On Live, I would've said Ice/SS as that was one of my favorite builds to level. Here, though, I'll stick with Invuln/Staff (I took Leviathan for the cones). Yes, Invuln/* is boring, but it's a very clean set. */Staff, because of the Homecoming buff to Tanker Cone/Damage, is just way too OP to not enjoy

I'm not criticizing, simply spring-boarding off of this post:

I know Staff gets a lot of attention as an (PB)AoE secondary for Tankers... but is it really the most OP of the Tanker secondaries for AoE? This is a legit question... I haven't played a Staff Fighting Tanker, so I don't have a baseline for comparison. Is there increased radius or range specific to Staff Fighting?

I rolled up a /Electrical Melee Tanker, and not counting the primary (or pools), this character has four damaging "hits multiple enemies" attacks, plus Lightning Clap (not slotted for %damage on my build, but could be). I think Staff Fighting looks cooler than some of the Electrical Melee.

Staff has 2 cones and 1 PBAoE, all of which take advantage of the tanker radius increase. Staff's cones have a base radius of 9 feet and the PBAoE has a base radius of 10 feet (compared to 7 or 8 feet for many older sets), so it takes greater advantage of that mechanic. That said, Staff's damage isn't great and it's not OP by any stretch.

Actually, if we want to say the most effective secondary, it would be Battle Axe hands down. It's the only set that provides the ability to actually move the mob from one point to another.

My opinion is skewed, because my rad/savage/leviathan sharkman, "Megalo Don", is my most fun tanker to play!

Ugh!  I just realized I have 2 versions of him!  One's a bio/savage/leviathan and the other is rad/savage/soul!  Can I vote for both combinations?  😝

super strength doing well on the brute tier list also, and has me wondering in the set.

it doesnt get range benefits from tanker at, and its the inly one like that.

i imagine with rage its quite the monster on the brute at.

same deal for tanks, i guess, and hardier?

Because it's the only one that had a native 15ft radius AoE. Can you imagine if that got buffed by 50%? To 22.5ft hitting 16 targets?

As the scholars say, "lmfao."

I recently rolled a titan weapon character, and those powers explicitly state that they do not benefit from from range increases:

For example:

"Editor's Note:
Arc of Destruction is unaffected by Arc changes."
