay?
Crystal Dragon replied to GraspingVileTerror's topic in Roleplaying
Not nearly enough. I find gaps of time that I'm online that I've no interaction or roleplaying happening in the wee hours of the east coastal time slots and it usually is my inspiration to log out for rest. However, I'm part of a couple groups of roleplayers at this point and time would not mind branching out into even more if there are open groups looking for roleplayers willing to teach and guide newer folk. -
New Game Dev Awards: The GameHERs
Crystal Dragon replied to GraspingVileTerror's topic in Video Games
I wouldn't even know who to nominate though, women in gaming and nonbinary are kind of hard to pick out from gaming credits sometimes, but content creation and community are important sections to take a closer look at. Skimmed the rules and it does indicate some troubling restrictions on what IP content might be disqualified (I.E. Homecoming would not qualify because it's IP is flux at the moment between hands and in arbitration/court at this time "I think...we would need an admin's say to know for sure") but there are a lot of different categories that any of us could fit into. I'd definitely ask for the HC admin/GM team to discuss it though, cause this DOES look like someone that could be a positive influence on the server as well as the old game title, if HC ever obtains rights or permissions to it. -

issue 27 [Beta] Patch Notes for August 11th, 2021
Crystal Dragon replied to Faultline's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
Ah the love for Cimeroran! Thank you ever so, I'd been wanting to add more specific Cimerorans to an AE mission I'd been working on. 🙂 -

Hosting at 5PM to try a different time slot. Raiders are welcome to drop by to join the discussion sessions, and yes practice will be a thing just on the workshop day. (Thank you for that suggestion Madame Mirage.) 8\13 - We will be revisiting Part 1 of introduction to roleplaying in a new location 8\14 - Reviewing Part 2 in a new location. 8\15 - Reviewing Part 3 in a new location. 8\16 - General conclusion and assistive workshop to practice and answer questions that we didn't during the earlier classes during the weekend. All classes will be held in a different location each evening, and will be announced in-game prior to the meetup time from 4PM until the start. Tells will be answered as quickly as I'm able to get to them, please have some patience if I do not respond immediately, I promise I will get to you as quickly as I can. Any immediate questions or recommendations for base locations to visit are eagerly welcomed in this thread, thank you all. @McSpazz will be leading class this coming weekend, as I had some rescheduled appointments come up and will not be able to make it until later in the evening. -
What's Your Opinion on Edgelords/Edgier Characters?
Crystal Dragon replied to teamtr's topic in Roleplaying
*plops into a comfy chair and settles right in.* Alright, so dark/edgelord styled characters eh? I can't say I have a whole lot to say about them as a character concept, but I can say I've had a lot of experiences with them over the years. Tragic character backgrounds tend to temper a type of attitude and sometimes it goes a bit further than it really has to, just to push the point that HEY this character has a bad ass story, yall should check ME out. *shakes their head and shrugs.* I kind of treat every character the same on introductions, give them a chance to impress, or create an impression of themselves on mine as one would greet others and create a positive or negative impression during that introductory meetup. I knew players of Drizzt Do'rden, Wolverine, Leon S Kennedy, Allucard, the original Brom Stokers version of Dracula to name just a few. The only one out of the bunch that was played over the top, was Leon, and Allucard, but Allucard was generally overplayed when he was "Unleashed" anyway by Hellsing in the series, so it really fit in and made sense of the character concept as a whole. I rather enjoy darker characters, hell, can even say they draw me out like a moth to flame, they just fascinate the hell out of me as a player, but most of my characters tend to be dancing on the edges of dark and hero/sage types, simply cause it fits me, and my many personalities. (And yes I said many. D.I.D. is something I live with, and I allow my alters their freedom to roll what they feel most attuned to which has me *peers at their roster and sighs heavily* at about 20 characters now?) As long as the character doesn't godmode, or break others lore and backstories, I have zero issues with dark and edgelord characters, as long as they play respectful of others character creations and backstories too. -
2nd Anniversary Costume Contest: The Results!
Crystal Dragon replied to GM Kaiju's topic in Events & Contests
The GM's were the judges, the criteria was based on the theme for the contest. You are new around here, aren't you? It would have taken them longer to go through each bio on Everlasting with the contestants AND costume judging, so no. I don't think so. If they were getting paid to GM here, then that might be up for suggestion but it's not. They donate their time to do things like this, the very least you could do is allow them their freedom of choice and participation. -
/e hugs back. I hope it does too.

Therapy day tomorrow, wee.. /e rubs her temples and sighs. I may be unavailable for anything following my appointment tomorrow but I may be found working on AE arcs that I haven't released to publish yet.

The Roleplay-a-Day System
Crystal Dragon replied to FoulVileTerror's topic in Roleplay-a-Day's Discussion (OOC)
It's a all day event, players exploring new areas, storys and roleplaying there. Kinda a dig in and immerse yourself sort of idea, I love it honestly. -
Dropping the name DMCA for some happy little punster to pick up. Oh and hey, if you adopt the name, you gotta make it a pun worthwhile. Suit and all! ❤️

Credits to @Wylde Fyre for this awesome meta-game. So MSR can get boring sometimes, but we here on Everlasting had created something of a meta game out of it, with the banter and conversation that pops up during the raid. So, here's announcing MSR Bingo by Melle Murder Inc, and their fearless leader @Wylde Fyre The game goes like this, every spot has a reference to chatter that happens on a regular basis during the Chaos United MSR runs, and sometimes it becomes a inside joke that often gets referenced for laughs. Well, it's become so random that we use the bingo card reference in character just for sh*ts and giggles. Enjoy Homecoming, this ones on the randoms we get rolling with us out there in the war front!

This is a matter I actually had discussed with my roleplaying guide class tonight. You have every right to say no, reject their tells, and hide yourself from being contacted, your ignore via the chat window is global to their account. If the problem persists, this is why the report feature is built into the game as well. Taking a stance against unwanted, and uninvited attention of that kind is one of the big reasons why I started teaching the newer roleplayers about the rule of consent, because no one should ever feel guilted, or bad for saying no to unwanted advances of any kind.

I had a fantastic time, and I don't care if I won or not. I think Ifrit did an amazing job with their costume and I hope to see more of them around on the shard! Congrats to all the winners, and I'm looking forward to seeing more competitions like this. It was tight, neck to neck even, but I loved it! My entire class that was with me in league thoroughly enjoyed the monster mash too, keep up the great events and fun, HC! We love ya!

/e giggles in amusement, dipping breadsticks into the fondu pot. Crazy day, but slowly unwinding to a calmer one.

The Roleplay-a-Day System
Crystal Dragon replied to FoulVileTerror's topic in Roleplay-a-Day's Discussion (OOC)
Good news, the mentors I spoke with in-game and in discord LOVE the idea. The class session on the 1st of August will be our first Roleplay A Day location session. 🙂 -
No, but I make a mean fondu, want some?

/e blinks and shakes her head. I don't hoard riches, I hoard interesting people, those are the hardest to find and best riches to obtain. /e nods and grins toothily. Don't worry, I'm omnivorous. Plant or meat, I can eat either.
