  2. It is still in the works. I've just been busy & burnt out. . I still want to do it this Fall more or less.
  3. I'm going to be aiming for an August date for this - an August weekend more than likely. I'll start finalizing the details soonTM.
  4. Please never post in one of my threads again, Berk.
  5. Villains are valid too! It's a little hard to pull off IC, but I'm sure any attending RP-VGs wouldn't mind IC making some distance from the main plaza. It's stuff that can be discussed.
  6. DETAILS WHERE: HALL-22329 (SATURDAY), Red-18852 (SUNDAY) WHEN: April 23rd - 24th / Saturday & Sunday! WHAT: A RP-SG/VG recruitment faire with costume contests & trivia alike! PRIZES: 5 Billion Influence [3/27/2022 - Updated] HOSTS: Shadeknight (@Shadeknight), ??? UPDATE 3/27/2022 MOVING FORWARD: THE FAIR Date: April 23rd - 24th [Saturday - Sunday] Time: 5PM Central / 6PM Eastern With the date settled, it is time to begin moving forward. I am going to be splitting this event / celebration out across three days. This will be watched to see how effective it is / how wanted it is versus a two day thing. One step closer to perfecting the event! So what does this mean? Well, let's get down to it! SATURDAY: TRIVIA/COSTUME CONTESTS [APRIL 23RD / 4PM CST/5PM EST] The start to the weekend-long fair & celebration is the trivia and costume contests. Are you a reader of all things DC, Marvel, and Image (Invincible)? Have you committed the Marvel/DC movies to your memory? Do you know a little too much about Spider Man? Bring that to this day and try your luck against the community! However, that's not all. Three costume contests will be happening to deliver the prize pool to the Best Hero, Best Villain, and Best Team. Given the theme of the celebration, this means bring a character that looks like they'd belong in an Age of Comics or a Superhero Movie. Best Team means TWO to EIGHT people. One person from each team will be given the total prize money to dish out among all participants from their team. The team needs to look cohesive and show unity in some form between one another. Supergroups that will participate in this, please limit yourself to eight people at most for this Costume Contest! At this time I am looking for judges to help me with the Costume Contests. SATURDAY/SUNDAY: RECRUITMENT FAIRS [5PM CST/6PM EST] On Saturday, we will hold the Heroic Recruitment Fair! Any roleplay group that fits within the Hero / Vigilante side of things will be able to set up in a base (code to be dropped on the day of the event) and spread yourselves out evenly/as best as possible. During this evening, anyone can drop by (bearing in mind the base, etc) and see if a group fits their character. Alternatively, forge new alliances for your group/character! On Sunday, we will hold the Villainous Recruitment Fair! A location will be provided on the day of, and vigilantes and rogues can set up and recruit! Bring your evil societies, your Arachnos unit, and more! If you operate in unlawful grounds and situations this event is for you. Similarly, forge new deals and orchestrate potential backstabbings at this event! During both days, it is asked that groups do not spam recruitment messages. We ask that people keep it to once every 10-15 minutes if possible. If that doesn't work, then a new method will be attempted next year. Groups that are coming: Please do not flood either base with your members. This means no recruitment bots! Please keep it to actual players only on actual characters! How can I help? So you want to help. One of two ways! Prize Donation If you wish to donate a prize (influence, IOs, something else idk) for the contests/trivia please send it to (@)Shadeknight in-game or drop it off to my actual character. Last year we had over 9 billion influence given away in total - between IOs and Influence. If you want to coordinate dropping off any prizes, please DM me! Prize cutoff is the day of the 22nd! If there is an unorthodox reward (art commission or something else, by some luck) then please coordinate with me ASAP! Co-host/Co-judge Generally, its a hefty task to run these things! Lots of interest, lots of people - I myself do not mind if anyone wishes to step up. All this entails is keeping track of groups for Day 2 & 3 + helping me judge the Costume Contests on Day 1! Co-hosts can also funnel feedback to me as they hear it during the night, and any adjustments we can make on the fly? We will try! 7. You'll have to elaborate, for I am the confuse.
  8. Roy, you're misreading what we're saying. It's getting straight up frustrating that you keep leaping to conclusions and misreading what has been typed. We are showing a lack of tolerance towards stupid and inappropriate things being said during Hami Raids & other content. We are taking this step to ask people to remember that we're all a bunch of internet strangers - that what we've said as examples are not okay to be said - that's it. It is in the CODE OF CONDUCT to not say very specific things - a Code of Conduct which has gone ignored. This isn't being upset at "words", but being annoyed and fed up with people saying disgusting and disturbing things during our content runs. This isn't us getting "triggered." or any other excuse you want to try and make up. It shows a general ignorance if not outright blindness to brush what we've said off as that. We cannot control that people want to talk about more than TFs in the ELTF channel. We'll gently remind people, but there's only so much we can/will do. Now, if it gets to the points brought up in this thread? Then we need to bring this up - that there are things not okay with being said either by us or by the rules of the server. You're making it out to be something entirely different.
  9. r0y, this isn't some private medium where everyone is the same. Not everyone is open or free to any sort of topic. Some stuff also really should not be mentioned or brought up. I don't log into an MMO to see someone going "Let's ethnically cleanse these bad guys!" or seeing a sexual joke that's clearly not meant to be seen for children's eyes. It isn't a matter of thin skin or "personal weakness" that makes words get to you. It's a matter of, hey, being a decent human being and thinking before you type. You don't know the people on the other side of the screen - they're not your best buddies or long time friends. A lot of us are complete actual strangers, and it's neither fair nor appropriate for them to have to put up with this stuff at public events. It's not that hard to be an actual person and consider others over yourself in regards to interactions. This isn't "my free speech" or "get a thicker skin" at all - its us asking for people to actually behave and be adults. It's not even remotely an adult thing to do to crack terrible references/jokes among a bunch of strangers - especially in a game, as I've mentioned, where people have their children playing. I also know that, even as someone who IS an adult, I don't go around enjoying things like "teehee sexual joke." during a Hami Raid (or in other places) I also certainly do not enjoy hearing about references to a whole lot of other things that should not be said in public mediums. I could go on and on about examples, but frankly I'm not sure where to even begin. People have been ignorant of the Code of Conduct for long enough, and treating various channels as their own comedy hour - with some very deplorable and detestable things being said. Even the lightest stuff is getting to be too much - given what I'd consider "light." The major reason I posted this is because myself & the other ELTF operators / raid leaders have gotten tired of this being a reoccurring thing. All we're asking is that people be decent. Not that hard.
  10. It's not about what happens in the ELTF channel. The stuff mentioned has happened in other mediums - tells and broadcast as major examples. Also, the summary would be more "Hey, Follow the Code of Conduct." The matter of what's talked about in a TF channel is something we can only do so much to control without being overbearing as operators of the channel. The problem is that people are ignoring or forgetting the CoC - especially in Broadcast. People don't come to Hami Raids to see references to genocide or see sexual jokes. Especially in a game where there can and have been kids playing. All we're asking is that people, if they truly must say this sort of stuff, do it among friends and not complete internet strangers.
  11. Hey everyone! This is a general message from the raid leaders about some recent conduct. The origin of Everlasting TFs was to create a gathering spot for the content that has come from us today - that is, groups gathering to do iTrials and other content. In doing so, we hope to create and foster a community that is open and welcoming to as many people as possible. However, even that has its limits - for we do not tolerate things that are sexual in nature, hate speech, references to controversial real-world individuals or organizations, or sensitive current or historical events among many other things. More on this is that we do not tolerate or stand for those who are dishonest and disruptive towards our efforts to run the iTrials and other content. We strive to welcome new and old - so when we see people dishing harsh words towards other's accomplishments, it is a sign that one has forgotten where they are and what they are doing. There have been a variety of other things going on that have caught our eye, but the point is - please do remember that ELTF seeks to welcome all sorts to our community. We're all here to play the same game, and none of us want to come home from work / school and see harassment, passive aggressive remarks, or crude if not unwanted jokes / commentary. Please remember that Everlasting TFs seeks to welcome players of all levels of skill or experience. All we ask is that you to be aware of your conduct. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to one of the ELTF operators/raid leaders.
  12. My pet peeve is pet peeves--damnit, Latex beat me to it.
  13. It is the art of my main / namesake.
  14. Correct. Also seen during Hamidon raids (on Everlasting at the least)
  15. Apologies, mate.
  16. I mean, sure I'll agree there. But I think the movement of treating people fairly and not, y'know, murdering them isn't 100% political.
  17. Were it something like more centric to, say, politics? I'd agree. If the MOTD was used to go #MAGA or some other stuff, I'd agree.
  18. Chief, chill out. This isn't a sane response.
  19. I don't think calling BLM B.S is the hill to die on, chief.
  20. Sure, BB Back on topic though - I didn't even notice in the MOTD, tbh. I habitually close those ASAP. It's a nice thing. It's not a political statement or anything. Yeah. Words.
  21. Many more are to come knowing the duality of man. Or did I mean individuality?
  22. Hey, my imaginary friend is made out of steel and rocks thank you very much!
  23. BLM is not politics, but that isn't rocket science to figure out.
  24. The point of the movement has gone over your head if you have to state this. While true, I would honestly beg that you at least look up BLM to understand why its a movement.
  25. I would say adjusting as they see fit is like putting foot in mouth and then shooting said foot. The idea of rewriting a character that does not belong to you & changing their history is a bit odd. I apologize if I came off as thinking you did. I would agree, but I am having a hard time wrapping around the idea of a character written way before all this doing one heinous act being on the same side as what's going on in real life. Fair point.
