  1. I absolutely hate Posi 1 for the endless possibilities for a single teammate to screw it up for everyone, whether innocently or deliberately. I've suffered both. That said, it now occurs to me that I might just want to run it at top setting with a team full of very experienced players using their level 50s decked out. (Yes, I know the game sets the level.) The finale fights might just be interesting for once.
  2. One other of A.I. Heat Hitter. The rest of it is okay, but I included it because the shirt logo is so cool. It's the epitome of "hellcat" and I'd love to see it added to game costume options.
  3. Next up my mace/fire brute, baseball-themed "Heat Hitter". I couldn't get the A.I. to understand I wanted wrap sunglasses and a 1920s style uniform, but I did like the creative results. Incidentally, the top corner to viewer's right, I instructed the A.I. starting "Michael Bay explosions style..." 😁
  4. Ah...but which Canada Day? No year was given.
  5. Ugh...now I have Mark Hamil's Joker voice saying that over and over in my head. Wish I'd never done so many bonus rounds in DC Universe Online.
  6. *Checks the name "Earworm"....drat!* Staff does sound good. I would have said MA/SR, which I have in a scrapper. I've often referred to his MA moves as "poetry in motion".
  7. I just happened to have a level 2 just chilling without a single exploration badge, so I ran him through everything until he got Passport, and with it Fast Travel. Eight badges: Regarding the map earlier in the thread. #4 "Patriot" is practically underneath of #6 "Freedom", and as the map is 2D, it doesn't show in position. The map makes reference that it would be under that dark purple icon. Any chance that's why it's perceived as 7?
  8. I'm guessing when they say "8" they're also referring to the AE badge from when the AE building was where the building to Fort Trident is now. As it was the first AE building people encountered, they would have naturally added it into the count, even though it can be acquired at any AE building.
  9. Y'all mentioned holiday missions but none mentioned that big ol' ski resort just outside the window? Look for the wood door with a ski symbol and some snow by it. You can get badges for making good time down the slopes. Beneath the ski lodge is a door to the skating lake, where several memorial avatars reside. The Doctor also hangs out there. Look around closely enough and you'll discover I'm right. Also moderately-well hidden is an entrance into the third section of the game, the gold side, Praetoria. That door leads to Praetoria's nightclub and from there to the streets.
  10. I keep forgetting whether the badge marker is in enter or exit chamber at the tram station in the archived Atlas Park. I feel very stupid running around the entrance area without result, then more stupid when I realize there's no one around to wonder why I'm acting stupidly.
  11. There's also the Joker. It used to be thought Jack Nicholson, who was nominated for both BAFTA and Golden Globe awards (at a time when comic book movies were not considered really award material) couldn't be topped, then Heath Ledger came along. It was widely declared no one else would work in the role, especially with an Oscar for his performance, then Joaquin Phoenix matched the Oscar. Replacing an iconic actor can be done, it just has to be done carefully.
  12. Should have created Zathras. Many Zathras. When confronted say "Many Zathras. This different Zathras."
  13. Next up on my attempts was my little ray of Summer-of-Love sunshine, the mentally-stuck-in-1967 water Sentinel, Aged Of Aquarius. See his in-game version here. I must say, although Bing's image generator never hit every point I was making (it had no idea what to do with "purple shoulder pads"), every image it generated was spiritually right on target. I really liked this attempt. The hard part was culling the results down to just a few. Although I tweaked the description several times, here's the core of it: thin, smiling 76-year-old Caucasian hippy male, scraggly long grey hair, round wire glasses, green and blue tie-die long-sleeve T-shirt with pink and yellow peace symbol on center front, tight blue jeans with bell bottoms and embroidered gold stars, brown sleeveless jacket with high collar, purple short fingerless leather gloves, standing in shallow pool of splashing water, water jets from his raised hands
  14. Awww, man...I was out-of-town most of Saturday. You guys got to post these things in advance so we can arrange our schedule. Pin it like the costume contest thread.
  15. With respect, that may be an individual thing. I took to blasting like a duck to water. In exchange however, I have a harder time with other archetypes like masterminds and titan weapons. While I love melee, I have learned that I'm just not mentally tuned to stalker. Yet I've teamed with some amazing players wielding these skills. In time, each will find their strengths.
  16. We'll know it is Tuesday.
  17. My surname is so rare that should my name ever show up in game I'd consider it practically proof someone in the OG design team was sneaking peeks at private files.

    Which reminds me...
  19. I turned my attention to my MA/SR scrapper Ace Barnstormer, and although I was never able to get the A.I. to completely understand me, it did deliver some cool results, even if it did feel so insecure that it had to supply two sets of goggles to some pilots.
  20. This one feels more like a "wait for Disney+" film. That is, assuming Sony permits Disney+ to lump it with the Marvel category. To be fair, though, it takes a really strong film to get me to the theaters post-COVID outbreak. Dune, part 2 may be the one to do it next.
  21. This looks like some alternate universe cross between The Phantom and The Green Hornet, which I find rather cool. By the way, what is "Art Station Style" that I see a couple of you mentioning?
  22. The tree as "Phantom Cave" is a novel idea, and I might look into adapting it for Rainforest Revenant.🏅
  23. First time dabbling in this technology, and I've got a lot to learn (or it does). I opted to try creating my Rainforest Revenant, an homage character to The Phantom. Apparently, the Bing Image creator doesn't understand the concept of "no", as in "no gloves" "no face mask", etc. and it stubbornly refused to recognize a few parameters I did put in, but I did manage to get two looks that I thought were pretty good. For comparison, here's the in-game version. I do wish the technology advance to where I could highlight an area to bookmark it, as it were, as reference material. Then I could go through the picture, pick the best elements from each, and hopefully generate an image closer to what my goal would be.
  24. ...anymore than the western is going to cease to exist. Folks use to say westerns were dead, little to nothing was made, then the movie Silverado came out. If anything, it simply revealed that the market had previously glutted, watering down the product. Given time and lack of product gave room for westerns to focus on quality work rather than quantity, and the genre became great again.
