That's what I'm doing these days (though I haven't found a super tough build I'm in love with yet). I also have a build for exemping and a maxed out 50 build.

How tanky are these? I have a Rad/TW IO'd out that is super super tanky, but am interested in testing the Rad/SS proc build for damage. I can tank ITF and Miss Liberty like a breeze with the one I have now but am super interested to see if this build stands up to the tankyness with all the damage. Mostly because Momentum sucks...
I have no problem tanking just about anything in the game. Something that I think is vastly underrated is the use of inspirations. On a +4 MLTF I'll use a purple or 2 when I tank Lord Recluse. No biggie and that tough enough mentality allows me to do a sick amount of damage. I will say with the changes to the yellow pylon on MLTF you need to go in ahead of your team to get Recluse's attention, because he's harder to hit and this build doesn't run taunt. Also, something to note, is that you have to keep an eye on your end because you use a lot (especially if running double rage) and you'll crash if you aren't paying attention.

Elec Blast is definitely a better set on Sentinels than it is on Blasters. If you properly proc out Tesla Cage and Dominate (Psi Mastery) you will not be lacking for ST damage at all on a Sentinel. In fact it would probably be at least comparable recycling them with Zapping Bolt. While Thunderous Blast won't hit the spike damage of blaster, it is up twice as often, albeit affecting fewer targets.
Sentinels are always a trade-off on spike damage and number targets in terms of AoE. That said, a blaster recycling Lightning Bolt, Zapp, and their version on Tesla Cage (procced) would probably be outdone by a Sentinel with advanced slotting who takes Psi Mastery.
I have both an Elec3 Sentinel and an Elec3 Blaster and far far FAR prefer the Sentinel. It's a much more complete build.
Would you happen to have a build @CaptTastic? Sounds fun!

I'm seriously disgusted at this. Damn thing soloed Posi 1 and 2 at 0x8, with Posi 2 finishing in 45 minutes. That was faster than my Fire Armor/Stone Melee who has Burn and did it in 46 minutes and that I had made a thread giving an impressed nod.
Then I tried Yin since it left that super low level zone where Fury is OP and at +1x8 it was still soloed in 43 minutes. Again, faster than the Fire/Stone who now had access to Tremor on top of Burn.
But as further insult I was blinking at the speed I was going through mobs and decided that despite not yet having Earth's Embrace/Rooted slotted to stop using inspirations to not skew things, so unlike the Tanker I was not stuffed in purples and reds and whatever else dropped. The only moment I used inspirations was to tackle Yin who debuffed me faster than my downleveled DDR could stop so a medium purple to tackle her and the ambush at the same time.
Even so 43 minutes. And super safe (no inspirations used after all). The upside of a Tanker having more HP gets shut down by Earth's Embrace pushing HP to 3k something once at max level. Not capped but a fat bonus that needs to be ablated.
For all of the spreadsheet and talks the chunks taken out of the AV (without benefit of reds, Fiery Embrace, Burn, or Brimstone) makes my Tanker green with envy, and Brutes who are supposed to be squishier simply are not with Stone Armor being strong as it is.
Despite having slotted all but one of the recovery uniques as well as having slotted both IOs in Stamina and Crystal Armor the endurance keeps on going down (currently 3.26 EPS) and there is still Brimstone, Tough, Weave, and Focused Accuracy to come so it's a tad worrying for someone used to Consume.
For now I use Recovery Serums once my blue bar dips under 20% and it's always available by the time it has returned to 20%. Considering how cheap Recovery Serums are and how it's just the leveling phase I'll carry on doing it and then see how the build behaves at max level with accolades and Musculature 33%.
I'll drop the build here though I don't know how correct it is because of Mids being currently borked. I know the HP bonus, recovery, and stats in many attacks are simply not working or doing double than what they ought, but the IO bonuses seem to be working so I pushed for the usual goals and will revisit when Mids has been fixed.

If I an trying to solo +4/8 then yeah I can see wanting to go that path but I made a /kin to team and I haven't had any major issues with pet survival. If one or two doggos die to a hard hit I'm a sad panda for a second and then I just re-summon them mid combat. Team buffs and aggro redirect usually means no additional doggos die. I'm level 40 right now but I do have my IO slotted and last night I found myself soloing a few even con x8 spawns on a citadel with no issue.
I generally don't set pet AI to aggressive, I find that is a good way for pets to aggro half the map. I focus fire and direct all my pets to 1 target at a time through call hawk, and I bind increase density to petcomall follow defensive.
I do have my sprint bound to petcomall follow aggressive. But one thing I noticed is that when I change pet ai behavior to aggressive it takes about 10 seconds for the pets to actually change behavior and auto attack nearby targets, not sure if this is WAI or a bug.
I'm really enjoying this build! Could you unpack the reasoning behind Melee Hybrid for me? It's the only thing I didn't 100% understand (mostly because I've never used it). Is it for the self status protection?

Masterclass for BR/Dev right here. Actually, in the late game, I end up respeccing out of Trip Mines and slot Caltrops up a ton with procs. It actually works better for steamrolling teams I've found. Fast cast, great proc's and Bonfire to boot.
mind sharing your build? -
Does anyone have a plant/nature build they would be willing to share?

Interested in creating a hover blaster and working mostly at range. What are some good combinations for that? Bonus points if you share your build. Thanks!

@CroaxI'm loving your build! The single target attack chain works really well. What does your attack chain looks like when aoe is added in? Or do you just down enemies one at a time?
-
Here's the one I run by @Gobbledegook. I absolutely love it.

@Bopper I'd also love to see the updated build!

Thanks for the info! No specific issues, just having a hard time deciding which powers should be in my regular rotation. First time on a controller and they have *lots* of power.

This looks pretty solid, but I'd highly encourage trying to get Hurl Boulder in there as your last power pick. If you think you can get away with not using Tactics, then swap that placement with Combat Jumping and use the last slot for Hurl, or consider tossing out Volcanic Gasses. Even in best-case scenario, that power will still take 70/s recharge, and in my experience that tends to end up making a power something people glaze over because it has such a long timer. It's not a bad power, it is a great "oh crap" utility with a ton of bonus damage with the procs, but do evaluate your use of the ability. If you end up leaving it on the shelf more than pouring it over your enemies, maybe skipping that bottle of awesome is in order.
If you swapped out Tactics and Volcanic for Thunderclap and Hurl Boulder, you have plenty of slots to toy with in the result, and Thunderclap would give you an ability to stack disorients on Stalagmites so it'll double-up to Mag 5 and kick out lieuts and less-resisted bosses, which'll be just like a Hold effect for you at that point. In fact, a 4-set of Overpowering Presence with the Energy Font proc is a great way to manipulate Thunderclap, get your "hold" effect on faster notice, and keep some of the damage aspect by summoning a Font every 13 seconds.
And, as for the whole Hurl Boulder thing, the reason I'm suggesting this is because you're going to have scenarios where you've only got a few meandering targets left, or heavy ST left overs like Bosses/EB/AV that popping proc-heavy AoE's isn't going to be effecient, and thus leave you with a lot of extra down time in between casts on Tornado/FR/LS. Seismic and Fossilize will have heavy gaps to deal with, and Hurl fills it well, and allows you to keep cycling FF+Rech procs. This is a really big deal because that proc helps keep your Tornado/FR/LS coming up faster, and Hurl has a sizable recharge, and animation time, so your probability will still be decent.

You should take a closer look at what Avilister is working towards. Your build sacrifices a ton of opportunity and doesn't have nearly the same level of damage capability. All those procs you have committed to Freezing Rain and Earthquake, as the game currently stands, are doing (basically) nothing. It's a fault of the game algorithm on rain type powers, and the patch abilities like earthquake, ice slick, and quicksand. You'd also get a lot of extra mileage out of your Storm abilities by getting a few Force Feedback +Rech procs in the build too.
Build higher global recharge bonuses and take your excess recharge enhancements out of your abilities and you'll get a significant increase in proc performance as well. That extra enhancement lowers your probability and negatively impacts anything with a 30/s or lower base recharge. Seismic Smash, when set up as a fully loaded Proc power, will hit for 500 points on its own. It's all about global bonuses, boosted ToHit to offset slotting limitations, and loading up on Procs. Controllers get a lot of mileage out of it.
@Sir Myshkin where would you be leaning for incarnates on this build? Having a lot of fun with it (even though I'm also trying to figure out controllers for the first time, lol).

Hey folks! Playing my first real controller and I'm having some trouble learning the ropes. Got any tips you can give me? Like what does your attack chain look like? How's the infamous storm herding work? What powers are you always gonna throw down and which ones are situational? What looks different solo vs. grouped? I've attached the build I'm using (found elsewhere on the forums) if that matters. I look forward to all of your suggestions!

I have binds in the first post of this thread.
I am! I’ll be sure to check out yours as well.
Would some one be so kind and post a End game Rad/SS tank build.

My build experience is with incarnates, but none of them add to my end. With Radiation Therapy end is only a problem if I'm hitting all my buttons, don't have a crowd to fill with Radiation Therapy and am not paying attention. I also keep Recovery Serum in case I need it. I'm running the following:
Alpha - Musculature Core Paragon
Interface - Reactive Radial Radial Flawless Interface
Judgement - To taste.
Destiny -Rebirth Radial Ephipany
Lore - To taste.
Hybrid - Assault Radial Embodiment.
