  1. You have 16GB of RAM, but you're on a 32 Bit OS, which limits your total RAM to a MAXIMUM of 4GB. However you are limited yet again to 3GB (2.98GB) Likely due to something like onboard video reserving RAM (yes, even with a dedicated GPU, if the onboard GPU is left enabled it will steal RAM). You REALLY need to not be on a 32bit OS, you're not able to use 75% of your installed memory, Windows 7 x64 can be found in a number of places, for a range of prices. If you 100% can not get to a 64bit version of Windows try the following instructions: In a command prompt started as administrator paste: bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2560 and reboot. If you have issues with that same process, command prompt as administrator paste: bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa, and reboot to disable the flag. By default, 32bit Windows is limited to 2GB of Memory per user process, the above commands allow you to use up to 2560 MB, you can go higher but with your limited RAM (2.98GB), I wouldn't go any higher than that.
  2. I've locked this thread because this version of VidiotMaps is no longer maintained / updated. Please use the thread linked directly above for the newest versions of VidiotMaps.
  3. You have Vidiot Maps / the popmenu installed into the Data directory as loose files, which is why they work when the .piggs are removed. You'll need to rename / remove the data directory. As for your error, something is blocking the download / write of the .pigg files to the directory, I currently have no way to support Mac OS, (Also, the launch parameter should only need to be -assetpath assets\mods) I'm assuming there is some permissions error writing the file out to the path, but again, I have no idea how to fix that with MacOS / Wine.
  4. The error you posted means that the file did not fully download for some reason. I am working on an update to detect download issues and not leave behind broken files which cause this error. Glad you got it sorted though, in the future, if you see that error, uninstalling the referenced mod is usually enough.
  5. Yes, it has already been updated. You can grab it here https://mods.cityofheroes.dev/mod/9 Use the "Manual Download" if you're not running the mod installer.
  6. Make sure to follow the directions in the original post of the mod installer: Specifically the "Add to Launcher" -> Whichever launcher you're using. You'll need to make sure whichever launcher you use is closed, do this, and then re-open the launcher. If mods still don't work, in the Mod Installer select Tools -> Upload Support Bundle, and use your Forum name.
  7. "Old files" are the loose .texture files in the data directory. These files still override the files loaded via the mod installer. The only thing I keep in my data directory anymore are personal popmenus that no one else would want.
  8. "Everybody has a testing environment. Some people are lucky enough enough to have a totally separate environment to run production in."
  9. If you're launching the game via Tequila or some other 3rd party launcher those settings will not persist. You'll need to switch to the Homecoming Launcher, 3rd party launcher support has been deprecated for quiet a while now.
  10. The access denied errors were fixed when I posted the edit to this post Any mods installed or updated between yesterday and today before I posted that would have been broken, and wouldn't have actually downloaded the file. This would have required uninstalling the mod via the tool, and reinstalling, as I said in that edit.
  11. Corrupt file warnings are *usually* the result of something blocking the installer from downloading files. Check your AV and / or Firewall and see if you need to whitelist the install tool.
  12. Correct, the fix was 100% server sided. I added a feature for the next version of the tool... in my production environment for easier testing as my dev environment is tied up. Not realizing this would break production ._.
  13. Yeah.. so in adding support for this I broke updating mods.. this SHOULD be resolved now, at least it works for me.
  14. Something to note here, the "Read Only" checkbox on folders has not worked since... Windows XP Microsoft Support Link However: "Note Unlike the Read-only attribute for a file, the Read-only attribute for a folder is typically ignored by Windows, Windows components and accessories, and other programs." So the Read Only attribute is ignored, and the checkbox is useless on folders. Now with that out of the way, I THINK I may see what the issue is, however I have NO idea why this would suddenly stop working... I'll take a look on my end and report when I've figured it out. AAAAAND 30 seconds later, the issue should be fixed. You'll have to remove any mods you've installed OR updated since yesterday, and reinstall them. This happened because I was getting ready to change how the installer loaded mod data, and inadvertently broke the XML it produced.
  15. Because why update many files, when one file is easier? But really it's because the dev team stated that loading files from piggs is faster, and better from the game's perspective than the data overrides. It also makes managing them MUCH easier want to remove a specific mod, but don't remember what all it modded? Go find your original zip, find EVERY file it touches, and go manually removing it.
  16. The data directory is in the root of your game install, and is not related to the mod installer at all, which is why I asked about it separately.
  17. Any mods installed? Anything in your Data directory? If so remove/rename the data directory, and if you have mods remove the -assetpath assets/mods from your game launcher.
  18. I moved your post into the thread for the mod installer. The error message states "Access to the path 'C:\Games\Homecoming\assets\mods\' is denied." Something is denying write access to that path, either permissions, Antivirus, or... cosmic entity.
  19. Go to the mods site you've got linked there, find the mod you want to update, click on the link for it to go to the mod page, you should see something like the attached image. the "Manual Download: Install" link is what you want to click to download the .pigg.
  20. Just click the "Manual Download: Install" link to download the pigg directly.
  21. I should add File Validation to the installer...
  22. When a mod is updated for the installer the mod will be highlighted in the installed mod list, and you'll get an update button in the Mod Installer that will update it for you.
  23. Victory (The tiiiny server I run, with the same codebase as HC) will be merging into Homecoming soon, as a 6th shard, and it will be keeping its name.
  24. Please use Tools -> Upload Support Bundle and use your Forum name in the dialog that pops up. Though I'd put money on a permissions issue.
  25. The pack is exactly as it was on Live, back then both Defense and Resist used the same icon. I've not updated it for the change that happened before Homecoming.
