Didn't you already tell everyone you were no longer participating in the last discussion thread about this base contest? A contest is about competing. All of the builders represented spent weeks, months, and at this point even years working on the bases they submitted. You saying it’s all elitism diminishes the hard work and effort put into the bases. If you’ve spent weeks, months, years on your base and still feel like you can’t compete, then reach out and ask for help. Ask for advice. Figure out what they do that your base lacks. Most of us will help. Even after you’ve insulted us.

Good start! Let's insult everyone for having a different opinion. Did you know that there are people who play this game who don't like to feel weak, that don't just slam through PI radios? Did you know that there is nothing wrong with people who spam PI Radios? Do you realize that PI Radio spamming IS replay? That's what people are doing. That's replay value. It's just not the kind that you like. That doesn't make it invalid. Baskin Robbins doesn't keep flavors that no one buys. They don't leave flavors tasting terrible. They fix flavors that aren't good. If customers don't buy a flavor, they get rid of it and replace it with something better. Zect has spoken. Praise God.

It'd change the power set to suck less probably. But no one would be happier.

1) It wasn't just about you. You just provided a good example. 2) Your post. I don't know how to quote multiple times with cited sources. 🙃 3) It is your tone though, even if you don't mean it to be. When you post lengthy breakdown responses to everything people say in a thread, that's the tone you set. And you must be aware of it, because you jokingly call yourself the forum cop.

Currently, you can't use spectrum gloves and boots with asymmetry turned on, or with sleeves from shirts, jackets, or trench coats, Or with pants on, No spectrum legs with shorts or kilts. I'm probably missing some other options where spectrum isn't available.

Deleting all of your posts doesn't hide all the times your posts were quoted. Good try though.

Do you read what you say before you send it? Do you realize how all of this applies to you? My last post in the Storm thread was on page 7. You're the one who kept thumping your chest for 27 pages. Sorry it upsets you when people don't agree with you. You incited a lot of the arguments in that thread. You came in and acted like your opinion was correct and insulted the people who you disagreed with. The frustration you felt is your own fault for having the hubris to believe that you know better. Maybe 27 pages of disagreements isn't whining. Maybe it's 27 pages of legitimate opinions and your contribution is being a contrarian and pretending you're better than us and riling people up.

And yet it's always the same few cheer leaders who come in to these threads and talk like they are the/an authority on the subject. Even when they admit They don't have much experience with the things being discussed. And they don't seem to realize that Their opinions are also subjective. For example you may think That if one person plays the powerset that it's a success, but that's your subjective opinion. Mine is that if they are going to spend time and effort on things, they should strive to make sure those things are good and used for longer than the 2 week rush when it's novel. If they are going to put things up for testing then they should listen to feedback, and not just dig their heels in. And if the answer is always going to be "we already tested this, this is final" then why put it out for the whole player base to test? It only serves to frustrate the people that aren't alpha testers who try to help make things better.

Seismic Blast, Symphony Control, Sonic Manipulation, Sonic Assault, Earth Manipulation, Electric Affinity. How often do you see any of these? Earth manipulation sometimes. It's forgettable but not bad. Electric Affinity is the only one I ever see.

What sets have the devs made that are actually good and used after the initial surge of excitement? Of the sets the Homecoming team made, the only one I can think of that is actually used and not underbaked and undertuned is Electric Affinity. People point out these sets are bad when they hit the beta servers, but we're told the alpha testers know better and to just take what we're given. Just push out the sets then. Letting the general population "test" without any actual influence only serves to annoy people.

Look around for Ink. He's my water/dark blaster. What's wrong with Touch from Beyond? Is it having to use it as part of a rotation? Not trying to be contrary, I just never had an issue with it but I could be missing something.

Oops you're right!

100% Agree with both of these. Hail Stones looks ridiculous and wimpy. Like a cartoon rain cloud that follows a sad character around. It doesn't look powerful at all. Aww man. They used hailstoned on me... What a drag.

Cool, thanks for clarifying! Sorry I have a hard time hearing you when you're up there on your high horse. The posts were all saying it takes knockback sets. Which means absolutely nothing when hurricane also takes knockback sets, can be slotted with KB>KD, and still repels.
-
Does the KB>KD conversion work on repel? It doesn't work on Ki Push or Hurricane's repel.
-
The devs added a knockback to knockdown conversion because knockback is such a hated effect. Pretty sure it's not just three people. Personally, I wouldn't have an issue with the set if it was just knockback in Jet Stream. But you can't convert repel to knockdown. You're still going to shove enemies away.

The one thing that feels off visually is Chain Lightning. Why are we creating all these clouds and storms that drop the damage down from the sky, then randomly creating a ball of lightning in our hands then chucking it up for a free throw? Make it come from the sky, or outward as a bolt, like the chain lightning from electric control
-
You're right. Too hyperbolic. The majority of players* What are you even talking about? It's not about numbers. It's about a mechanic that inconveniences every other player on your team when you use it. It's about not making melee players have to chase an enemy you threw across the room. It's about not making every kinetics ability miss everyone because you threw their target across the room. Not throwing enemies outside of a Faraday Cage where it's safer. It's about not making every power that gets a bonus for the amount of enemies in its radius less powerful. The game is designed for enemies to cluster up. Repel does the opposite.
-
"Be sure to use Storm Cell first to make this power not suck" or just make the power not suck to begin with.
-
Every single person in this thread who has said repel sucks has admitted they haven't tested it? I've tested it. Repel is bad. Repel sucks.
-
You're assuming no one has tested it. People are literally posting pictures of their test, to demonstrate why it's a bad mechanic.
-
When the whole playerbase (except for contrarians) dislikes something it's probably not a good thing to keep in the game.
-
Chain Lightning looks ridiculous.
-
One step closer to wind control, I guess.

Someone grabbed Arborean before I could. Rude. RIP.
