I found it (non-Nemesis) to be pretty easy to run with level 50s, with better performance from support-oriented characters (because allies).

I didn't run it as a farm (across alts), but if I was doing something else with a level 50, I'd try to run it for the rewards (and to unlock the Safeguard/Mayhem contacts).

As for the Nemesis event: probably only about 20 times. The (personal) problem I had with the Nemesis event was that I had one (semi-retired) level 50 character that really wanted to complete it, but she kept ending up on either under-powered teams or teams with less-skilled players or players with a radically different (and IMO, inefficient) approach(*1) to tackling the Nemesis event. I'd guess that 10 of those 20 runs were evenly divided between (five runs of) the character I wanted (to complete) being on a team that failed, followed by a run with a different character that rejoined the team to help the others get their completion.

(*1) There isn't much to be done when defeated players won't go to the hospital (waiting 2+ minutes for a rez), or the team has a whole lotta level 20s and 30s for Nemesis, but I found that a resistance based Scrapper with some self-heals was generally capable of both standing toe-to-toe with the wAVes *and* doing enough damage such that focused fire from the team could drop targets without too much fuss. A Scrapper with a Patron Snipe and a willingness to drag another bunch of AVs was also useful. As for "inefficieny",... anybody who successfully completed more than one of the Nemesis event is likely to have some idea of "what works", but I did have a few runs where an otherwise good player with a good build was calling out targets that made no sense to me... except in the context of that character maybe had a weakness (or annoyance) to something like holds, or defense debuffs, or whatever and didn't realize which of the AVs was actually making the fight hard.

I was running it with support characters down in the high teens and low twenties...  It worked 80-90% of the time.  The balance, all the wedding guests died in the 2nd or early 3rd wave, leaving you sniping the crashers while Manticore and Sister Psyche tanked 'em for you.  (This could be very tedious until you arrested the buffers and healers among the crashers.)

As I've said in other places, EA toons with their ranged, group, heals and buff really shone bright here.

Summer Blockbuster is really good. I like it a lot. BUT... and it's a very big but (I cannot lie) I totally get where you're coming from there. People tend to speed run it whooosh-stylie, leaving novices behind with an itchy head and WTF in their minds.

That said I do know people who have run at a good pace and then it's enjoyable and rewarding.

Good luck in getting it going sometime.

I tend to treat every run like a badge run. First step of the heist is asking everyone if they need a walk through, and calling out badge requirements as they come up in the arena.

I agree with Healix, but I've got to say in my experience, you're in a minority of maybe one! It's good that you do though.

I think one problem with this game generally is given its age, most players are veterans and thus know most of the content by rote, They expect everyone else to know as much as them, so play accordingly. Generally that's ok but when some of us don't know it by heart it's very easy to get left behind, doubly so in a team not big on communications.

It's a small price to pay for having the game, but it can be a bugbear. It is however, one very good reason for enjoying "steady runs" - going at the pace of the slowest team members, and taking in the sights along the way. Personally that's how I like to play - but then I'm too damned old to be teararsing around like a 18 year old on speed.

I neither know, nor care, what the difference between ignorance and apathy is

I love teams that use strategy (no hurry hurry) and work together. Also enjoy fun banter amongst the group. I guess that makes it 'old school' just like a tank that goes a bit ahead and keeps taunts on groups so others can do what they do. A good leader takes into consideration that perhaps some of the team are clueless what to do, and answer questions/suggest best options.

I did it enough to accumulate 2 sets of cupid's crush and just sold the rest for a little extra influence

I accumulated five sets, with a few extra of the Dmg/chance for confuse as sixth-slot options, but wasn't particularly dedicated in getting all the badges for all of my characters, just because it became tiresome after a while. Fortunately, most of the people I ran the Nemesis version had coherent plans for the tactics, as opposed to the one "pull the world and pray" run I was on. I did go back and do 'duck in, be annoying, get out and abandon' runs on several characters I hadn't got the 'Down in Front' badge on, though.

I got roughly 200 runs in, mostly solo. It was wild how different each run was with my different toons. Sometime its just you and the 2 EBs at the end and other times 90% of the guests survived. I died 3 times on one run and felt invincible on the next run (diff settings were always the same) Huge difference even between runs of the same ATs. Overall I found my controllers were the most consistently good but still lots of variation there too. Very fun event and I look forward to it coming back next year!

I found a few times where I had forgotten to change the difficulty settings, which made the intermission spawns a bit more interesting
