When someone copies your toon

Heh, I remember the days when you'd see whole TEAMS that were a clone of one Toon. I think it was mostly Wolverine and possibly when claws was released.

There's someone with an Idoru which looks a little bit like the ones I made. I'm more puzzled than anything, but I've barely seen that toon, and it could be a coincidence. After all, Idoru came from the name of a William Gibson novel, and more than one player reads Gibson.

This one time.. I copied @Living_Hellfire and followed them around using an emote to continuously faceplant.. they never noticed. It was more effort than it was worth. /em shrugs

Collaborating in RP like that requires OOC communication first, most Roleplayers would be fine with it. Doing it anyway without asking the player is drama waiting to happen and real creepy.

I know who my copycat is. They're a nice player and probably role-playing on their own. They certainly don't know anything about Blue. No one does because no one asks. So they can do what they like because they definitely have a different story.

I don't mind if you have a character that looks somewhat like mine, and has the name Idoru. If the character has her own story and is doing her own thing, that's cool. In fact, should anyone approach you and ask you questions relating to me, you can let them know that you spoke with me and that I'm fine with it. I think at this time, most of the Everlasting community either knows Blue as a solo Giant Monster hunter, which I haven't done for months. There aren't many I can solo anymore. Other people know Blue as a nightclub owner and erstwhile DJ. Maybe a few people know she's a genetic construct. Some people think she's an android. 😄

I'm often AFK due to my health so I often miss people. However since nightclubs are no longer an activity, I barely have a reason to log in. Unless someone messages me, odds are I'll miss them. One day you might be the only Idoru.
