Snarky Posted April 18 Posted April 18 On my current obesessio... errr, project, I am planning on taking the AoE Foe Intangible powers "Black Hole" (Dark Corruptor) This is mainly to help with grabbing glowies, where I hope it will prove it's worth. I have also encountered tough situations in Street Hunt missions where telling an adjoining mob to "go to hell" would be useful. I do not use the power much. I took something like it a long time ago and only encountered a single situation in a mission where it was useful. And it worked great there, saving the few of us standing from being overwhelmed. What are the fine points of these types of powers? What are successful strategies for making them more valuable?
Marshal_General Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I imagine a wormhole intangible combo would work well. 1

A Gravity/Dark controller could get Black Hole as well. (The difference between Dimension Shift and Black Hole is that Dimension Shift allows you to enter the bubble and combat the phased foes.) 1 Uuniverse
arcane Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I have always dreamed of a Grav/Dark/Group Fly/Team TP troll. 1
Captain Fabulous Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I feel like these powers have the same kind of utility as sleeps. They're good for taking a critter or group out of the battle (or prevent them from entering) for a decent period of time. Great for soloing or small team use, but not of much use on a large fast-moving team. 1

BlackSpectre Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I haven't found much use for the intangible powers... any of them. I have phase shift on my main just because it's part of his origin, but I've used it so infrequently that during the last couple of RESPECs I elected to avoid using up a power slot for it and instead bought lots of charges at the P2W vendor for the temporary power that does exactly the same thing. MTeague Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I have to admit, I prefer AE sleeps for the "don't notice me" grabbing of glowies. Of course, I do main a Mind/Kin, so I may be slightly biased there... 1 .

I will slide into it when i start the 25-29 content in a week? And see how it goes. 1

Range...25ft ?!? https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=pool.teleportation.team_teleport Remember! Let's be careful out there! Hedgefund Posted April 19 Posted April 19 The power's radius means everyone within 30 feet will be teleported. I happen to have a character with TTP (long retired) and seeing 25 foot range made me go "hmmm". It was one of those things. I logged on my TTPer, who has a 50+5 Jaunt end/range slotted, the power description says it now has 35 foot range. I have 15% range bonuses so that should add, let's just say 5 feet because I don't care to be precise, it doesn't matter to the greater point. I find someone about 100 feet away, ttp right to it. I then start trying for max distance for it to work and it was around 340 feet. So I have no idea what "25 feet" is supposed to represent. It's in the in-game description, Mids, CoD, every reference says 25 feet but it ain't 25 feet, not even close. Preemptive responses to "but whut about..." No, I'm not using range boost, no I'm not under the effect of a Marine Affinity's range buff or any type of +strength boost at all. This is just me in Port Oakes on a Poison/Water def. 1
Akisan Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I notice that under the raw data for Team Teleport that it lists {"range_secondary": 225}, so I'm guessing that that's what the teleport distance is based off of? No idea what (if anything) the primary range is used for if that is the case, though.

You need to earn the badge and charges red side, but once it's charged you can use it either side. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=temporary_powers.day_job_powers.black_ops_smoke_grenade&at=corruptor https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Black_Ops_Badge 2 Uuniverse
