  1. If you can run the game, you can run the mod installer. The most you MIGHT need to do is install dotnet48 via winetricks.
  2. FYI, Discord limits using files hosted by them, your image is broken.
  3. The registration page on the mod site is supposed to direct you to https://cityofheroes.dev/users/join.php Not sure why it's not. Once you sign up there, you can login to the mod site.
  4. If the game crashes, then mods are loading correctly. Since you've installed only sound mods it's not really easy to tell what is / isn't working, but there is nothing obviously wrong.
  5. Please try installing this mod: https://mods.cityofheroes.dev/mod/190 And see if the game crashes as expected.
  6. Tools -> Upload Support Bundle, and enter your forum username when it prompts, and I'll take a look.
  7. Super late I know... but they *DID* remove the translated content when they dropped to English only, and that content was ONLY ever server side, so it's not possible to go grab NPC / Mission text etc from older clients, since it never existed outside of the server's data.

  10. No, that's not related at all. Also, I can type *some* languages into the chatbox, but not all, it's a limitation of the input system.
  11. The issue with that is the way the game is designed, you can't have multiple languages active on a server at the same time. You can translate the UI elements, but not NPC text, Mission Dialogs etc. The server sends the client all text, and it has to send *everyone* the same text. Changing that would require changes DEEP inside the server and client code.
  12. What issues are you having? The tool should work fine under Wine, even more so now that I removed the browser control.
  13. Are you trying to login with your Forum credentials? The error dialog specifically calls out to use your game credentials. I don't see a game account created on this forum account, go here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/account/ And create a game account and password.
  14. Can you give any more details on this? Even cloaked into a normal user I can edit mods with no issue. Which mod is it, and what are you trying to change that isn't saving?
  15. The wiki needs updating. The bug option was removed, bug reports are to be reported here on the forums unless it's an exploit and then you use the Exploits and Cheating option.
  16. This should be fixed, when I moved the files to ids instead of names, I missed all of that user's mods. They were in '0' for Imported. Please let me know if you find more.
  17. This should be fixed, I missed a couple of places when I refactored the backend to use IDs instead of usernames everywhere. I didn't notice... because I have permission to edit a mod without passing the "isAuthor" check.
  18. No, FoW files are keyed to each character in the binary data of the file. Could SOMEONE MAYBE figure that out? Sure. Am I? No. And it won't be as easy as installing a mod.
  19. Beta has been up for going on 2 hours now. I'm not sure why they show down on the server status block. But this is still "later today".
  20. This was changed to be done automatically semi-recently, the tool only officially supports the Homecoming launcher now. I can't reproduce this on either a new install of the installer, or an existing install. I've pushed an update to maybe try to get more information if this happens, re-launch the installer, let it update, and try this again.
  21. None of that has anything to do with the modder, and wouldn't effect it in any way. The tool doesn't even depend on your HC install, so reinstalling won't make any difference. Something has broken your .Net Framework install, apparently enough to break multiple versions of it. Sadly I don't have any real troubleshooting I can offer you with that.
  22. This change doesn't effect us in any way, even on our 32 bit client. This change is 100% ONLY Hardware PhysX, which as I said we don't use anyway.
  23. The client is 64bit yes, but we still don't use the hardware physx APIs, only software.
  24. That's confusing as you can download the actual zip, why would it time out when loading the mod data? Also absolutely NONE of that code has changed in a while...
  25. I just pushed out an update removing the WebBrowser control and replacing it with a Rich Text Box. It won't look quiet as nice, but it's actually functional (In theory). Please let me know if updating.
