Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Ruin Mage replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
oh good this thread. hard no. -
Hi, guy who runs the HC RP Discord here. You were not permanently muted. I was going to take it off after I woke up. COR does not permanently mute. We do it by hours. People like me, Starforge, Cthulette, Aquard, and others gave you countless amounts of advice. Advice that you ignored because we didn't agree with you. Alternatively: "I have only discarded advice given by those who clearly do not understand the issue at all." You have constantly, when this topic has been brought up, demeaned SG leaders vaguely and demeaned HC/Everlasting as if it doesn't have RP or doesn't have good leadership. You have constantly claimed that everyone is treating you like trash, but when pointing out that the only constant is its happening to you, you double down on people being wrong and not you. Even vaguely apologizing or half-assing an excuse of "oh i know i did wrong a few times." etc. You acclaim that I needed to get the F over it when muted. When I in fact stopped a topic because it kept going in circles. The topic of "god why is this community garbage." in fact - a topic started by you. You have said HC's community is not worth of praise and blanket-statement called people shitbags. You claimed I am no better than neckbeards. Wowee. You claimed people don't agree with you because they're "blinded by nostalgia." in regards to how "crappy" HC is. There is a handful of other servers if HC is so bad, y'know. You have claimed that most people online are not to be trusted and will make you regret talking to them. When asked to apologize, you put an "ugh..." after saying "Let no one claim I did not want to apologize." - That shows insincerity. You claimed other people are upset. That they don't want to listen. That you don't want to grovel or bow down. You have caused issues in Everlasting TFs - in which you got vitriolic over someone wanting to solo Ghost Widow and a tanker soloing the Miss Liberty TF. You went on to claim that people did these things willingly to agitate/get at you. Including speed runs/records that were only meant to apparently goad you or something like that. Please don't lie if you don't want to get called out 🙂 No, no it would not be.

I have one last thing to say about threads like these: Stop trying to force modern MMO ideology/mindset onto a game from 2004. Stop. You make my small brain hurt. -

the rage at the kid thing is hilarious over a one day (give or take) long joke. take a breather and don't play if it annoys you that much. -

COH is notorious for being a hot mess code-wise. -

Fire farms are still the go-to. They will be until they do something other than a very minuscule change. Stop over-exaggerating, please. -

False. -

The reactions have varied, but the change is being blown out of proportion. Farms are still going to be the best way - there's just a small decrease in influence in the efforts to close the gap and fix an issue. I don't particularly have a hand in AE farming, but I also prefer people experiencing content outside of the AE building. If SGs go "bwuh my farming is making less money" and don't host anything, sure that sucks but people will pick up the slack. -

I've got people saying that farming will still be the go-to. It's just no longer an absurd lead over things. Which is good. -

My point is that, yes, provided it doesn't look like HC will go back on the change for the time being. Alternatively take it on the chin and continue playing. The inf change isn't this horrifying monster of a change. -

Thunderspy is enjoying 30+ people. Rebirth is around 10-20, sure. Cake or Sanctuary are similar numbers, I think. Maybe more maybe less. And they don't have to cater to anyone in specific. So if you disagree with the changes and they hold fast to them, the other servers exist. -

If people who farm are the only ones who get tilted off of this, it's also telling. This affects farmers the most of all, and that's a good thing. -

I have a huge disdain for threads like this, but its always interesting to read the replies. I'm of the mind that people need to temper their expectations/wants/desires. Game aint changing in any significant way any time soon or perhaps ever. -
Good lord, another one of these threads. RECAP TIME AGAIN: The game is easy by design of Paragon Studios and Homecoming's Quality of Life changes (likely adopted from SCORE) +4/x8 is the end all be all because it's not as simple as making mobs level 56. 54 is the cap outside of Incarnate shifted mobs in iTrials/Dark Astoria/etc. Difficulty levels would just be number changes. Guess what would happen? We'd steam roll over +6 mobs, it would just be a little more tedious on bosses/AVs. No one in their right mind wants an hour long AV fight or close to it. If the game is too easy, there are plenty of games out there to fulfill your desire for a challenge. CoH is not challenging anymore. It's an old game that has been figured out head to toe. Homecoming, to my knowledge, does not have the capacity or power to turn the game on its head or deliver what people keep asking for in regards to "game too easy." and all the other related topics.

Difficulty in CoH: Community Discussion
Ruin Mage replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in General Discussion
I think the game is just right for the number of facts: It has numerically been min-maxed from top to bottom. People have figured out what does what and how much it does. Development on content is at a stand still. I mean new actual content that would shift how hard/easy the game is. New enemies, new enemy types, new AI.' The Incarnate System gives level 50s a grand amount of power, but isnt end all be all. That is enhancement's play field. This feeds into point 1. It's an old game that the devs were legit making easy as time went on. -
Enhancement tray slots, sure. Power enhancer slots? No.

Gotta hold yer horses on that one until we know what HC team is capable of. The ships has sailed on how accessible HC wants the game to be. -
Restrict Judgment powers during regular play.
Ruin Mage replied to Darkneblade's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The problem with the Incarnate System is that the future Incarnate content got put to a dead halt with shutdown. Remove the Incarnate powers, and you still have people blazing through content. The problem isn't powers. The "problem" is that the game has been figured out head to toe. Numbers crunched. These sort of suggestions are just like throwing darts at a very tiny dartboard and hoping it sticks.- 313 replies
