you would need to give the dual support some attacks initially and maybe optional pool powers would help. I would expect their APPP to be more attacking than most simply to make up the deficit.

Well I was more thinking of the APP/PPP with the third option Yes I looked in Mids and figured that was a likely possible combo but I wanted to ensure. It's made me wonder if there's scope for a "Super(de)buffer" - an AT with two power sets aimed at support, but I fear they would be too potent on a good team. Imagine having 4 of them and a Blaster and Brute.

I was half-heartedly following a conversation in chat the other night and somebody suggested Sleet and Melt Armor as a wicked combo and I just wanted to play a toon that had both those powers. My instincts tell me it's not possible, but I've always been attracted to the notion of an AT that offers two support sets in one avatar. Even more so if you could add Poison into the mix 🙂

A lot would depend on when in live you played, to what level, and what content you were trying to play. But the short answer is almost certainly "quite readily"

The more I read this thread and the more I reread the OPs missive I can't help but feel that he wants to control all the things like one allegedly could back in Issue 3. Game has changed. It allows all ATs to contribute in meaningful ways rather than "I'm herding to here" mentalities. Tanks today are pretty well where they should be in a functioning team. Here's a nice tune

I've always found Hyperbole very underwhelming. In fact on many toons I usually skip it, since it almost always fails to do what I want it to. It promises so much, and delivers so little, especially on the ATs that do damage.

I often take stealth - not least because it's a useful mule for an LotG Global Rech - and then shove a stealth IO in to one of the Prestige Sprints. I find those work fine in almost all instances - and if they don't I'm probably out of my depth anyhow

I'd be happy with just two costume options - one, helmet on, two, helmet off for the VEATs and then customise the rest. It does seem that when VEATS were created the costume options weren't properly thought through

I think it's important to remember that the internet and online life is significantly more mature than it was when SGs were introduced - Facebook, Social Media and especially Discord have been game changers for building communities. The SG as originally conceived was designed for friends to play together but since then other ways to play have superceded the SG in many ways. But, as MP3s came along, vinyl and cassettes didn't just go obsolete, and still have their fans and purposes. People can still form SGs and do all the things SGs do - including have shiny costumes looking alike if wanted. But we should remember that life moves on and we have to adapt. Perhaps the better question is what do you want to make your SG? Nothing is stopping you for running one old school or you simply can own it as a storage dump. No wrong answers.

They can continue to be a foil even if that loose end is tied up and I would argue gives greater scope to improve their ongoing story. I do agree with your latter point - much depends on the dev team, their existing plans and available time.

Water/Rad corrupter

You can meet those requirements pretty easily all ways round - but I think what I want to know before suggesting anything is what is your regular playstyle? What do you enjoy most? If you want to be in the thick of things, then you probably want a tank/brute. If you want something flexible and mobile a Widow or SoA is a very good option (when going SoA just continue the centre path ignoring the Crab/Bane) If you want to be mobile, useful on teams and quite handy solo a controller is a good option (yes most have pets but they are largely fire and forget) and I would recommend Plant or Ice as primaries, secondaries depending on your taste. Sentinels... well I've heard they are pretty close to what you want but my experience of them has been they are pretty boring but you may think differently. As others have pointed out there are always going to be weaknesses to any AT - that's part of the beauty of this game - so you will always have to compromise and mitigate. The real question is how do you want to play?
