Infiltration... what the absolute frack is it?
Scarlet Shocker replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion

are you certain you're not just teaming with Snarky?
-
I believe you can adjust it in settings but even when I've done so I often lose it especially during active fights with lots of stuff happening. I've had this problem since Day 1 in 2006 when I started now I just learn to live with it

Infiltration... what the absolute frack is it?

... then you can run faster, still have stealth, and you've got a useful mule for an LotG. It's a nice to have, not an essential. If you fly all the time, then it's probably of less use to you but if we take out all the snarkless powers in game we'd have a much more limited set. Your mileage is clearly different to others - which is not only ok, it makes the game more interesting. -
You know those two aren't mutually exclusive (so I'm reliably informed) right? Also you're supposed to punctuate short comparative sentences such as the one above with "Jim", inserted between the two phrases just for good measure.

Wait... you only learned to use a desktop PC when Going Rogue came out? 🤯

I support this. I'd also like an additonal mask aura that is stronger and more visible.

Favorite Flavor of Defender Teamate
Scarlet Shocker replied to PhotriusPyrelus's topic in General Discussion
I'm old and I haven't outgrown this game. I reject that hypothesis! 🤣 I prefer Defenders which debuff rather than buff, simply because the best mode of defence is a dead antagonist. If they are laying on the deck they aren't likely to hurt you. It doesn't matter how good your own defenders are, a live enemy can still splatter you across the floorboards and send you back to the hospital. Reduce your enemy's uptime and win! -
No clue either. Potentially useful

I've never noticed that. When I first started I made my characters super tall and Scarlet is probably the tallest at over 7' That wasn't intentional, more about not understanding the scales in the CC... but having played Scarlet all that time when I came to recreate her here I felt like she had to continue to be tall. I've never noticed a huge disparity between environments except as some have said of base items, but given the complexity of actually sitting down it's rarely an actual problem.

End game 1-4 star content AT/Powerset optimization
Scarlet Shocker replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Go right ahead. I'm playing the game my way not the way you think I should. I have more fun that way -
one of my all time favourite toons is my SoA; Huntsman Strauss (his name was a taunt to our CC Ghost Raptor at the time - if you know him or I you'll understand why.) On my mandatory respec I took him centre path to be bog standard, avoiding Bane and Crab, essentially a hard as nails low level Arachnos goon - and he excels at that, delivering a sea of orange numbers with some good controls and excellent mitigation. I've since made a crab that was entirely forgettable. The only thing Strauss is missing is a decent hold. I've solo'd IT on him and most of LGTF but was thwarted by the need to hold Mitos at weakened Hami but he is very good for tough content. Highly enjoyable and great to play solo or team.

End game 1-4 star content AT/Powerset optimization

You seem to be operating under the misapprehension that there is only one way to play this game at tougher levels. -
Better get a bucket the Void Skiff is probably as close as you're gonna get

well that certainly fits in the TYDKYDK category. I didn't know there were Channel Islands in the US I was actually referencing the ones in the English Channel (the clue is in the name) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_Islands So I guess we've all learned a bit today!

Welcome -
Makes it easier for newer players, and there's a new exploration badge at starting points, so reducing the burden. That's the theory at any rate and it seems to have been received well. I think it's important to remember that the game made us travel a lot in the early days as a way of taking time out of playing the content - you were still playing the game running from Atlas to Steel Canyon tailor, for example but you weren't rushing through content that took time and development resources. That is no longer the case and so it makes a lot more sense to give players the ability to get to the content they want to play, as quickly as possible, is an inherently sensible option and picking up 10 explore badges is a quick, sensible solution that allows even players who aren't invested in looking "under the hood" (ie spending time on forums etc) to get the accolade quickly and easily.

The Shard I mostly play on these days is Indomitable. Nice threads by the way. You put some work into that costume, I can tell

List of task forces and trials with completion times?
Scarlet Shocker replied to BlackSpectre's topic in General Discussion
Good question. Data is all over the place and it took me a while* to compile but I think I've come up with a good approximation. Hope this helps *20 seconds, tops -
