It works well, he spams hold and gives good control. Seems to be a nice compliment to the others. I don't have numbers, but anecdotally playing it seems good.

I've tried the same build in Mids Reborn with Mace Mastery instead of Ice. It is technically better, but I'm not sure if it's thematically as pleasing.

Great feedback, thanks. I'm relatively inexperienced with MMs - I had a Thugs/Poison on Live but that was about it. An immediate response is, I've been quite successful up until now, usually I let my pets go in and take aggro but I sleet the conflict point and then use my debuffs to help them. It's worked well. I've chosen Chill for thematic reasons. I'm not wedded to it intrinsically - but I do like it. I'm open to suggestiopns of good alternatives. I've worked on a third build (not posted here) swapping out FoW for Fighting I was using Cardiac when I realised I'd got some slotting wrong and suffered End issues. I actually have Musculature as my main Alpha. Again, thanks for the commentary. I will post my new build shortly and hopefully get some more feedback.

So a bit of an update here; I was reminded that Stealth powers and MMs don't go well together. That caused me to respec and I've found that's evened out my defences and works a little better but I also took Mighty Leap - I was slow getting around even with void skiff and a jet pack. But that has no synergy and I do like hover. That's worked well in combat and conceptual terms too. So I'm a little stuck and I'd appreciate help. I do like Force of Will as a pool. Weaken Resolve seems to be a good debuff and Unleash Potential makes for a handy "OHSHIT!" button but I think we could do better. I'd really appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks.

Dr Stephen Tinchbourne, once a celebrated surgeon, but struck off for malpractice following the death of three patients in suspicious circumstances, due to his alleged negligence. His life in tatters and reputation shot he was forced to seek work in the Rogue Isles, patching up the local scum and low lives for a pittance. Then an argument with one of his badly wounded patients, a highly regarded Hellion, who'd run afoul of some supers. Tinchbourne saved his life, but couldn't fix the life-changing injuries of his Hellion patient. Seems that wasn't good enough for the Hellions. They arranged for a mysterious witch to curse him one night as he worked alone in his makeshift theatre. Never mind he saved a Boss' life, he couldn't work miracles so he was cursed to continually bleed when he practices surgery. Now he's back, seeking revenge, trying to find the witch that cursed him, the people that arranged it and get it lifted, by any means necessary. Hellions, witches, and any scum who cross his path would do very well to fear the wrath of The Traumaturgist -

So tonight I completeyed Numina & Synapse to get the final two badges for the TF accolade on Slay Belle. She is an unashamed Rogue but I ddin't get the accolade, though the bar for it is full. Do I need to be a Hero or Vigilante to get it? What is even weirder, that having run those two missions, at the end of Synapse, I got the Abomination badge. That tells me that the Vahzilok fear me. That is, of course, splendid and makes me glad to know, they should of course. But it does seem to rather lack context, given that I don't think I'd seen any this evening. There seems to be a disconnect here. Is it a bug or am I missing something weird?

The fact that point was made a finite number of times proves that the time loop itself is not infinite. I suggest we nerf infinity to resolve this issue.

Server Merger Needed to Sustain Playerbase

Back in the day, before the EU and NA communities were married together, there was a continual cry on the EU forums of "Merge teh servers", specifically Union and Defiant. It was claimed by these posters that the server populations were too small to be sustainable, and that failing to merge them would cause the Dooooooooooooooooom(tm) for the game. This continued despite reasonable responses from official community leads. Then of course the two communities became as one and much cross fertilization happened (sometimes in real life, I'm led to believe but that's a different story) and that argument went rather quiet those who felt they needed to find higher populations moved to places where they had more "Freedom" and could find Virtuous lesbian cat gurls etc. But apparently, it turned out that the numbers for Union and Defiant had not been far behind either of the two main servers all along. Sometimes, Union even became the most populous in terms of concurrent numbers. What was noticeable was that those who seemed to want servers to merge at that time seemed very reluctant to take part in community events and efforts. That in turn prompted me to suspect that the issue isn't server population, but how players engage with said population. I haven't ever felt it to be too difficult to find a team even on "slow" days. The one caveat I'd make with that is the criteria for the magic dots that say how busy a server is seems to be slightly confusing and it would generally be better just to have an "on" or "off" setting and in emergencies a "very high load" but those are very much first world problems. -
It clearly does seem to be an issue. I've tried to slot Cloud Senses into it. Mid's Reborn claims it's allowable. Weaken Resolve is tagged as accepting Accurate Defense Debuff in game and it would seem very strange not to have a targetted power that wouldn't accept such an enhancement. I believe this is a bug, rather than mistagging.

I love both but I think in terms of keeping your pets alive Cold has the better shields. Storm is great but when your pets are attacking, it has less to offer than Cold. The caveat is what suits your play style best so why not try both? -

I disagree. The fan base made a huge noise in 2012 when closure was announced, and anyone in a serious position of power would know that. When they set up a specific email receive complaints, they knew there was a lot of upset happening. The very fact that those at the top continued to shutter a popular (in the West) and profitable game that was making them money demonstrates amply this was not a rational business decision but one borne of arrogance and a message of paternalistic contempt for its customers.

Oh trust me I know all there is to know about altoholsim! But my question stands. Say you pass over 100 mill out of your 2billion, to a new alt, that's more than enough to get your new toon started and then hey presto, Supernewguy is kitted out as you'd want him/her in short order using the above method while OriginalToon 1 goes about doing what s/he always did and gets back up to 2 bill again. Seems that once you have 2 billion, if you're playing at all and not just making a ton of new alts, you won't realistically need more.
