Wonder if we could have certain spots in the various zones where the MS would be active, spots that are still fast to get to, but far enough from the usual pathing of people doing regular content?   (Though I believe I saw a dev mention they were going to look into the lag issue)

 

Two weeks is a good run for it.  Gives enough time for people that might be busy to still check it out.  If a badge is ever connected to it, then that would be a minimum time.

Halloween is one night, generously speaking you can decorate for the season a couple weeks in advance, but the Halloween event is a month-long extravaganza.

I was getting a Synapse Task Force together at the weekend when a Mapserver event spawned in Skyway.

They killed me and a couple of teammates once the Giant Monster spawned in. And then I had to chase Synapse around as he attacked it to get the Task Force to start. And he's fast!

 

Yeah... I won't miss it. 😄

That cat made a major tactical mistake positioning himself so far from the target.  He should be stationed next tot he cheese to reduce the attack vectors.

 

But then again, it's Sylvester, the inferior cartoon cat.

Dude, I start decorating for Halloween in September. I want people to have plenty of time to enjoy the pirates and Kraken in the front yard.

I've always been a closet goth as soon as the years new decorations hit stores I buy them and decorate and start asking my spawn what they want to be for Halloween.

I love the Mapserver event, and I think 2 weeks is a good duration.

 

As an altaholic, it's a much cooler way for me to level my many alts (and unlock incarnate slots) than Halloween mind-numbing murder hotel. I get to travel from zone to zone with new friends and kill funny critters. Half naked cops attached to cars. Basketballs with legs. Get dragged into the sky by a pigeon on my head. What's not to love? 🙂 

 

I also love Halloween but for other stuff.

Agreed. It's a very silly event with no real purpose. Which is why I enjoy video games anyway. It's entertaining, the chat is fun (most of the time), and you get to meet people you may have missed otherwise. Can't ask for much more.

i always have what people would consider "halloween" decorations up.  but mostly the off the wall stuff (a wreath of eyeballs!) and classic art "momemto mori" type items. {skull, roses, etc)  working on getting a tesla coil set up...
