  1. Can we have this pinned/starred? This response is too good to be buried on Page 7 of the comments. I think everyone should read it.
  2. Thats a common occurrence with DoTs in the game
  3. The same argument wouldve been had if Teleport Friend was merged into Teleport Foe and gained Combat Teleport. Either way, one was going to have to go. But you were given a free respec to accommodate the undesired change.
  4. It is standard for cones to only hit 5, even the large Titan Weapons sized cones. The only reason Shadow Maul was given a 10 tgt cap was as a temporary solution until another AoE could be added to dark melee. That came in the form of Touch of Fear. Despite anyone's opinion of Touch of Fear, Shadow Maul's band-aid of being a 10 tgt cap cone was coming to an end.
  5. We are a ways away from another release for Mids, but in the mean time there are still unofficial updates being made on MRBU. To date, some things added are: I will unlock this thread. Feel free to try out the DB updates. Keep in mind, they are unofficial so backup your local copy just in case you want/need to revert. Feel free to let me know of any issues, however there is no guarantee fixes will come as our top priority is to work on the new version of Mids. This was a quick patch job I did to address some of the major changes that came in Issue 27. If I get time, I'll try to sweep Blaster Support updates, and maybe a few other power changes. Teleportation maybe after that, but we'll see. Link to the lastest unofficial changes to the Mids DataBase: https://github.com/Reborn-Team/Hero-Designer-DB/tree/master/ WARNING These updates are unofficial so update at your own risk. It is HIGHLY advised that you back up your database before making these changes as I am really bad at computers and I am fully capable of breaking your Mids if you don't believe me. But seriously, make a backup copy. Also, if you made personal updates to your Mids database, these changes will overwrite them. So again, back up what you have just in case you wish to revert. Ok, warning sticker covered, now...what to you need to do? Go to the link I provided. Download the Data folder and the Images folder Replace your RebornTeam/Mids Reborn/Images and RebornTeam/Mids Reborn/Data folders with the new ones Hope Bopper didn't screw it up and enjoy the update to Mids For better instructions, read Felis' Install Instructions for how to do a Release Update manually. https://github.com/Reborn-Team/Hero-Designer-DB/blob/master/README.md
  6. Look for the AT and level you want to analyze. Let's assume a level 50 Blaster. It has a base value of 1.192. That means a scale 7 would multiple with 1.192 to give you your duration of immobilize. In this case, it would be 8.344s
  7. Does this help? http://web.archive.org/web/20161103145848/http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/powers/tables.php?mod=Ranged_Immobilize
  8. Wow. That is horrible. Hope they get better!
  9. The Slash command is a huge QoL for me. I like to play with both hands on the keyboard, so having to search for my mouse to drop a patch was a hassle.
  10. The sad irony, since Covid put me on teleworking in March, I was able to play and test daily. After 5 months of Beta testing i27, the day finally comes where I can play it on Live... and I'm stuck at work. Nonetheless, I hope everyone gets to enjoy it before I do 🙂
  11. My guess is it has to do with when the damage effect gets applied. At which point the timer starts on the proc. So if the damage is applied late in the animation you might get to fit 3 attacks in if they are quick enough, but that would be tough. You can use RubyRed's tool (link in signature) to find the animation hit time of powers.
  12. That seriously looks delicious. Just add pepperoni
  13. It was never supposed to be 1.17s. I dont know where you got that number from. Barrage doesn't do more damage. If you're looking up in game detailed info, barrage displays bad info. It is adding the fiery embrace damage when it shouldn't. This has been a known bug for a long time. The DPA of Bone Smasher is still better than Barrage and is slightly better than Energy Punch (when you factor in arcanatime)
  14. I made two Trick Arrow Defenders and an Energy Melee stalker weeks ago, so I plan to level them up and get them kitted
  15. That is certainly a problem I have. I don't use the Forums enough.
  16. My discord is not official. It was my pet project to try to help streamline beta testing by opening up improved collaboration tools. My link was posted in my post. It was also posted on various channels of the official HC Discord when I was recruiting. I'm sorry you missed my post. I bumped it a few times the first week of beta testing. Perhaps you joined beta testing only recently. I can't say. Hopefully missing out on seeing it did not prevent you from being able to test on Beta and provide feedback on the forums.
  17. Does it matter if they know or not? If you found either Discord or the Forums, you have a voice to the developers. But if folks didn't know, ill happily point to the front page of the forums with the links to their Discord
  18. There doesn't have to be. Homecoming has always used both the Forums and Discord. Anyone who follows the Weekly Discussion thread knows that. People don't have to use the discord that I set up. The forums are already there. The devs read every single post. So all words are seen. The purpose of my discord was to make it easier for testers to collaborate. When something needed testing, you quickly might get 4 or 5 people to hop on to test it. If you wanted to make a team to bug test the new arcs, you could quickly coordinate that. You can do these things on the Forums too, but I think it was easier to do on discord. It also allowed me to organize everything that I had to offer testers. When a new beta patch dropped, I provided updated JSON power files (thank you RubyRed). I was also able to update with my Homecoming of Data tool to provide quick to find details of each powers damage, DPA, etc. I also was able to write up testing to-do lists to streamline finding bugs or verifying bug fixes. Yesterday I did that on the forums and got crickets. So doing it on discord was more fruitful for me. Why? Homecoming has always used discord. What is different now as opposed to 18+ months ago when Homecoming became public? HC has always been open to using both forums and discord as an avenue for discussion with the community. Some community members prefer one over the other. Taking one away would be a slap to the face of those members, as it would be taking away their voice.
  19. My prediction is 2-3 days. Barring a disaster, you'll be playing Issue 27 on Homecoming before Thanksgiving.
  20. Tuesday, probably
  21. This is a recent bug fix that only had half of the bug fixed. The scale should be 0.075 on both the show floaters and no floaters effects
  22. No, that capability is thanks to damage procs (such as perfect zinger) now require a To-Hit check even if slotted in an auto-hit power
  23. It was working correctly, however my guess is the motivation to change the power was tied to procs. The old version used the AoE of the power to calculate the proc probability of all the procs (damage set, fear set, etc). Also, the tohit debuff and fear procs would be checked against all targets in the AoE as opposed to the only target (MainTarget) that can be affected by fear and to-hit debuff effects. So this change addresses a few of those things. Now, only the To-Hit debuff and Fear set proxs can hit the MainTarget, but it should also use ST proc probability formula. The damage set procs will hit everyone and use the AoE proc probability formula. Finally, the Fear/To-Hit debuff effect regains its 1.2x accuracy modifier. It has this on live, but it was reduced to 1.0x when the power gained the AoE damage. Now, the fear/debuff effect has regained the 1.2x modifier, while the damage AoE keeps its 1.0x accuracy modifier
  24. I confirmed it still does 2 execute powers. So the testing ideas i provided above apply. I'm mostly curious about procs. Here's why. Main Power is an AoE with an area factor of 1.9. The power hits a target (MainTarget) automatically. It then calls a single target power that does the to-hit debuff amd fear. It also calls an AoE damage power that also has an Area Factor of 1.9. What we'd want to confirm is if procs for the single target power (fear, to-hit, accurate to-hit) can hit those in the damage AoE (it shouldn't) We want to confirm the damage procs for the AoE damage can't hit the MainTarget twice. We want to confirm the probability to proc the fear, to-hit and accurate to-hit procs uses an area factor of 1 (hopefully it doesn't use 1.9) We want to confirm the probability to proc the damage procs uses an area factor of 1.9 (hopefully it is not 1.9x1.9=3.61 nor 1.9+1.9=3.8)
  25. In that case, great question. I havent looked at this version yet, but previous build used 2 Execute powers, one doing a single target debuff and the other doing an AoE damage. I'll come back with info on the new power, but in the mean time I would say procs and enhancement slotting should be tested. Make sure enhancements work. Make sure alpha incarnates work. Make sure outside buffs work.
