Doomguide2005 Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 Hypothetically a Tanker probably a SR/Claws since I've yet to create one. Out of the current cast of characters choice of: Plant/Cold, Earth/Storm, Empathy/Fire, or Claws/SR.
joyispunkrolex Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I'd probably run a Defender, a Controller or a Support-inclined Fort. There's an absolute overabundance of capable melee toons running around. For anything that's going to show up in a radio mission (even at +4x8), a scrapper or even any EAT can probably handle eating aggro so long as there's some support behind them. They go a long way to make everyone else seem more powerful. Support and control classes go a long way to make up for any deficiencies on a PUG, and also tend to feel less impactful on iTrials and AV slugfests. Might as well give them the spotlight in a place where they can really shine.

Almost every toon I've ever made takes at least one power out of Leadership. If you team much at all, it's a tiny investment that's very rewarding. Controller Forts are a lot of fun though. You'll have at least one big AoE up for every spawn and you are more or less amplifying anything else the team is bringing with the leadership stuff. They have a real Dominator-Defender feel about them, even if they aren't anyone's first choice for any one role.

If we're assuming you're just going to take the whatever missions come up, then I'd recommend something with end drain resistance. I've had the best results with my radiation armor/savage melee tanker. I've led such teams with other ATs, but if there's going to be low level characters with you, you'll probably want to be able to hold aggo, and ground zero works great as a pinch PBAoE heal.
