Ukase Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I am not sure how popular this would be, nor am I sure if it's possible. But, there's an add-on that make Croatoa appear much more clear and vibrant. Could we not configure the same type of add-on for Echo:Dark Astoria? I recognize it's kind of anti-lore for some folks, and it's supposed to be there...but it's quite annoying to me. (and I'm sure others)
MightyBob Posted September 23 Posted September 23 @Michiyo any idea why no mods show up in the "available mods" list?

It appears to be working correctly for me, the only reason I could see for it to be blank for you is if you can't connect to the mod site.

When I did it prompted for an update so I assume I can communicate with the mod site. After not having any mods available I downloaded a fresh .zip file and extracted it to the same location. So I have tried both an old and fresh install. I have tried hitting refresh for all mod categories including "All". I tried running it as admin but that didn't change anything. I did just go from Windows 11 to Windows 10 if there are compatibility issues with Windows 10. This has happened before and it just magically started working at some point.
Lunar Ronin Posted September 23 Posted September 23 There aren't any issues with Windows 10 that I'm aware of. It works just fine for me on a Windows 10 Pro computer and a Windows 11 Pro computer. Out of curiosity, are you able to download any of the mods manually? Try downloading this with your web browser on the computer you're trying to use the City Mod Installer on.
MightyBob Posted September 23 Posted September 23 It downloaded fine. I downloaded to a temp directory, is there someplace specific I should download it to? The CityModInstaller folder maybe?

MightyBob Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I've refreshed soooo many times. I may just have to manually install the mods. There are only three that are a must have for me so it's not too bad.
Andreah Posted October 13 Posted October 13 I'm having this problem too. Exited and relaunched several times, still no mods showing.

I've pushed an update to add some debug logging to the method that gets the mod list. Could you update to the new version (Just launch the program and accept the update) and then paste the ENTIRE log output from the bottom left?

The bottom right has this: Opening database connection Checking for updates gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming dontCheckforData: True Here's a screenshot of the UI:
lemming Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I'm still blank on launch, but refresh populates Log is: Opening database connection Checking for updates gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming dontCheckforData: False
City Council Michiyo Posted October 14 Author City Council Posted October 14 Sorry yeah, right not left, I'm dyslexic. Also yeah the update didn't actually deploy due to some issues on my backend, a patch deployed, but it was the same exact code as the previous one. I'm working on fixing it. edit: This is fixed, and the actual update has published. 1
Andreah Posted October 14 Posted October 14 9 hours ago, Michiyo said: edit: This is fixed, and the actual update has published. I updated, and relaunched it twice to be sure. Here's what I get in the lower-right log-pane now: Opening database connection XML data successfully loaded. Fetching installed mods with values: * Installed mods loaded successfully: 5 mods found. Checking for updates Clearing mod list Attempting to start modCheckerThread starting modCheckerThread gamePath: C:\Games\Homecoming dontCheckforData: True XML data successfully loaded. I just added one more check, for what I think the issue is, could you update and re-paste the output?

Andreah Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Just now, Andreah said: assets\mods doesn't exist, aborting This looks new, and I took a guess and created this folder under C:\Games\Homecoming\assets\mods and it now seems to work.
City Council Michiyo Posted October 14 Author City Council Posted October 14 Yeah, that was the new check. Basically when you first set the game path for some reason the tool didn't create the assets\mods directory. I have no idea WHY that would happen, but that appears to be it. I've also pushed a possible fix for this. Thanks for helping debug. 1
lemming Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Not sure which update fixed it, but mine now populates without an extra step. Opening database connection XML data successfully loaded. captainstar Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I almost forgot that I had these old MODs saved on my google drive. Things like the Superman Symbol, Green Lantern, Batman, Greatest American Hero, funny pictures in place of the pictures inside the missions in buildings... If anyone here can put them in the "cohmoddingtool" there, I'd appreciate it. 😃 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ebDSFl65_6Tep605rEWKcqU5tozzgn93/view?usp=sharing
zer0ish Posted December 7 Posted December 7 I just set this up to use videomaps for badge hunting and I do see the mods in the mods folder, but in-game it doesn't show me the badge locations. I followed the steps in the guide. Any help would be great, thanks.
Nerio72 Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Hmmm trying to update and its telling me "Waiting for application to exit..." 🤔
