Tara a bit 1 How the hell am I even supposed to know if ignorance is bliss?

I mean dont take my ward for it. Even now decades after its release still between 100 milion and 130milion people activly play WoW. And many hundreds of mions did over the decades since its release. Thst should give you an idea of how good and addictive thst game was and still is. Problem is its a massive consistent time sink like no other. McDonald's is popular as well. 2 1 1

If you're too moderate and reasonable, they'll take away your forum posting license. @baster this thread is a bit like someone drowning in the kiddie pool and arguing with the people telling him to stand up. Replacing the endurance bar with some kind of super meter mechanic.just sort of moves around your problem. The people who can't figure out endurance won't figure out Other Endurance. The players who did figure it out will just figure out perma-Basterbuff. The game does not do a great job of teaching you how it works. Also, the playerbase here is generally so far removed from the new player's perspective that they sometimes struggle with understanding it. But tere is a lot of good advice in this thread if you can filter out the "go play somewhere else" and "git gud n00b" replies. You wanted endurance to not be an issue? Poof. It's not. Well said. Btw, im not arguing, im expressing what i see and how the leveling progression feels being a returning but realy very inexperienced newcomer. In my opinion there is no harm in improving the leveling experience/progression and making it feel much smoither, make the acquisition of new powers and taggles feel more exiting instead of problematic due to excessive endurance damands. I found a lot of good suggestions in this thread and good information on these forums in general. Mostly, im ammused by a lot of the responses, by how people like to get agressive and arque, how passionate players are about tgeir game, fighting ageist any suggestions of a change and I'm willing to bet 95% of them havent taken 5 minuts to actually think about what the game would feel like to play if these proposed changes actually happened. Another think that surprises me, is how long this threat has become lol. I guess i did the right thing stirring things up and creating some side entertainment for a few at least hopefully. Personally, im only here because im at work and wont be home for another 2 weeks before i get a chance to play and make some slotting adjustments. So reading what you fine folk have to say is all i get 3 weeks out of the month followed by 7 days of actual play. 1

WooiWoo you must be last of maybe 3 gamer humans left alive that haven't yet play WoW at some point. Well good for you because that means when you deside to dive in, you are in for a treat. I mean it's only the best MMORPG in history of human kind. I strongly suggest WoW classic up to and including the Litch King expansion. As for Champions, ya I did that as well and couple other lesser here games. Got depressed on how much of a letdown it was comparing it to CoH/CoV and gave up on it. CoH was thr clear Dimond in the rough even though I only got couple of toons in to 30s before game was no more. Thus game to this day has still do much to offer and is sk unique that with some imagination and investment from a rich folk it could be put back on the map amd legitimate contented for one of today's top most still in my opinion. Obviously graphics updates, innovation , new dungeons and raids etc.. etc.. maybe even armor peaces and sets with stats eventually and I think we have a winner. Problem is I think that people who have this vision don't have the money and the ones who have the money don't have the vision. Never played WoW either, have no intention of ever installing it. Played Champions and Marvel during beta, didn't spend much more time on them than that. I would love for CoH to get a graphic update but that would require a whole new engine. The Shining Stars/Hearts of Darkness arcs do a lot to intro the game's mechanics both new and old but they're also easily skipped by doing other starting arcs, joining trials, or the ever present AE farms. Using zone trainers for something like this is a good idea, but I'd go a step further and also have it be a constantly accessible 'assistance hotline' in the players' contacts. Perhaps a Hero Corps thing, to restore a bit of the function the Field Analysts used to have. That way if there's a specific problem during a mission or something, new players can readily look up a solution or how a particular mechanic works. Bonus points if it can detect possible issues with a character's slotted enhancements or chosen powers based on what problem they select. 'My powers keep missing!' -> 'You have not slotted any Accuracy boosting enhancements in X, Y, and Z' or something to that effect. That'd probably be a lot more intensive to set up than just a static string of suggested solutions though. Expecting MMO players to read would be like expecting a dog to spot a rainbow. 3 Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx? Check out Michiyo's modder or Solerverse's thread. Got a punny character? You should share it.

TauntingMonk Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM I've always felt we need to have our endurance points increase with our levels, the game has us at being able to cap endurance points at 400, but we only see 100 points at every lvl. The more powers and toggles we get and only have 100 points of endurance? Yes, there are accolades and IO sets, but why not have our endurance points rise with our health points as we lvl? It just seems that no matter the build of any archetype, you are set to building it to manage endurance. There are also mobs that attack your endurance points and drain you of them in seconds. With added endurance points, it would give many a fighting chance.

Even though if you max everything out, turn on improved and set environment and chatscter slider to 200% instead of 100% the game still looks damn good for its afe in most places. I think the initial cave quest in Atlas should bde updated even if only copy existing code from some CoT cave because if any new players show up and see that, its a good chance they get depressed thinking every indoor mission looks like this and quit before giving it a chance.

That's kind of the point. Even in the comics you see new characters that are being mentored by older characters being told to pace themselves and build up their stamina. (Which in game we do by adding enhancement slots to our powers and then reducing the powers' endurance costs to the point they don't wipe us out.) 54 minutes ago, TauntingMonk said: There are also mobs that attack your endurance points and drain you of them in seconds. Sappers are there specifically to make players pay attention and prevent the Sappers from doing that. Take that away, and now Malta is a complete joke. 55 minutes ago, TauntingMonk said: With added endurance points, it would give many a fighting chance. But you missed the whole point of adding more points to our endurance. Why does everyone dodge that idea? Elite Bosses in this game have 800 points of endurance Bosses in this game have 200 points of endurance Lieutenants have 140 points AVs over 1000 points GMs over 10000 points The endurance points make them a greater Threat Minions have 100 points
