I am not sure how popular this would be, nor am I sure if it's possible. But, there's an add-on that make Croatoa appear much more clear and vibrant. Could we not configure the same type of add-on for Echo:Dark Astoria? I recognize it's kind of anti-lore for some folks, and it's supposed to be there...but it's quite annoying to me. (and I'm sure others)

@Michiyo any idea why no mods show up in the "available mods" list?

It appears to be working correctly for me, the only reason I could see for it to be blank for you is if you can't connect to the mod site.

Did you just install it?  You have to re-open the City Mod Installer after just installing.  If that doesn't work, try clicking on "Refresh" up top.

That happens on my Linux box too.  (Not just right after install)   Hitting Refresh as Lunar describes works for me to populate the list

I just reloaded my computer but had it on my games drive so I just launched it. When I did it prompted for an update so I assume I can communicate with the mod site. After not having any mods available I downloaded a fresh .zip file and extracted it to the same location. So I have tried both an old and fresh install. I have tried hitting refresh for all mod categories including "All". I tried running it as admin but that didn't change anything. I did just go from Windows 11 to Windows 10 if there are compatibility issues with Windows 10. This has happened before and it just magically started working at some point.

There aren't any issues with Windows 10 that I'm aware of.  It works just fine for me on a Windows 10 Pro computer and a Windows 11 Pro computer.

Out of curiosity, are you able to download any of the mods manually?  Try downloading this with your web browser on the computer you're trying to use the City Mod Installer on.

I'm having this problem too. Exited and relaunched several times, still no mods showing.

I've pushed an update to add some debug logging to the method that gets the mod list.  Could you update to the new version (Just launch the program and accept the update) and then paste the ENTIRE log output from the bottom left?

The bottom left panel is completely blank. The bottom right has this:

Opening database connection
Checking for updates
gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming
dontCheckforData: True

Here's a screenshot of the UI:

I'm still blank on launch, but refresh populates

Log is:

gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming
dontCheckforData: False

Sorry yeah, right not left, I'm dyslexic.  Also yeah the update didn't actually deploy due to some issues on my backend, a patch deployed, but it was the same exact code as the previous one. I'm working on fixing it.

edit: This is fixed, and the actual update has published.

I updated, and relaunched it twice to be sure.

Here's what I get in the lower-right log-pane now:

Opening database connection
XML data successfully loaded.
Fetching installed mods with values: *
Installed mods loaded successfully: 5 mods found.
Checking for updates
Clearing mod list
Attempting to start modCheckerThread
starting modCheckerThread
gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming
dontCheckforData: True
XML data successfully loaded.
Fetching installed mods with values: *
Installed mods loaded successfully: 5 mods found.
Started modCheckerThread
Num Mods: 243

The rest of the UI looks the same as before.

I just added one more check, for what I think the issue is, could you update and re-paste the output?

Yeah, that was the new check.  Basically when you first set the game path for some reason the tool didn't create the assets\mods directory.  I have no idea WHY that would happen, but that appears to be it.

I've also pushed a possible fix for this.  Thanks for helping debug.

Not sure which update fixed it, but mine now populates without an extra step.

I just set this up to use videomaps for badge hunting and I do see the mods in the mods folder, but in-game it doesn't show me the badge locations.

I followed the steps in the guide. Any help would be great, thanks.

That usually means there is a process stuck somewhere, reboot and try again.
