  1. I half take back what I said about dark servant after reading a bit more. Although still stupid he can be quite good for solo play or small teams. Still wouldn't use him for large groups though.
  2. Clarion for the mez stuff is probably the best, but you could just carry a lot of break frees al the time. The power is for you to decide, do you want a travel power or not? distortion field? go for it. If you get super speed it would allow you to put a knockback protection io set in there making you immune to knockback/knockdown up to mag 7 (some avs and other things have mag 9) So, I took out the chance for -resistance in soul drain ( :( I know) in order to get to the resist cap. This will also provide more dmg mitigation through regen. Taking the agility or spiritual alphas will get you perma chrono. And yeah, this is an expensive build. Its something to work towards instead of start from. Also, I wouldn't necessarily follow the order of the powers with how I took them. I was just plotting away in order to get all the powers and IO sets I need in order to softcap def and resist. So, this is now what we are working with.   3. Twilight Grasp is obviously essential in groups (its your only heal). Make sure to slot it with accuracy as it requires a hit check. So, Darkest Night is amazing in groups, just pop it on the boss/elite boss/AV and you've just saved the team from taking a ton of dmg. Next, I'd say Tar Patch is also essential and try to get as much recharge as you can, if you get two tar pits out in a group that's 60% more dmg everyone in the group is doing and its a way to go beyond the dmg buff cap (500% for corruptors). Make friends with a /kin and just watch as all the mobs in the tar pit melt. Howling Twilight is also essential in groups, if you can rez allies, its a damn good thing and the disorient to enemies makes it safe for them to pop up and get their toggles back up. Shadow Fall is another great group support ability. More def and stealth? Yes, please. If people put celerity in sprint also you guys can basically stealth through missions around you. It's really the defense that is so valuable though as getting close or to the softcap offers huge dmg mitigation. I never got much use out of fearsome stare in groups, you arent a controller or a dominator so the chance of successfully fearing enemeis is much lower especially as you go to +3 or +4 mobs. I personally wouldn't take it, but hey maybe there is a set bonus that will get you closer to the softcap so you can use it just for io set bonuses. (there is, they are called Siphon insight and Cloud Senses, but both require 5 or 6 slots to get the defense.....So I personally would skip this power all together if you mostly intend to group) Petrifying Gaze, same thoughts as fearsome stare. Its only a mag 3 hold, hard to pull off against higher lvl enemies without another hold already on them. I wouldnt take it for group play. Black hole is the bane of a groups existence. DO NOT TAKE IT. Making the foes intangible means no one in your group can do anything to them, this will vastly slow down the group flow. (However, there is one caveat to this, if your team wipes and its just you or 1-2 other people against a crowd, you can black hole and then Howling twilight rez, I've done this and its amazing, but honestly this occurence almost never happens). I would personally skip this. God I wish this pet was good, he's so cool, but no, he's an idiot and does stupid things and is just not as useful as he should be. I would especially avoid him for group play as he isn't really needed and may just get in the way. Ok, those are my opinions on the secondaries, I have never got a primary dark blast to 50 so someone else will have to help you with that. I've only made a fire/dark corr farmer a long long time ago.   5. You'd have to check, but I don't think you can super jump while hover is on....not 100% sure though, it's been awhile since I played with hover. Of course, you could just turn off hover when traveling, but hover may work like combat jumping. If I activate ninja run or super speed, combat jumping automatically turns off and vice-versa. In terms of vengeance verses maneuvers, I would take maneuvers. Maneuvers is a toggle so it's uptime is 100% and it gives def to the whole team. Vengeance is a powerful buff, but it requires someone to die in order to use it, which ideally shouldn't happen and in many groups never happens. Both can have defense sets however which allows you to put a LotG global recharge in both and get 15% recharge to all your powers (7.5% each). Now, dark/dark offers a lot of -acc which theoretically allows you not to worry as much about hitting the def softcap (45%), but typically in real world use, you always get hit by some ranged guy who isn't debuffed and so -acc isn't really as good as it looks on paper. In terms of sets, I'd focus on trying to get your def to the softcap above everything else, then recharge, then dmg and accuracy. You don't have a snipe so you don't need too much accuracy, just enough to hit +3 mobs (you'll have the +1 lvl shift alpha, so really +4s). You can see your chance to hit in pines by changing the base tohit to 48 in the configuration. Just get to 95% and you are good. Recharge is really really good on /dark because the more you have, the more far pits you can have out. I'd aim for enough recharge to have two far pits out at all times and perma hasten. Play around with Pines and see what you can come up with. Hope this helps. As always these are just my opinions and I could be wrong. I used to have a 50 fire/dark Corr back on live, but that was a long long time ago. P.S. do you play on Torchbearer? Might be fun to team with you. I'm having a great time on my fire/time and fire/kin corruptors.....I just love corruptors so much.
  6. Sonic not a good solo set? Use your area sleep, casually walk up and Fulcrum Shift and Siphon Power, step back, Howl, Sleep them again. Move into group and Dreadful Wail. If anything is alive, Transference yourself back to full endurance and then finish it off. That sounds so slow and tedious compared to fire. Run up, fulcrum shift, aim, inferno. But fair enough, I don't think Sonic is a good solo set compared to some others would have been a better statement.
  7. With that much recharge on fulcrum shift, I think the musculature core alpha isn't doing much for you. With two fulcrum shifts you are at dmg cap for sure, so regardless of the alpha breaking past ED it still won't break past the 500% dmg cap on corruptors. I suggest either the agility or spiritual alphas instead, the spiritual alphas especially if you really have no endurance issues, but it doesn't really offer anything else you'd want. However, the agility could still out a bit more defense for you, while still giving you 33% more recharge (22% of which breaks last the ED cap). I'd go with the agility alpha personally, 20% more def with 33% recharge is hard to beat.
  8. Ok, so 1. You are at run speed cap with siphon speed > sprint > ninja run, so super speed would not add any speed. The only benefit would be the stealth. 2. You are right about victory rush, but its not really for me, its for the team before a big fight, plus that allows me to focus more on dps for the next 2 minutes instead of using transference more often. Yes, I can eek out another 1.88% s/l def by replacing it with aim two-slotted, which I may do, I haven't decided yet. 3. Yeah, the order in which I took the powers shouldn't really be taken as representative of what you should do in game. I was just going through, making sure I had the powers I wanted.   9. I love corruptors and prefer them most times to defenders, but with the powersets you are talking about, you are going to want to go defender. The Sonic resist debuffs are much stronger especially as they stack. That setup is completely designed to buff a teams damage through buffs and debuffs. Sure, the Corr can take the team to the dmg cap too, but it won't lower the resists as much resulting in lower overall team dmg, which I gather is what you are going for because Sonic is not a good solo set. Of course the corruptors will do more dmg itself before the resist debuffs start to stack and then the defender will end up doing more overall dmg even with scourge. I see no reason at all to go corruptor with those sets.
  10. Time is great as a tanky buffer dps. Kin is more pure buff and dps. So do you like glass cannons that can dmg cap the whole team? Go kin. Do you like tanky recharge reduction buffs with some dps and acc+dmg debuffs thrown in? Go time. Personally I think time is the stronger set without a shit ton of investment (with a lot of investment, kin is better imo).
  11. Good advice on chronoshift and numinas. My problem with having rune of protection is that I'd like to farm with this build too and the idea of suddenly taking 20-25% more dmg for 30-40 seconds is not appealing to me. This build also allows me to take musculature if I like as soul drain alone will not cap my dmg (unfortunately). For end issues I was thinking of just taking ageless.
