After an umpteenth slaying in mere moments of Adamastor the other day, I got wondering if Zone GMs were now too easily defeated with our more seasoned and savvy player base. I saw this with Malta robots that some Power That Be dropped into Talos Island also, though admittedly it took a bit longer. Some of the other Zone GMs as well, like the Council Giant War Walker in Boomtown or Jack and Eochai in Croatoa. It also seems they're not hitting as hard or often. Again, maybe that's just because we've reached a level where collectively we can power through anything current. I enjoy getting a badge and maybe a few merits, but I'd much rather have the satisfaction of a victory powerful, somewhat-longer fight. I'm just wondering if the zone GMs could be ramped up somehow, more frequent and/or powerful attacks and greater durability in some cases, possibly with slightly greater rewards as compensation. Any ideas? Or perhaps everyone is just satisfied with a quick reward for quick fight?

Glow looks great. While I love detail and intricacy, I find in costume design that often "less is more" so long as it is well-coordinated. Is it just the costumes that are new, or also the names? If the names as well, I'm impressed those three were available.

Perhaps an air compressor?

That sound like an observation by The Question. Are you sure Girl Scouts, aglets, and 32 flavors of ice cream weren't involved?

So you made Hamster Huey go Gooey Kablooey?

Excelsior crashed. Anyone know CPR for hamsters?

Getting rid of that bit just made sense. In RL, I don't have to regain energy to rest, so a timer representing that is silly. Beside, when your character is using rest, they're highly vulnerable to fatal attacks, so there's a challenging enough penalty in place.

Suggestions for new players trying to organizing task forces
Techwright replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
Since we're talking new players, in regards to the OP statement of "Task Force Name", I'd suggest adding "blue side", "red side", or "co-op". While technically the villain side uses Strike Forces (SF) there's a common tendency to use "TF" to represent everything, which might be confusing to a new player who doesn't know a Virgil Tarikoss from a Earnesto Hess. -
I suppose it depends on who is making them, and perhaps what breed or crossbreed of grain is used. I've had some that I suspect someone tossed indigo dye into the yellow corn vat, but I've had others that there's a subtle, richer flavor. Because it is subtle, I wouldn't buy any that are priced significantly higher than yellow or white...what would Brits call them...maize tortillas?

Which is why I'm concerned that there are 4 films in the pipeline, apparently all being shot at the same time. Short of a powerful story, can they really hold the audience on just the "auditory and visual experience"? I enjoyed the first film. Story-wise, it was a cross between an 1980s lone hero movie, and as Hyperstrike pointed out, Dances with Wolves. But the decade-long gap better be due to writing and refining a solid 4-story script.

Used to hate Tsoo very early in the original game. That was back when one could run into a large room heavily populated with sorcerers. I've mentioned it elsewhere but it once took a pug my best friend and I were on nearly 3 hours to clear a large room that was mostly sorcs, with a LOT of hospital transports along the way. I don't recall when it happened, but they seem to have been toned down a lot. Hated Crey for the Protectors and their ridiculous 1 minute invulnerability to everything. I always felt it should have been changed to something like 90% resistance, so we could chip them down those last few points. I think they got changed recently, though I don't remember reading patch notes on that. Love the Freaks, always have, but I don't remember the super sappers from my time in the original game, and I hate how easily they recharge. Perhaps its just the swiss cheese that is my memory, but I seem to recall the rez could happen to any Freak, without the leeching, and I found that so much more fun, than one type dominant in the rez, and all others recessive. Still like the group though. I've grown fond of Skulls (or is that Skuls?) with the addition of the female characters, including leadership roles, they feel more fleshed out (no pun intended) and the Eagle Eye arc that was added is really a lot of fun. I suppose what makes me hate or like a group is to how well balanced they are between member types. If the group clearly relies heavily on 1 or 2 types, then that is a turn off. But the closer groups come to feeling like every member type can give me a notable challenge, especially if they coordinate attacks better than other groups, those are the groups that would appeal to me.

Yes but this will be Dances with Alien Seawolves. Very different. 😉

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Techwright replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I saw that. I'm not convinced...yet. I'd expect a lot more gamma-infused beings than just her, even if the family DNA is to blame. Though...this might also be the way that characters like Doc Samson get into the mix. -
Tried it once. After fighting in a blue cave tunnel, back to the wall and fighters in close quarters in all directions, completely blinded by a dozen or more battle auras, I decided the blind monk approach wasn't for me and switched back to 3rd person view.

Before I would get into the rest of your diatribe, let me pause at this line and ask a question that's been bugging me long before you ever posted this. What's "sovereign" about the Rogue Islands? No, seriously. Oh, sure, you said "any" but lets be real: it's the game, it's the Rogue Islands. There's multiple parties on the islands. Sure, Arachnos is the dominating force, but are they recognized by the UN or whatever other cooperative body exists in the Prime Earth, and do they have a representative sitting there? Perhaps they are and I've missed the dialog. I freely admit that as a possibility, so I'm asking.

"Venice", the industrial area with a growing environmental consciousness, became "Crey's Folly" when the Rikti attacked and targeted a specific Crey facility spreading a green, hazy "element" across the zone. The "Crey Cares" badge states that Crey is in the area, supposedly to provide clean-up for environmental reasons, but are actually looking for a way to collect the element that was spilled from their labs, concentrating it for unknown purposes. Is there a mission story arc that fleshes out the tale of this mysterious element and what Crey intends with it?

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law
Techwright replied to ThaOGDreamWeaver's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I've never followed the She-Hulk storyline closely, but I could have sworn she always remained green, and didn't go back and forth. Was that actually so in the comics, even if perhaps for a time? Has it been publicly stated whether they're bringing The Leader back or not? I'd heard rumors a while back that Red Hulk would soon appear in the MCU, and it was assumed he'd be in She-Hulk, but with the death of the actor, I'm not sure that's going to happen. -
I've no facts to go off of, but based on how Weaver's character ended up in the first film, I'd not be surprised to find out that she serves as the herald or "voice" of the planet, perhaps one that can be accessed via visions when the Pandorans use their hair neural fibers to bond with parts of the world. 10 kilos is astonishing. That's closer to 2 bowling balls.

Well, that's just Jimmie Dandy! I don't suppose someone can whip up some homemade "Jimmie" Dodgers for the festivities?

Is development here slowing to a stop? Maintenance mode?

Freshwater or Saltwater? Oh and that Clown Assault better have an equal to gang war, where a clown car pulls up and an insane number of clowns in a posse jump out and start a custard pie fight. -
