  1. Okay.. I've been playing CoX since a month after launch and I am kind of ashamed to admit that last night I *just* learned that the villain side of Pocket D has red lighting and the hero side has blue lighting. (I also learned that you can get a Gullible badge from Null the Gull, but since that's not obvious, I'm not embarrassed about it 😁 ) Has anyone else learned something that was an 'oh.. duh!' moment?
  2. I think the Carnie's Master Illusionist's Phantasm stays after she goes down?
  3. Because a) some of us don't want to create AE missions and b) some of us just aren't any good at it. There are people out there who are 1000x better than myself at creating dialog, story, and mission design. I don't want to play a crappy AE arc that I designed. Also, AE takes me out of the Isles/Paragon City. It makes me feel like my character is in a choose your own adventure book as opposed to working through the ranks in the Isles/City.
  4. After you choose your ambition, I think your contact could be your personal "white board" where you have listed the tasks you need to accomplish your goals. If there is a specific lair created, the white board would actually be in that lair and clickable, like the radio or television.
  5. Yes, a special server would help people like myself not having to engage in PvP (or worry about a flag setting) but, in all honesty, I don't feel a low population server is worth the time and effort when so many other things could be worked on to help improve red side?
  6. Totally agree on this. @holymittens did an awesome job and I think too many people just didn't play the arcs. I think when you become a Rogue or a Vigilante, the contacts should pop-up automatically, like Twinshot and Dr. Graves. If you've outleveled the missions, when you get there, you can have the choice of auto-exemping down. (Sorry, I know this was off-topic, but I really wanted to add to that comment)
  7. I totally admire your passion and clear thinking/presentation. I, too, don't agree with everything you said, but much of it makes sense and can really help to improve QoL/Gameplay. I really enjoyed the Rogue/Vigilante arcs that were specially created and I would love to see more content like that on both sides, but giving red some more love first 😉 I think there would be some amazing player created content by people who love this game and really know the lore and the finer details. Some things where the world changes, based on your actions/storyline, would be great. One of the parts I really enjoy about Gold is that when a contact dies.. they're gone from your map. That really needs to happen redside. You could betray a contact and get them killed - either by your hand or another and buh-bye.
  8. My biggest problem in this whole thread is when people start mentioning opening the game up to full PVP, with or without flags. I am a solo player and my favorite side is redside. Not for RPG purposes, but for the story, zones, characters, everything. I am probably in the minority, but I really feel PvP killed a large portion of the game and the player base. So many changes were done to accommodate the pvp players and their screams of balance and unfairness. I don't want PvP in any more places than it already is and I don't think that's going bring people to redside. You can make the same AT's on either side, so PvP won't make a difference. One thing I would like to see is some better placements of the ferries/transports. As a lowbie, given a mission on the farthest end of Mercy is painful to get there. Getting a mission at the north end of Nerva makes me want to auto complete it rather than try and get there and then fight my way through the underbrush to find the portal. At least with IP, Steel, and Sky you can hope the train and come out at the other end.
  9. I think the neon at night in St. Martial is gorgeous. I love flying around there at night. Yes, that's only one zone, but I think the others have good and bad points, just like blue side.
  10. A. I like to know I am playing with like minded individuals. B. I can't base build for spit, so I like to be able to freeload off someone else's amazing work 🙂
  11. A KINDRED SPIRIT! (Although I use the left alt and left ctrl.) So many people think I am weird because I fire all my powers off the numpad.
  12. Are you on Torch? I saw this type of "TF SPam" the other night and thought it was COOL!
  13. That map makes me want to tear my hair out.. if I had any left. I street sweep that map and I swear that some of the hostages don't show up until you've killed x number of mobs. That last one is almost impossible to find.
  14. Even tho I am technically doing nothing, I love doing this. I watch my numbers all the time. I can't believe I am over 600K! I hope that something good comes out of what I am doing 🙂
  15. Steamrolling is something you do to Cabbage Patch Dolls... Oh.. in terms of game play.. Steamrolling, to me, is a byproduct of finding out you have an overpowered team. I've not heard of someone setting up a TF for steamrolling because you don't normally know it's going to happen until the team starts playing together. But if the leader said, "We're going to steamroll this", I would know what was meant.
  16. I play on two different systems, my home PC and my laptop when at work or on the road. I set up all my windows the way I like on my PC and then went into options and saved the setting to the default file. Because the laptop has a different screen, everything would be smushed and I would have to re-arrange the windows again. Then it dawned on me that the default files are saved locally. So, I set all my windows up on my laptop and saved them to the default file. When I switch machines, I just type /wdwload and the windows switch to whatever machine I am using. (I use the default files - windows, key mapping, chat, and options for every new toon I create. Saves so much time because I remap almost all of my power tray keys to my numpad.)
  17. I can't find them right now, but I have 5 bumper stickers I got here:
  18. I still have, and wear, my FREEM shirt.
  19. You're not a true blaster until you've waited in a team fight to level-rez.
