  1. I'm torn on this one. I totally get the market value side of the table. Before I knew what you could disallow for certain I'd looked into what you can disable as far as salvage at the p2w vendors for my characters that accumulate salvage at a fast pace. Every once in a while I'd go on a cleaning spree for my inventories but I've gotten myself situated to where I just enjoy playing. Since we can't block anything now I just leave my salvage tab red. But I know that this approach might not work someone not as well situated. I'd be for disabling common salvage with some feedback from those that wouldn't want this to be implemented.
  2. Here's the crux of what I said. I'm in the camp of sure if it's tailor-able to the users preference sure what do I care what another wants to filter especially if its quick to enact by the dev team. But I really don't see it being as easy as snapping your fingers problem solved. There's tools already in place to help mitigate your user experience, this might just be a bigger rabbit hole than might be feasible. Certainly there's a profanity filter that would bleep out that word and if someone was determined to have it seen how many variations could they use to get around the filter? So you say you'll be able to program in on your own every iteration of verbiage that you don't like, what if someone gets around your programming? What happens if while in their attempt to create this new chat system something gets broken?
  3. What's so telling? What connotations are you inferring onto me with assumptions of any "narrative" that I didn't already state? I'm telling Zeraphia to speak up to this person that very instance if it upsets them so and if it persists I've stated in my earlier text that the GM's are pretty good about reigning that stuff in when it gets out of hand so then Zeraphia can "take a break" while they're handling it. As far as reporting someone, no I'm more of the type to tell the person saying absurd stuff to chill out directly than to go report them behind their back because hey I might even be in the wrong. But yeah I'm all for your and anyone else's ability to say whatever so long as it's not causing actionable harm to someone other than yourself. If there was manpower from this volunteer team to be devoted I'm saying I'd rather see fun and challenging content added like the Monster Mash tomorrow to entertain people with something fresh than to create a program that might not work as intended when there's already a profanity system in place and other ways available to avoid that troublesome type of chatter.

There's one word I detest and it is that very word yet it seems to be propagated more by the very culture that it was meant to demean, bit ironic I'd say. Even this word I would not like to be banned, I'd rather the stigma of its use determine its fade. But there will always be a replacement word for that to be offended by either by from edgy folk or plain mean spirited people. Which brings us to the N-word you saw. There's a chess channel on Youtube I enjoy on occasion, this channel was penalized recently because the algorithm registered a pattern that it was programmed not to like. This channel talks about nothing but chess and all its strategy and yet because there's a white and black side and the phrase "white side may be winning" might have been uttered it got suspended.......What are we doing?! Again this is from my perspective on the matter but I'd say turn on your filters and since you'll be subjected to chat outside of yourself be prepared to get the good with the bad. Tell whoever said the n-word to chill out and if it upset you so just take a break, grab a snack or something.
  5. I'd just have to agree with this. I want this volunteer team to spend NO time on a censorship system that who knows how things could break one way or another. They do a pretty good job of not bringing the hammer down on things unless it gets too out of hand and I've only really seen a few instances where it persisted to where they had to ban someones IP. On that same token I will say that I've seen some character names get generic'd that aren't really all that bad and all it does is make people more spiteful. Removing General seems to be what you're looking for, this stuff hardly spills over into Help anymore. Honestly any time spent on reworking the chat system which is fine as is in place of possibly adding more challenging content to keep you preoccupied from looking at said chat would be time ill spent when the solution seems to be already at your fingertips.

  7. I'll tend to help a friend get a few levels from time to time in the Comic Con fire farm max settings. I use my Mind/Nrg/Soul. She's not quite spec'd for the farm with extra fire resists specifically but it's still an eventful go. I tend to do quite well but it can get a little more intense if the helper decides to run off and do his own thing.
  8. I tank Lord Recluse with my SR stalker with Provoke. Granted it's much easier with my tank due to auto taunt and that high hp. I'd venture to say that thanks to Incarnates and set bonuses the only limitation is your imagination.

  10. They said Everlasting and Reunion were on the good ones, the other servers on the bad ones so it seems they're going to try to reconfigure things.
  11. I skip snap shot, stunning shot and either explosive arrow or fistful of arrows. Fistful I tend to like more. On the Tac arrow side of things I'd say take the special toggles and buff powers but be sure to not skip ESD arrow that thing is nasty.
  12. Wouldn't mind seeing 1-2 new control sets and 2-3 new assault sets. For the control side of things I get that it'd be hard to come up with something fresh but the Knives of Vengeance have some nasty stuff I bet could be implemented. As for the assaults yeah you'd have to dabble a bit here and there from other power sets but there's plenty to round out something nice, it's just fine tuning would need to take place along with finding the time to do it. Honestly if we just get a Whip assault set I'd be quite happy with just that. I mean it just makes too much sense for doms to have whips right? If we had whip assault unique to doms which might make some others jealous I'd totally have no problem with still having the smallest combinations.
  13. Agreed, if it was possible without breaking anything I'd like there just to be all hairstyles available from all of the unique characters. Who's to say that your new super just didn't go to the salon right out of the gate with a picture of Ghost Widow and say make it look like that. I get that the full on unique look should be designated but things like hair, shoes, gloves and other accessories I'd like to see just available where possible.
  14. Dominator and Sub I hear may be a fun combo. You two can hash out which one is which, maybe even switch accounts from time to time, variety is the spice of life and all that. In a more related answer my two favorite characters I play are my Mind/Nrg/Soul dominator and StJ/SR stalker. Both great fun.

  16. I don't think you have much playtime on a Mind dom it seems. If you're on Excelsior I'll be more than happy to show you how OP Mind is with someone that knows what they can get out of the set.
  17. I don't get as a dom why pairing Mind with Psi is always a must? Mind is all about control, tons of it, for thematic purposes you must pair it with Psionic attack, why? Bollocks to that! Psi isn't that great of a secondary for a lot of controls so of course when you make an Earth/Earth dom its gonna play so much better for you. My Mind/Energy dom is the best character I've created on this game. For those asking for a buff to Mind I say you're just not creative enough with your playstyle, power selections and secondary. Speaking for Mind on a Dominator there's just about nothing that needs reworked. You have three hard lead in aoe controls and another large aoe control in terrify. You don't want to count Mass Hypno as a control? Fine I don't use it anyways I alternate between Mass Confuse and Total Domination between mobs and sprinkle in Terrify when needed. Mass Confuse and Total Domination available half the time quicker would just be OP as all get out. I mean you still do have Dominate and Confuse as backups should you take them. TK yeah that could be looked at, as it is currently it's limited use. Mind plays so much better on a dom because it's all about control and its instantaneous with Domination whereas you have to hope for a proc on a controller. Typically I never lead in with Terrify since yes you do catch a bit of an alpha blast if you're not ready for it plus it's soft control, so those pesky blasters could mess up your pack. I tend to like to use this on stragglers and roamers and also to reinforce control when I have things locked up good and tight. As for Mind on the Controller side I'll defer on that one but I'd imagine there wouldn't be much warranted aside from but maybe some subtle changes. You do have a support secondary which has a large effect also.
  18. Put it into my favorite single target control. Mostly holds since the bonuses are juicy and I use purple sets on other controls. It stacks and typically I'll have 1-2 procs active at a time depending how often I use that control. Not sure how it'd work in an aoe but I can see it not giving you the 5 max stacks that you'd want if you put it into say an aoe hold. I tested out the winter hold set with the absorb shield hoping I'd get multiple application but I just got the one application so I wouldn't doubt this is how this proc would work in an aoe control as well.
  19. Energy is fantastic! The damage is tops I'd argue thanks to the Energy Release mechanic. Take Coyote's suggestion with a grain of salt, there's no one way to play Mind control. Yes you can stay far back and launch your AoE controls OR as you're landing into the middle of the mob they get controlled all the same. The stun being spoken of from what I'm assuming is Whirling Hands is absolutely meaningless. If you're relying on a stun from a secondary to control a group when you have Total Domination, Mass Confusion, Terrify and even Mass Hypnosis, well you're playing the character from a very limited view. If you can handle the fact that you might not stun anyone with Whirling Hands you'll realize that doesn't matter since they'll all just about be dead anyways since this power has the best AoE damage a dom can get. Paired with an epic like Soul Mastery for Soul Drain this secondary is just an animal. I've had just about every iteration of Mind dom so I'll give you my thoughts. With the revamp I haven't played some since I instantly fell in love with Energy all over. Elec - Pass, damage is lacking, animations are long and that sentinel is meh Rad - The contamination mechanic is clunky if you're relying on it to heal you can't, damage is okay Fire - Usually the bread and butter for doms that want to do lots of damage and still nearly the top, ranged playstyle Dark - Damage is meh, the ranged heal is nice although the animation should be shorter, you'll be playing this to get the most out of that heal Psi - okay damage since it's psi, good aoe, Drain Psyche is the draw for this one since it boosts your regen/recovery Nrg - ST damage is nasty and Whirling Hands is the best damage AoE you'll get These I've not played most have had the revamp: Earth - Hear good things, a giant mallet is not my flavor Ice - No snipe? I'm out Martial - Don't know much Thorns - Don't like quills, seems to be similar to ice except its toxic damage Hope this helps!

  22. For a game that prides itself to be cognizant of puppeteering propaganda, i.e. Nemesis, maybe steering clear of puppeteering propaganda would be the way to go. Yes all lives do matter and BLM too at that but this movement has hitched its wagon to removing police which is the dumbest thing I've heard in quite a while.

Yeah Rune nor Unleash are perma-able, by default my doms shoot for high recharge so I get these down to where Unleash Potential is active for a minute and down for a bit over a minute before it recharges. In the meantime I cycle Barrier plus I have built in some sturdy defenses already so by the time what I need from Barrier wears off Unleash Potential is back. If you add in Demonic to the mix which I never use but rarely I can get 6 minutes straight of capped defenses. Not too shabby.
  24. The goal is to get Unleash Potential but I like to pick up this debuff along the way too. It's not something I would use in a fight with a random mob as right you are the cast time is too long to be useful just to kill a boss. But I do have it stashed on the side for the tougher fights, I don't slot anything else into it other than the achilles and just let my internal accuracy bonuses help this one so to keep the proc firing at 90% of the time. I have to disagree with your assessment though. With the proc firing it'll give your target almost 30% -resist. On my energy dom before the debuff wears off I can chain up a Total Focus, Snipe and Burst all that normally do 500 pts of damage each so add about a third more damage to that chain, you're going from 1500 damage to almost 2k damage, that's very noticeable, and I've play tested it to see how functional it is. Also have to disagree about the teaming part, yes it slows your attack chain a little but in those AV fights Weaken Resolve procing achilles 90% of the time magnifies your teams damage potential. You are enhancing your teams damage by 30% 8 fold. It's a very solid power for AV fights.
