Word up, my homie, as it were.
-
I'm working through gold side, finished Imperial City, moved to Neutropolis, turned XP back on, advanced to level 16, trained, then completed the IVy story arc. At completion, when I should have been given the introduction window to Praetor Tilman, I was instead given the Praetor Tilman window that basically says I out-leveled the contact. No further dialog chance was in the window. As I've understood from reading other's comments, levels 16 to 20 should be active for Neutropolis. As I pondered what to do next, I opened Contacts list, discovered Praetor Tilman in the Active tab, and was able to call to start her arc. So, at least for my character, there appears to be a problem displaying the right introduction window for Praetor Tilman from the IVy story arc completion. Might be a bug affecting others as well.

There's your problem right there. Never go through a staffing agent. Always go to the source. The staffing agent takes a huge percentage of the profits from the job.

Holy Name-Release, Batman!!! 😱
Grasshopper replied to Captain Fabulous's topic in General Discussion
I got my first name back. 🔽 I'd deleted it after a few extra characters, because I never liked what I'd created. I'm going to try again. CAPE FEAR -
Inferno's response to a zombie attack in his training grounds. Possibly the most unique signature trainer/task force giver attack currently in the game.

Truth. I still remember the slide shows that were Rikti Invasions in Atlas Park.

Thought I'd share a couple of the great moments from tonight's Mastermind Monday tackling the Citadel TF. At least, I think they were great moments. As you can clearly seen, that's me in the midst of it laying down fire. Uh, yeah. That's me. Right next to the bat. At least...I think its a bat. It might be the space between two people...*tilts head* or the head of a pickaxe? Okay, honestly, I'm not sure I came out of this Task Force with the same people that went into it. I'm not saying it was bright, but my robots with only infrared vision were even complaining of being blind. Vampires were instantly vaporized. I'm pretty sure I saw a little ugly creature huddle in a corner crying "It burns, Precious!" Team Transport was a barrel of fun, too. Transport in, leap from the door, turn around to tag it for entry and (blinding glare) ...nope that was a litch...nope that was a thug, nope...robot, nope... wait? How'd the rest of you get inside when I'm still crashing into pets? 🤣 (It was a great run, no deaths. At least, I think there weren't...the result window was a tad hard to see.)

Badges: puzzled why teams never seem to go for these ones

Well, at least you didn't say the grasshoppers were boring. Reserved, yes, but interesting. -
What is your current odd toon that shouldn't work, but does?
Grasshopper replied to KaizenSoze's topic in General Discussion
I've a blaster. Water Blast/Mental Manipulation - seemingly odd combo that I picked strictly because of theming since he's called Aquaphobia. It's surprisingly fun. I'm sure someone with some build skill can make it work better than I can, but I enjoy it. -

I've no need for it, but that's a really great name.

I resemble that remark.

Long Range Transport absent on transferred character
Grasshopper replied to Fingernailgun's topic in Bug Reports
I've had this happen as well. On Excelsior, I'd just transferred away to Reunion a character named Glow Wyrm. He's got Long Range Teleport. Then I brought a second character of the same name, Glow Wyrm, from Everlasting and transferred him to Excelsior. When I accessed this second character afterwards, he had the Fast Travel menu button, but LRT was grayed out. I signed out of the game, went back in, and found the problem still intact. So current problem: Excelsior, Glow Wyrm EDIT: also just noticed that his new Supergroup's name is not displaying on his Personal Player Name headings. -

My robots mastermind is the scientific genius behind the Mobile Armored Automaton Division. That's right, he's the M.A.A.D. Scientist. -
What I play but never see another of...
Grasshopper replied to Jaguaratron's topic in General Discussion
I've a grav/time controller. In his 40's, and using only standard IOs, I was able to immobilize the drop ship at the end of the Mothership Raid...twice. The second occasion I did it just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, or someone else pulling the strings the time before. Believe me, I was shocked, and apparently several others were as well, based on the comments. If I could do that before 50, I can see how an Incarnate version could really give an AV a bad day. What I play, but can't recall having ever seen is a water/mental blaster. In fact, I built it just to see how crazy it might be. I'm sure there are others, I just can't recall having ever run into them. -
Name Assistance Brigade (The N.A.B.bers)
Grasshopper replied to FoulVileTerror's topic in General Discussion
I don't know if I'd call it a pun or not, maybe "word play", but I have a rad/rad I call Glow Wyrm. 'cause he glows just like a glowworm. But he also has a wingless dragon on his chest, which is a wyrm. So ya, word play. You might also try acronyms. My robotics mastermind I named "The M.A.A.D. Scientist" for Mobile Armored Automation Division. However, I did drop all the periods in the name so that folks wanting to recruit me to their team didn't have to deal with the hassle. I did leave the letters capitalized though. I have seen folks using periods probably because someone is using the full name without them. Your acronym doesn't have to be perfect. Have you ever heard of "S.H.I.E.L.D."? Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division (and that's just the latest version) "It means someone really wanted our name to spell out 'S.H.I.E.L.D.'" -- Grant Ward, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -
My starting character, you know, the one whose name your email is attuned to? Halfway through his run I realized he seemed rather drab, and I felt it necessary for a complete cosmetic overhaul including name change. First characters are experimental, after all. He's a water/psionic blaster, and after trying several names that didn't pan out, I somehow didn't shy away from typing in Aquaphobia, even though I was convinced it wouldn't work, but it did! And on Excelsior no less. Wow.

Great! I'll try it out as soon as the server-pocalypse ends. Thank you for looking into that!

Hi, all! I've asked this a couple of times on the Help channel, and never got anything useful. I'm hoping someone here can help. Is there a control(s) that will allow me to turn off the healing/damage numbers (but especially healing)? I've tried several options that sounded like they were the fix, but I never got results. As my picture shows, and I'm sure you already know, it can be difficult to see what's going on in certain events like the Mothership Raid, and I'd just like to clear that up. I suppose it would be useful for my empath, but for me, not much else. Please let me know if there are additional controls that need addressing, such as healing on pets, perhaps.

I'm going to have to learn binding and then do this, I think. I've been playing a time/gravity character that by storyline has problems occasionally with rewritten personal history as a result of his time distortions, leading to him suddenly rearranging into some other appearance. I've had to trigger it manually, which is ever so klugey.

Glowlife - villainous rad/rad blaster (who also glows luminescent green) Glow Wyrm - rad hero (who glows luminescent green) with a dragon (wyrm) for his chest icon. Kahloff the Wild - beast mastery MM with a backwoods hunter look. -
In every parallel universe, there's always one of him, but which one? The hero Glow Wyrm, or his evil doppelganger Glowlife? Their weapon of choice is always radiation or atomic power, although their method of delivery varies.

Got it! Thanks!

We've just created an alternate account on our home computer, and although the forums are recognizing the account (this one), when we go to log into the game, the game refuses the account saying the login name or password is wrong. We've triple-checked everything, even changed the password, and get the same results. However the original account, when we tested it, does log in just fine. I suppose, since the game has no cost that we could have two people use one account, since we wouldn't be on simultaneously, but I'm more concerned why the second account is not working. I don't know Tequila well. Would it be interfering somehow, or is the game login always bound to a single player per computer? That doesn't sound very effective in a household of players. We're using a Windows 7 Pro computer, if that helps.
