xl8
Can you make animations available from both sets for further kick/punch selections? Ty.
Haijinx
Within reason and Animation time requirements I favor this for all punching and kicking type sets Super Strength Energy Melee Some of the Electric Melee Some Radiation Melee Some Dark Melee and so on .. The Animation time is the big one, you can't make it so you can string the alternate animations and do more Damage in the same amount of time.

I feel like this must be adjustable. Or maybe must have at one point been adjustable. When you use Brawl with a weapon or shield, it will randomly execute the same animation as Kick from the fighting pool; the only difference being the animation time. (imo it look a lot nicer executing faster)

arcane
I’m not opposed to an alternate animation option here and there, but I don’t think unique animations should be decoupled from their powersets completely like this. If you want the martial arts animations, you should play martial arts. It’s that simple to me.
Shenanigunner
Something of an aside, but if there's going to be effort put into redistributing this set of animations... could Staff Fighting/Innocuous Strikes get an update? It's an effective power, but has what I think is the stupidest animation in the entire game, with Our Hero viciously poking at the target's feet as if s/he is trying to scare away a mouse. It's as bad as grabbing a gate cop's junk to pass through... Maybe a set of pokes more or less at a foe's midsection, with some variation in the strike point? Instead of screaming "I really hate your SHOES!"? No, this would be an obvious prerequisite. Plus, you can add delay to any animation. Also, look at recent updates to power speed, such as Total Focus. I'd also say that combining a simple side kick (crane kick) with a punch that doesn't look like your telling your dog to stay (cobra strike) shouldn't be too big an ask. And to preempt the facetiousness, I'm not into the alternate either.

Which is what I've said we've needed since alternate animations started back with Paragon Studios. Why limit the sets attack animations to certain sets? Let that Dark Melee do a Total Focus hit. Of course, all within keeping the animation times the same!

(imo it look a lot nicer executing faster) That's because Back Alley Brawler manually made every possible brawl/other power combination animations. As I recall when Brawl plays an alternate animation it calls a completely separate version of the Brawl rig specifically flagged for that particular brawl/whatever pairing. Unfortunately, the game only allows you to select one attack set. Giving alternate animation choices would give people the freedom to play how they want and the powersets would be more about the mechanics than the aesthetics. arcane
Yeah I actually like that a powerset choice is an aesthetic choice so disagree there.
