  1. Generally, I think yes, powers actually "happen" instantly in terms of apply their effects.
  2. Honestly it seems like a lv14 power at best. Super Speed needs some love.
  3. As a MA lifer I support this. I probably would stick with the existing Storm Kick, but I don't oppose sharing them across ATs. Regarding the , I would love to have something like that back but they would basically have to completely revisualize it to fit the timing. If they're going to do that, I'd rather they just work up alternates for various attacks across the board (and allow us to set them to be random).
  4. Burnout seems kind of meh compared to some of the other top-tier travel powers. I haven't tried it but I'm at the point where it's become an option. Does anyone use and/or like it?
  5. To me, concept is king. If I can't come up with a concept to justify an AT or powerset, I won't bother. For example, my main is Martial Arts. MA is mainly kicks, so I decided his hands are malformed and useless for fighting. He relies on his legs and feet, which ties in nicely with the powerset. To round him out, he's also Super Speed and Super Jump. I carry the concept forward such that I won't use Brawl or any hand-based prestige or pool power with him, despite suffering from a gap in rotation early on. Funny thing, I had the same character back in the early live days, and there was a post on the old forums about changing some MA attacks to punches. One of the mods or devs indicated they were thinking about it, but then I piped up in the thread about how I built my concept around that quirk of the powerset. In the end they didn't change MA. I probably didn't, but I like to think I had some influence on that decision.
  6. Right, similar to what I suggested. I'd be okay with any number of auto-click powers that were self-affecting only. And then one non-self auto-click power, like an attack. However, I also think that the desire to auto-click self-affecting powers probably should be taken as a hint that at least some of those powers should be revisited as autos or toggles.
  7. Not that we're all waiting for the other NCShoe to drop or anything...
  8. It's a little disconcerting.
  9. Is it worth it to slot Swift?
  10. Some click powers might benefit from being revisited as auto or toggles. Practiced Brawler, I'm looking at you...
  11. You can increase the difficulty of your missions, if that helps? It means you'll fail/"die" more often but then succeeding will feel more satisfying.
  12. Just want to point out here that with Afterburner, Fly is almost as fast as Superspeed. And in practice a lot faster since you don't have to fly around obstacles or jump over things.
  13. Oh, I see. I'm confusing the +Def % provided by the SO and my character's base Def.
  14. One thing I'd like clarity on is if it's worth it to go over that 45% value to ward against -Def debuffs? So if my Def is, say, +60%, I know I'm still capped. But if I get a -15% Def debuff, am I still capped? Super Reflexes already has a high amount of resistance to defense debuffs. So going over 45% isn't worth it, in my opinion, for that particular goal with SR. If you're concerned about specific groups with LTs or Bosses with higher than average hit chances, then using inspirations covers that gap if you are opposed to certain Incarnate solutions. Also, those kinds of enemies are priority targets to die first while their friends whiff whiff whiff. So if I'm understanding right, if I put one SO (assume even level) into Agile and one into Focused Senses, each of which grants (I think) +22.5% +Def to ranged, I'm now at the ranged Def cap and any more +Def in those or any other powers is overkill?

  16. I know you're being funny, but there's some truth to that. A game like this is more fun if everyone plays by the same basic rules. I mean, if I asked if I could turn off exp debt just for myself because I don't like it, I'd be rightly /JRangered. I just think Judasace's original request isn't something most players would want. The hardcore SG idea would work great, though, especially if it was acceptable that your dead character merely leave the SG instead of being deleted. I might join that SG myself, just to try out the experience.
  17. I don't know if it's a known issue but my wife can't play it on her 4k monitor at native rez either. She "settles" for 1920x1080 like some kind of animal. ;)
  18. Not really seeing much hostility in this thread, TBH. I see opposing viewpoints or opinions, but that's not the same thing.
  19. As a MA/SR main, I endorse this attitude 100%.
  20. Am I dense or does this mission not provide a location?
  21. If it's just for you, you could delete your character upon death. I worry that if they made a hardcore server you'd just see people running around with duplicates of their own dead characters. If the game had been designed for this from the start, they could have added in story arcs that let you use an alt to resurrect another alt, which could be interesting. But I suspect this is pretty niche.
  22. Ok, I need to try this. What text-to-speech app are you using?
  23. What is this "favorite build" idea of which you speak?
  24. Well, yeah, I'm not trying to take the position that KR doesn't need attention. But at the same time it's not bad to be sent into dangerous areas. SS has a pretty strong stealth component. I literally bump into purples, and if I move on quickly enough they don't seem to react. Did you know you can run up walls with Ninja Run? I've crossed the Hollows by running along the war walls. My reference to Jump Pack is to use it in conjunction with Teleport if you have concerns about falling, or just use Hover as your travel power -- which is what I did for my Stalker. It's slow but safe. I get the issue with being sent to farm mobs at level 7 and the only ones in the zone you're sent to are 10+. That's certainly a problem.
