There's a few, but a pair of specific posts that started this were pages of argument, followed by one of the participants in said argument going "No, I haven't actually tested anything" while I know for a fact they don't play energy melee at all, and thus have no basis for their arguments.

I don't think I'm allowed to name names, sadly. Check the threads and you'll spot them pretty quickly, though.

Focused Feedback: Teleportation Pool Revamp
ScarySai replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
1: Hard disagree, if you turn with the mouse its objectively easier to navigate than with teleport. 2. Teleport is faster in theory outside because it has no range cap. However, in reality, if you're unable to load it with range boosts, it is not faster than base ss or fly with afterburner. Tactics is always on and does not interfere with the attack rotation. Tactics also is usually preceded by maneuvers and proceeded with vengeance to settle all defensive woes. CT has to be maintained and offers little benefit unless spammed. It also doesn't offer enough tohit to overpower getting debuffed, nor does it benefit your allies. I touch in this in the first point, but again - it's only the fastest when slotted. My ice/time with clarion radial, three slots in teleport and intuition's range boost can clear crazy distances, very few people can spare the slots though. Additionally, sos, ss and leaping have much easier navigation and less of a required slot investment to clear similar distances in a very similar amount of time. The more turns and fine adjustments you have to make, the less useful teleport is as a travel power. -

1: Super speed, leap and fly are all suitable for indoor travel and even combat. Teleport is not. It is slow, unwieldy and very unreliable at times. 2: Combat teleport's tohit buff is functionally worthless and might as well not exist. Defense would be more appropriate, if people would stop crying fear over min/maxing. 3: Super speed, SJ and fly don't need a buff because they work. Teleport needs an activation cut or a more substantial buff in its place, as it is by far the clunkier travel option. -
Probably, since I tested it and it made perfect sense to me for multiple reasons. Which is why I made that disclaimer in the OP. I would consider the feedback of someone who's mained a set for a long time to be more valuable than someone who never touched it before, and has only tested on beta for like a week. Fact of the matter is that most people bashing energy melee haven't actually played it, whereas the large majority of people who have are praising it. Additionally, I am firmly against the travel nerfs, the stacking is largely inconsequential to game balance and the fix strikes me as a frustrating annoyance.

The only thing I could really ask for at this point is if ET could knock my target across the room, but only on a killing blow. -

An animation reduction would be simple, but potentially good as well. Really, that's the core of the problem, it's great for travel, but due to how slow it is to animate and it's very all-or-nothing nature, it's kinda crap unless you're going in a totally straight line in an open area. -

In my experience, all my attacks land consistently unless I'm trying to do a pylon parse, then I get an invisible -75% tohit debuff any time I'm about to get a really good time. -

I do really think teleport itself needs some sort of usability fix to it, at the very least. Like, you can argue combat teleport handles the indoor traveling part, but I would argue that you shouldn't need two powers for a single travel pool to be functional for the purposes of travel. -

The general rule not only for this game, but any chance based system - is that the more you really need something to work, the more likely it will defy the law of averages to screw you over. -

I doubt it's being moved at this point. It's perfect where it is, and it really couldn't be moved elsewhere without becoming intrusive to attack chains. -

Slow ET isn't even a bad attack if you have to fit it in a chain. -
Happens to me too, usually on log-in. Re-toggling fixes it temporarily.

I get it, you read about a change you didn't like, maybe you're like me and are very...for the lack of a better word, 'reserved' with keeping Paragon's legacy alive in the wake of a new team's changes. But that being said, there's something important people should probably know, as I've seen a lot of people confessing to not actually testing the sets before running their mouth about them lately. IF YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TESTED THE SET, YOUR FEEDBACK IS WORTHLESS. If you've mained energy melee or whatever since 2005, that's one thing, but commenting on the state of a set without even testing it is just an idiotic thing to do. Stop that.

Better yet, give me the option to put 100% of my health into a punch that kills my target and my entire team. -

I'd liken it to a limit break or expending a built-up power meter if the game engine allowed for such mechanics. This is the the best thing they could really do with that concept. EM's AoE isn't mindblowing by any stretch when compared to it's competition, but it's not useless. You get your heavy, earth shattering hits. You are not getting full-time fast ET, it's pretty clear by now. Might as well accept the compromise that is the focus system. -

1: The second one won't proc if you whiff it, which is fair. 2: It's not really a combo mechanic, so much as a build/spend mechanic that allows ET and PC to be as powerful as they are in the eyes of the powers that be. 3: They do need to standardize the activation time for all powers that behave this way (hi, Incan strike.), but I don't see the crits being stronger considering the power of the rest of the set. Hell, they made ET crit, which is insane in and of itself. If you have a buddy debuffing stuff for you, you should be the scariest guy in the group. 4: When fighting a boss, sure. When fighting his friends on x8 after you just turned him into an astronaut? You'll want power crash, especially on a stalker. -

That's it. 3 stock ultimate final destination, come at me. No, I got what you said, you're just vastly underestimating the stun chances when you consider how fast the attacks are now, how high the stun chances are, and how well the set does at AoE and target swapping now. The rotations are very adaptable. Focus is really just a way to allow ET and PC to be as strong as they are without getting nerfed to oblivion. The -special strikes me as more of a team utility, or leveling tool. Not really my cup of tea, especially when it stops me from using my best filler attack. -

Rotations that use bone smasher are a lit less intensive than ep>x>ep rotations. I can run it at 160% recharge and can probably go lower. Even non-BS rotations can stun lock, though. Beating down +4 numina and having her wobble around is always fun. -

ScarySai replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I can casually lockdown +4 AVs before triangles just doing my rotation. It's really not worth "correcting" for. I daresay this is probably as perfect as the set is going to get, any deviations will likely be less enjoyable. -

ScarySai replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Going to hard disagree with Bopper and Monos here. The current build is way, WAY better than the first. Bone smasher not being locked away and putting the stun into barrage makes much more sense and clearly leads to less frustration. Imagine not being able to hit your third strongest attack because it will stop you from using one of the strongest attacks in the game. Terrible. But if I want to occasionally stun and debuff someone? Barrage. And again, nobody should have any trouble landing stuns as EM even without focus gaming. Bone smasher by itself is a 60% chance for a mag 3. -

Is it intentional for Shadow Step to not benefit from the untouchable status? This still hasn't been resolved. If so, why? Seems inconsistent, if intentional. -

I put fold space on my ice/time, it's the dumbest thing ever and I love it. If it taunted, I could get a lot of mileage out of it on my shade. >.> Fire/psi testing next, I imagine it will be the dumbest of them all in the best possible way. -

Dark armor main here, oppressive gloom and cloak of fear are generally considered skippable powers and it's really not comparable. This thread isn't for petty cat fights, so kindly get to testing or go away.
