Unfortunately I'm on a mac and can barely get MIDS to load let alone make a build. I was wondering if you have a Bi-Form PB Dwarf build that you could post? I usually play in small groups where I end of tanking most of the time so I need to be able to draw and hold at least a bit of agro. Also I know most people don't take it but glowing touch is a must for character concept. I really appreciate all you've done for Khelds and your builds have made my PB my favorite character! vardlokkur Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Quote UPDATE 04.23.2023: Due to a recent decision by the on-going development team behind this Fan Server, my "preferred playstyle", lets call it, is being stealth nerfed. As a result, my continued involvement in the community is uncertain. Thanks to everyone who supported this passion of mine for Kheld builds and have contributed to the community similarly, but everything comes to an end at some point. Pending any reversal of this stealth nerf, I don't intend on coming back to HC but we shall see. Pretty much all of this. I don't intend this to sound dramatic or entitled, but considering: - No communications from devs on how to address my main ATs being hinderingly underperforming, to the point that they are effectively passengers in higher difficulty game modes - Nerfing the exploit that made the AT not only perform reasonably well, but very fun to play I can't see myself logging in too much from this point. It's been fun, but it's time to move on to something else now. 2
fiend Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 (edited) I only just found out about the 'exploit' build a few days ago and was excited to try out WS again as a result of hearing about its performance, sad to see it on the chopping block before I could really get the hang of it. Interestingly, while searching the WS discord channel for info about it, I even came across a conversation between Doom, some WS players, and one of the devs from June last year, about how it probably wouldn't be fixed until the class got a proper rework to justify its removal. I wonder what changed. Edited April 23, 2023 by fiend 1

The HC team is essentially stealth executing Warshade and Peacebringer's ability to somewhat meet par with the modern game, and to do it in a fun way. I strongly believe this choice is insane, clownish, and frankly; needs to be revisited. Doing this without also shipping a functional rework of the Kheldian Archetypes is quite literally just making them unusable for people that want to play the game's harder content. Kheldians are bad. The Changeling playstyle made them both feel better and perform up to modern standards; why it was even a secret in the first place is beyond me. Edited April 23, 2023 by Brigadiar

Laucianna Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 So sorry to hear one of the main Kheldian experts has been driven off the game due to what seems to be the devs putting in extra work to make an already niche AT even more niche and ignored. Especially after there has been a budding interest in the AT, it now looks like Kheldians will be that ignored AT that no one picks again 😞 1 ❤️ Kheldian Guide ❤️ 🎖️ Friday Fashion Contest 🎖️ 🗒️Character Wiki🗒️Friendly reminder that no matter what anyone or anything is saying, you ARE loved AND valued in life no matter what.

FupDup Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 The stealth nerf has been temporarily averted. The devs have created a Kheld-specific exemption due to the controversy caused last night. If/when Khelds get a proper balancing pass, this exemption will be revoked in exchange for other buffs and stuff. 1 .

I am guessing that something is/will be? changing regarding toggle form changes, which would be a shame. I just logged into page4 and page5 updates after a ~465 day absence and was looking forward to updating my Kheldians for the changes (power selection levels and toggle suppression). I tried searching here and reading the beta patch notes but my search-fu is failing.

Features: 32.5+ to positional def while in human form (softcapped w/ 1 small purple inspiration) Perma Eclipse 152.5% global recharge (hasten's bonus included) Hasten is perma as long as you trigger FFB (Force Feedback) via Shadow Blast OR Nova Det once or twice during combat. All AoE KB is converted to KD except. Vengeance taken early, used often. Proc'd out Drain Essence (Doomdrain) and proc'd out Gravitic Emanation. ST Chain while in human form, hover taken so you can use Nova for travel and drop to human for combat. Nova taken for Aoe's and Dwarf for Dwarf mire. FFB in both Shadow Blast and Nova Det ensure high uptime of 100%+ Recharge buff that FFB provides. @Doomrider Now that toggle suppression is a thing, would you change anything in the tri-form "expensive" build you linked here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=29201 Thinking about a new Warshade. Sounds like there may be some changes on the horizon for them though. Yeah I probably wouldn't play that build at all. Since the defense changes, s/l defense isn't as valueable as it used to be and stacking Kinetic Combats wasn't ideal to begin with. If I was going to play something that utilizes the benefits of toggle supression, and wasn't concerned with playing with Changeling macros I'd play this build I posted to the discord recently. It's basically a Human Shade build that can also macro Dwarf Mire and Dwarf Antagonize so that you have an extra aoe attack, double Mire and built in taunt on an otherwise conventional Human Shade build but with 30%-ish melee/ranged defense. Doom's New Humanshade (if you have to play humanshade) - Warshade (Umbral Blast - Umbral Aura).mbd
unstatusthequo Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Yeah the changeling stuff will be gone I think based on the other threads I've seen. So is playing a tri-shade basically not that great anymore? Is there even a tri-shade build that works? Diving into this Warshade world is a completely different thing. Lots of info, but not much recent. I'll check Discord too. Appreciate your thoughts, @Doomrider as I learn this new thing.

But outside of the realm of Changeling, I think human-centric WS builds got more from the Toggle Suppression changes. Human: - gained access to double mire effectively. This was way too clunky before to really use well. Now Human can enjoy Double Mire just like Tri-forms can. - gained access to taunt effectively which a lot of solo players felt had value for managing aggro from your pets. The real difference now for Triforms, is any toggles you had, be-it Orbiting Death, or otherwise, can be more than mules if you want them to be, but they still see no real value while you're shifted. Changeling uses this to a great degree with how OD and Inky can ticket in-between macro'd attacks but if that functionality goes away/gets patched out then it's back to, well, how much value and use do those toggles powers really bring you if they still only work in 1 of 3 forms? Really depends on your build. Edited February 27 by Doomrider

All AoE KB is converted to KD except Gravitic Emanation Proc'd out Drain Essence (Doomdrain) and proc'd out Gravitic Emanation. Has provoke for keeping aggro off Essences. Burnout because if you haven't tried burnout on a shade, you really ought to. Eclipse just missed because someone nuked the mob? No it didn't, burnout. Wanna start this mish with 2 fluffies (up to 4 easily), burnout. You get it... Better end management for a Human form build since we didn't need to dip in the fightning pool for Weave which also allowed us to take all AoE attacks available to a Human Form only build. *Small note: The global recharge does look quite low at first glance, but it's actually more manageable than people realize when you leverage things like FFB regularly. I find the proc's uptime is at least 50% or more which will already pushes the recharge into perma hasten territory. We're also taking Agility alpha this time around for the defense bonus but the recharge bonus is also helping. I have to wonder if this build is still viable myself, been wanting to dust off my own WS but...something just keeps me from committing and a voice in the back of my head goes "No, you will die to the first mob that sees you, especially if it has a Quantum in it."

If you are managing Eclipse keeping your resists capped AND you're using active mitigation (ie. gravitic for stuns, kb/kd from your blasts and gravity wells hold) Quantums should not pose a threat. They have been significantly toned down over the years. If you are still finding difficulty with said mobs then I don't think it's a build issue. That being said, I would be more inclined to suggest my latest Human Form WS build, just a few posts up from here, over this one. Assuming you are married to the idea of the human form build and are thus avoiding Tri-form altogether. A solo WS definitely still leans on smart inspiration usage and active mitigation, and as more and more enemy factions get revamped, this statement is becoming ever more true. Defense bonuses alone can only get you so far, and while my older builds posted in this thread certainly have them in abundance, revamped enemy factions are coming loaded with more ways to debuff said defenses.

Ahh yes, I did see that other build you mentioned...and as for the whole quantum's thing your probably right, I panic I think. Also the WS is not level 50 (48) so there are still holes and of course im poor so me getting the inf. to actually make the build might take some time. Thanks though for the insight, it will be most helpful! I love being a human WS...though I also have dwarf because I dont mind popping the lobster form as much as I hate the squid form...and therefore refuse to use it (my preference mind you) So a duel form is more what I would like to go for but one who stays in human form for the most part and uses the lobster as a "OH F*CK" measure.
