  1. Most seasoned AR players will tell you that beanbag has always been bad, and many more will tell you they stopped playing AR because of all of the problems with it, beanbag included. There isn't a silent majority of AR players who are cheering in victory over this, quite the opposite. The good news, is that the new ignite kinda slaps. So the set is in a pretty good place considering it's bean-laden problem.
  2. AR/TA after the latest BS update. 3:30 without level up 3:23 with level up. defense + survival amplifiers on. No video just because I want to save that for an even better run, pretty sure I can get better, anyway. That's pretty good for a character that's missing aim.
  3. Treat storm cell more like a rain power that moves than a power you need to have following you from pack-to-pack, and the set plays a lot better.
  4. Storm's pretty great for the situations you can set up for, and still fine when it has to play catch-up. Seeing the same people harp on it not being the next fire blast isn't productive feedback.
  5. I think the amount of people who take beanbag and like it would not even equate to a fraction of the people who would rather have a different, useful power. I can at least see people taking it while leveling/experimenting, because they don't know better. Even the forums, which are but a vocal minority of the community, has made it abundantly clear that they don't like beanbag. Even the people that liked old ignite are going "oh god, get it away from me!"
  6. New ignite change has my AR character going from a near 3m average pylon to around a 2m average, playing around with various rotations. I'm pretty convinced beanbag is still garbage compared to your other options. Pretty big, but I'd like to get some times below 2m with tac arrow. Interested to see what you guys come up with, I have to head out. Edit: Got a much faster storm time now that I think I got a bit of a good rhythm for my rotation, swapping hailstones for tornado/ls when they're up. I'd like to see what a cold character could do with storm blast.
  7. I love the direction of the new chain lightning animation way more than the ball. The initial bolts and the chain damage look really wimpy, though. Something about the ball added some 'weight' to the power that doesn't really exist anymore when fighting large groups. Suggestion: Thicken the bolts or whatever other means you have to make the chain bolts more noticeable in a large fight.
  8. Cool idea, but unreasonable at this stage. I'd stick to minor changes.
  9. Storm/storm is probably going to be really funny on the 4* hero-1 fight.
  10. If the fabled aprocalypse of legend ever happens, Storm's AOE isn't really that bad. The main issue is just that the set doesn't have a really good, proccable AoE. It still holds up well with that in mind.
  11. This is technically not a problem. Jet stream only knocks things that are in storm cell by design, so when you remove the repel for whatever reason, there's nothing to convert to a knockdown. I wouldn't bet on it changing, either way. I bet the deadline is soon.
  12. Real and true. If they ditch that borderline memeworthy proposal they made last night and ship the set, it will be in a pretty good spot.
  13. Here's an idea that would actually help: Reduce the cast time of category five and storm cell. If you do that without adding some weird unnecessary nerf, because in your minds every buff has to warrant a nerf to counteract it for some reason, a lot of problems people have with setup will be dealt with.
  14. The most significant difference solo is things scatter more and low health strays may escape more often. It's not a crippling issue if you have to gun it before cell is ready.
  15. Ah well fear not, for the solution we came up with is to give you a ten second longer recharge for some reason!
  16. Ideally, they reconsider. But on the bright side, assault rifle will be in a much better spot, regardless of being saddled with a useless stun.
  17. That is their current plan, yes. It is also why I think it is a godawful change. So you don't solve the problem, and make it worse for people who invest in their character, this helps how, exactly?
  18. Please don't beanbag storm cell. This doesn't address the complaints of the people whining about it here, and makes the power relocation more of a struggle for anyone playing past level 10. How did this idea even leave the drawing board? It makes the set worse.
  19. Ar has more than enough aoe, now that flamethrower doesn't take three hours to land anymore, and the oft forgotten grenade typing change made that power more palatable. It's the single target that needs a bit of help, and incinerator being buffed a bit will likely address that, despite the giant step backward reverting aim is.
  20. Lacking any evidence due to not having the foresight to actually record it at the time during it's short-lived existence, that's really all I got for ya. I could get into detail regarding how you had to recast it much more, when right now you are able to blast much more without having your flow interrupted, but other than my word and the fact you know I'm a good player, you're not getting much better than that. Do I agree that a shorter recharge would be fine if there wasn't a catch to duration or damage? Sure, at least it would shut people up about it. But that catch is the important disqualifier here. I think it's a non-issue, personally, there's no reason not to slot it with recharge, you'll accidentally get enough if you slot a full posi to get it damn near perma before we even factor in global recharge.
  21. Fulcrum shift isn't a core part of kinetics? Heat loss and benumb aren't a core part of cold? News to me. Recharge isn't going down without a duration cut, which will put the set in a worse place and in effect accomplish nothing. You alone account for most of the replies in this thread, tone it down a bit.
  22. Benumb, fulcrum shift, heat loss, I can easily dig for counter-examples. Quit spamming the thread, please.
  23. Not even proccable like suppressive, to boot. Sorry, I don't see the value of the stupefy proc in a set that already has the capability to permaknock whatever it's hitting. AR, unlike DP - also has good attacks now, so the need for a mez power is already hard to justify. Why mez an LT or boss when I can obliterate it with snipe, slug, incinerate and burst in no particular order while passively locking it down with knockdown?
  24. Overly complicated solution to the problem of "Beanbag is bad and incompatible with AR." at the end of the day. Aim is a simple fix that accomplishes the same end goal. Being 'generic' isn't a bad thing in and of itself.
  25. I'm using posi and/or ice mistral without it's proc. If you slot the ice mistral proc, it can proc on summoning, which notifies and can lead to headaches before you're ready.
