Um there seems to be a real problem with your numbers here. I just logged in and checked some stats of my own real quick. I have a base of 45% additional damage from bonuses already and 89% tohitt. Running into a standard 54x8 mob I dropped my Soul Drain on the group and with that I would do to 10 targets 170pts of damage not counting my purple set proc'ing. So right there in of itself pretty decent AoE damage to be had which pairs nicely with AoE your primary or secondary can provide. Having my combat log showing my base damage went from that 45% to 147%. So that's 102% increase, and I must have missed some targets because I've seen my Soul Drain boost me over 120% almost all the time that I have a bunch of targets. Not to be discounted also is that my tohitt gets boosted as well so I went from 89% to 120%. The boosts are more front loaded as well in consideration of such the event where you're fighting a solo AV so even when you do use Soul Drain in that instance you're still doing the damage and getting a decently good boost to damage and tohitt. AoE in general is under performing in instances where it's a solo target hence why Street Justice stalkers are better at those than say a TW scrapper, it doesn't mean either one is bad it just means the one has a slight edge but overall TW is the animal wrecking things on that team. So the same could be applied to Sleet, yes it's better in the instance where it's a prolonged solo fight but not that much better. Then lets look at the rest of the powers available in those epics. You have a defense shield for S/L and some cold resist, I already have capped defenses before any epic powers so defense does nothing for me here and even if it did I would want it to be Range, Melee and or AoE. So the resist shield you get from Soul is by default the better one for most and it gives resist to S/L/Neg/Tox. Then the only good other power in Ice Mastery is the heal which has at least double the recharge of Soul Drain, I can just use a medium green from my tray and get the same effect, talk about a power with minimal use. Another useful power in Soul is Dark Consumption, even with Perma-dom well built doms tend to run out of endurance faster than they would health and this power is a nice emergency to have with minimal slotting for maximum effect and as a bonus it still adds to your AoE damage. You want to talk about dps how about the boss pet you can also get from this pool. Then there's the bit about the recharge, almost every dom wants to build for perma-dom which means by default you're going to have great internal recharge slotted. My Soul Drain boost lasts for 30 seconds then goes away for 30 seconds and then I can have it right back again. I can keep going on but I think you get my point. Yes in an isolated prolonged instance sleet would be better to have but Soul Drain far outshines it in just about everything and then there's just so much more win in the Soul Mastery pool as a whole.

Oh I didn't mention I had done these solo, I can cap my Ranged, Melee and AoE defenses internally on my dom. But yeah you'll want to ease your way into these mobs and maybe rely a bit more on range than you may be used to.
-
Yeah I ran one of these solo a couple of times. Did pretty good the first time round after my first death and realized I'd have to switch things up a tad. I've got a zerging melee-centric playstyle but the EB's were nasty so I would have to slow up and be sure to confuse them first to make them my pets before I went ham on the group. Once the EBs were mine I'd then jump in with an AoE control and go to town with my damage. I run with capped defenses and high resists and even with my controls I'd still find myself having to retreat a bit to herd whomever I hadn't put under control from the start so I could see for certain who else I needed to engage in the moment. Typically I'd get 2/3 to 3/4 of the group under my thumb and the rest I'd hope the hammer dealt with them. Mesmerize is a fine power but I'd never use it since that activation time could be better used confusing someone. My best character is my Mind/Energy/Soul and yeah she got a good workout compared to most of the other mundane regular content. I have Mass Confusion, Total Domination and Terrify, typically anytime I play it I alternate Mass Confusion and Total Domination per mob and let Terrify fill in where I may have missed some control. The fights were a tad bit harder so I'd find myself using all my controls each mob as necessary and even popping Demonic from time to time. The one certain thing though was that the EBs must be yours or it'd get dicey. Soul Drain is a real big power if you can handle being in the heart of the storm. The hardest time I had doing one of these was more about the roaming mobs that'd show up from right around the corner when you're already engaged with another group or the roamers would roam their way to the mission entrance.

I was on an ITF once on my Street Justice stalker when half my team was debuffers and I was chewing down reds to cap my damage. I AS'd Romi for near 4.5k damage, kept seeing large chunks of his health going everytime I loaded up an attack. Afterwards I went back through the combat logs and copied that gem into my bio, nasty lil beasts stalkers are.
-
On my StJ stalker I do something different with the chance to hide ATO. I slot that set into Shin Breaker. My Attack chain starts off with AS from hide for some fantastic damage followed by Shin Breaker and that'll build you the Combo Points you need for the finisher in Uppercut and hopefully the hide proc'd for you so you're hitting with a nasty Uppercut from Hide. My secondary is SR and I have great recharge built in so I can typically get away with those 3 attacks in a chain occasionally throwing in an Initial Strike or Spinning Strike depending if there's a bunch of baddies around me or not.
-
I have a StJ/SR stalker, gotta say I agree with the others here praising SR with StJ. As a stalker halfway decently slotted you don't even need the t8 and t9 defense powers and you're still capped to everything. I slot my two toggles well and throw in a Gambler into each of the rest of the defense powers. It's a fantastic pairing in that it leaves you so much room to do other things with slotting and powers. With SR I've paired it with the Sorcery pool for Rune of Protection so I can get some nice high resists to go along with my capped defense should anything get through. The only thing missing is a heal which I'll give the nod to EA in that regard. You probably can't go wrong with Shield, SR, EA nor Bio at that. There's nothing really I have to say about StJ on a stalker. The damage is just crazy you'll run around with a bloodthirst like no other when you're on that stalker.

Yeah the flowing robes are great. There's quite a few costumes and accessories I'd like to see added but this is right at the top. This has to have been suggested every so often now but with this I see no harm in nudging them from time to time.
-
On the gloves and boots options there's a circle slightly off to the right, click that and it will then show a left and right option menu for them.

Wherever the wind may take you for the day.

6 slotted Gaussian's is the way to go. The bonuses are fantabulous and the build up proc is awesome. There's nowhere else really to slot a tohitt set and Gaussian 6 slotted is my drug of choice with tactics as well.
-
Yes I think this is something they are tinkering with for the next big update I believe. The awesomeness of boots and gloves being able to be mismatched had a lot of people suggesting that it'd be great if the shoulders were this way too. In that update thread I think it was insinuated that the devs found it logical to look into the shoulders being mismatched for the next update for costume pieces.

Mass Confusion, Total Domination and Terrify are more than enough AoE control, I'd drop Mass Hypnosis. Moonbeam is great. The best thing about /Dark is Life Drain, you should have that one, 3 slot with Nictus and 3 with Purple Range set, no need for Gloom. I'd lose the Leaping pool for either Sorcery for Rune of Protection or Force of Will for Unleash Potential, either of these powers are far superior to anything else you can pull out of the regular pools.

Reading that a target is stunned seems far too complex of a system to implement as opposed to reading the power you're activating internally and providing rolls based on that. Every Energy attack has a varying chance of building Energy Storage from 10% to 50% and TF at 100% chance, they're listed in power descriptions when you show details. Edit: I stand corrected about the percentages. I logged in game to see how its displayed on my Energy dom and there's nothing anywhere in the descriptions. Had to go back to the update last August to get where I had gotten my info. It's 20% for most attacks and 100% for TF August 27th Patch notes: New special mechanic. Most single target attacks have a 20% chance of granting Energy Focus mode. Hitting a foe with Total Focus will always grant Energy Focus mode.
-
The thing is with Energy Assault is that the attacks from Whirling Hands and after are so good that you can just run in with that strong melee then just finish everything off without moving your feet. Power Burst and Snipe are just fantastic finishers you don't even need to leave your spot you can just tab targets boom dead. Its pretty fun I feel like Hudson in Aliens without that falling through the floor bit "Come on you F'ers, you want some, oh you too, come on you want some of this!"
-
No they don't need to be stunned to build it hence why Bill is able to eventually build it with all of his ranged blasts. Every non-release attack has a small chance to build it stuns have no say in this where'd you read into it that they did?
-
TF is an easy to use one because it has a 100% chance (and great damage) to build Energy Storage, unless you used TF to build Energy within the last 10 seconds, indicated by the TF attack icon listed in your status bar for 10 seconds, which then you can't build it that way until the icon goes away. Any other power in Energy Assault that isn't designated as an Energy Release power can also build Energy but at a much lower chance. So Bone Smasher, Whirling Hands and Power Burst release and all the other attacks have a slight chance to build up energy with TF being 100% chance. Once you TF a target and then release that nasty Whirling Hands on a group and watch them crumple you'll thirst to always want to execute that chain. I cut my teeth with the revamp to Energy Assault on a Grav/Nrg dom, you're missing out playing it exclusively at range.

I like how snipes are currently, there's much better use of them in the fight now and I'd venture to say there's more for how it is now than against. But I would offer to suggest with that new pvp snipe set they made, maybe they could reverse what the proc does, it will allow you to have the long version of the snipe and cancels out the insta-snipe. Not sure how many people use this new set I still see Manticore as the superior set and that proc as it is now is redundant. Think that set would get a lot more use and that proc in general would provide variety for those who are more in your boat. There might be some fallout with how it works in pvp though so maybe revamping another snipe set with this yang version of the proc may be the way to go. Either way win win for everyone I'd think. PS: Btw it seems I post quite frequently right after you. Don't mean to but I have an orange cat that stalks me all day so I guess I'm just used to seeing an orange cat and having to say something.

Whatever Dominator you make my advice would be not to take too many of your primaries and secondaries, 5-6 powers from each should suffice . Build yourself up with the essentials and then build yourself with lots of pool powers. My doms I play like my tanks, be aggressive with your controls, your controls are your best defenses. Then while you have them locked down go to town with all you have.
-
Soul Mastery is my favorite epic. Soul Drain is fantastic your dps just skyrockets, you get a nice shield and there's an end drain to help with endurance issues if u have any.
-
I can help with two of the three choices. Don't have any experience with Savage though. For Mind I like to take Mesmerize, Dominate, Confuse, Total Domination and Mass Confusion at minimum and add a 3 slotted Terrify if room. I'll kit out Dominate with the full Ascendancy set since this is the control in my attack rotation so the proc buffs my damage. The 2 confuses I'll put in Malaise into the aoe since I'd doubtless be in the thick of the fight when I need it so the dmg proc is appreciated and the purple set into the ST confuse. The aoe hold I like to set out 5 of the purple control and add another proc if I have the slots. Terrify is another layer of control if I need it I'll set 3 of the other ATO with the pet proc which'll just about always fire. Mesmerize I don't slot except for an Apoc 50+5 dmg IO in case I need the psi dmg and it's another viable control on its own too. Ice I doubt I'd take as an epic but I'd take the shield, the heal and hibernate. The heal I'd put in a full set of Numina, the rest I'd be chasing the most effective bonuses.

Automatic Block Feature with Specific Phrasing

In that topic a few weeks ago I spoke up against that MOTD because it was setting a precedent in game where now, if you really did a deep dive into BLM, fringe ideals were going to be promoted so now would they allow counter arguments? On my console any game that had that messaging I uninstalled but I care about this one too much so I voiced my concern. That MOTD has since been removed in the last week if you hadn't noticed and I don't doubt there was good intent behind the team in this regard. It was a rush to say something so that they may not have been bullied into anything so I don't begrudge any missteps since the intent wasn't malicious. I think you're harping on something they've come to realize. -
There's a civilized way to talk about hot topics and a belligerent way, with the latter if you are warned to cool it then I'd advise doing so. If it's to continue then you risk a timeout at your own peril. I'm glad they didn't outright ban your IP but I saw your chat in game today and you are itching for one. Again take your timeout with some dignity and hopefully you get to play tomorrow.

I've got a few doms I've enjoyed, mostly Mind doms, the seamless use of all the different powers and the amount of control in the set just suits me to a T. I've been an old /Nrg player from the start of villains so when this revamp dropped, this fresh take on the secondary left me feeling no shame on how OP it now feels. My absolute fav character is my Mind/Nrg I know not everyone loves Mind control but Energy Assault (probably the other revamped sets as well) are a great pairing with anything, especially the newer sets like Plant and Dark.

I'm torn on this one. I totally get the market value side of the table. Before I knew what you could disallow for certain I'd looked into what you can disable as far as salvage at the p2w vendors for my characters that accumulate salvage at a fast pace. Every once in a while I'd go on a cleaning spree for my inventories but I've gotten myself situated to where I just enjoy playing. Since we can't block anything now I just leave my salvage tab red. But I know that this approach might not work someone not as well situated. I'd be for disabling common salvage with some feedback from those that wouldn't want this to be implemented.

Automatic Block Feature with Specific Phrasing
Mezmera replied to Zeraphia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Here's the crux of what I said. I'm in the camp of sure if it's tailor-able to the users preference sure what do I care what another wants to filter especially if its quick to enact by the dev team. But I really don't see it being as easy as snapping your fingers problem solved. There's tools already in place to help mitigate your user experience, this might just be a bigger rabbit hole than might be feasible. Certainly there's a profanity filter that would bleep out that word and if someone was determined to have it seen how many variations could they use to get around the filter? So you say you'll be able to program in on your own every iteration of verbiage that you don't like, what if someone gets around your programming? What happens if while in their attempt to create this new chat system something gets broken?
