Snarky Posted yesterday at 11:32 AM Posted yesterday at 11:32 AM Its funny. But it is also not funny. I know it is an older game with limited QOL features. Still… Atlas Park recently lost all its loc badges and plaques in my game. Michiyo helped me get the modder to fix that. Thanks. Siren’s Call has been rotated 90 degrees for years. Cimerora still has the map pre “major change”. None of my maps except AP show the new plaques that you need to collect 19? of. So none of my toons have the badge. I have actually gotten used to Sirens call and navigate based on transposing it in my head. It gets old though.
Marine X Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM Posted yesterday at 11:40 AM If you have the modding tool loaded, and load the Current Vidiots Maps using it, all those issues should be corrected. I think sometimes it's cool when the maps wrong, haven't updated the GPS in my work vehicle in years and it occasionally shows me doing Yard Jobs when the roads have been reworked, priceless. " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." ( Unless it's Raining, or Cold, or Really Dirty or there are Sappers, Man I hate those Guys...) Marine X

I just loaded the modding tool a few days ago. And it fixed Atlas. But nothing else. Do i need to wear a beanie and chant something?

Skyhawke Posted yesterday at 12:24 PM Posted yesterday at 12:24 PM Last seen outside City Hall in Atlas Park: 2 Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute Alts galore. So...soooo many alts. Originally Pinnacle Server, then Indomitable and now Excelsior

There must be something in the install folder or file folder that is supplying the game with the old map, finding that may be more up Michiyo's alley. I know my maps are all up to date. I am no coder but that seems like some next level specificity in file selection…
City Council Michiyo Posted 20 hours ago City Council Posted 20 hours ago The modder has absolutely nothing to do with which maps are replaced via Vidiots, something is wrong in your City install. Re-submit your support bundle via the Mod installer under Tools so I can take a look. 1

tidge Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I also relied on 'old methods' to get the maps installed... afaik the only ones that are "messed up" are the safeguard/mayhem maps for Atlas Park and Founders Falls. The Cimerora/PVP zones are all fine, which used to be the tell-tale sign something was wrong with my install. 1

Captain Fabulous Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago You likely have a partial install of an old vidiots pack. I had this problem too. Once I found the old files in the override folder and deleted them everything fixed itself. 1
Riverdusk Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I assumed this thread was going to be about things like why each floor of the office buildings has its own elevator that only goes up and down 1 floor. 1

All joking aside, it always baffled me that there is some mechanism in place that determines what doors can lead to what sort of instanced locations, but that the original devs never bothered to kind of clean that up to make more sense, (like you don't get cave maps from regular building doors, but you can get sewers, which seems weird)... Maybe it was a simple "we have X types of instanced maps we need to use, but only Y number of different door types to use, so we gotta fit them all in somehow"...
Shin Magmus Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Snarky, my game's maps all work correctly: feels fine to me. Have you considered dark magic? Treating everyone fairly is great; unfair discrimination is badwrong! I do not believe the false notion that "your ignorance is just as good as my knowledge." The Definitive Empathy Rework

I blame Portal Corp! 😄 Most of those are explained away by that you access the complex (or visa versa) via the first entrance. Some missions actually mention that.

According to the actual lore from Nosferatu, Snarky is incapable of casting any of his dark magic unless he is near soil from the grave he was originally buried in, before he reanimated. Instead of mana, he has to draw upon The Cursed Earth to fuel his vampiric magic. Based on his struggles, I assume he ran out of dirt. 1 Treating everyone fairly is great; unfair discrimination is badwrong! City Council Michiyo Posted 14 hours ago City Council Posted 14 hours ago @Snarky You still have a full install of Vidiots in your data directory. Remove or rename the data directory from the root of your game install.

It's in C:\Games\Homecoming, not C:\Games Just totally rename or remove the data directory in C:\Games\Homecoming, the only thing in there is a Vidiotmaps install. 1
