Championess Posted Monday at 10:17 PM Posted Monday at 10:17 PM I made one of these recently. It feels strong most times but if you're going on auto pilot trying to wrangle mobs and such all of a sudden you might catch a lot of damage since it doesn't come with frontloaded mitigation by way of high resists or defenses. You're expected to use your heals and ride your regen toggle. Moment of Glory is real handy in those instances where you see its about to get rough. I also leaned into the heal/regen aspect and also took unrelenting. In large groups I was getting 200ish regen then I'd pop Unrelenting for 190pt heals over 30s. Quite absurd getting 400hp/s. As our esteemed colleague @MoonSheep says avoid 0. But you also get rezzes in the armor so feel free to pay no heed to that pesky 0 rule. As an aside I've got a few tanks recently now. Of Regen, Shield, Psi and Bio I'd say Regen would be the least fun. 1
Erratic1 Posted Monday at 10:33 PM Posted Monday at 10:33 PM Moment of Glory is both an emergency thing and a tool to abuse by popping it, allowing the team to winnow the crowd to something manageable, and continuing on after it ends. My favorite Tanker to date.
Psyonico Posted Tuesday at 02:15 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:15 AM Regen is the only armor set I can think of that does worse the more defense you have. Reactive Regeneration requires you actually get hit to proc. Build for recharge and resist. If you can get Second Wind permanent then your HP will be capped between that and Ailment Resilience. Also want to build for 100% recharge resistance, which isn't that hard when you factor in the resistance that the set provides. What this team needs is more Defenders
Warshades Posted Tuesday at 02:18 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:18 AM I'd suggest pairing it with a good damage mitigating secondary, usually in the form of knockdowns. You can also dip into sorcery pool for RoP and melee core embodiment hybrid. Cycling between these 2 allows you to stay at 60%+ resist to everything (70%+ when counting the minimum 5% resist from T4 barrier core), closer to 90% on s/l resist. I'd focus set bonuses towards resist buffs since regen doesn't have enough DDR to make defense bonus chasing worthwhile IMO. I've linked my current regen/ss build if you wanted some ideas on slotting. I do highly recommend making sure you hit 100% recharge debuff resist as regen is a set that does rely on click heals and emergency powers like MoG at times and you don't want those stuck on cooldown because of recharge debuffs. High resists with regen allow you to take less damage and indirectly gives you more time to regen HP (as well as needing to regen less with higher resists because you took less damage). Doc Spectre Posted Tuesday at 05:25 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:25 AM If you run the first Striga Island story arc you will get the ring of Peebles temp power that you can toggle on for and extra 30 resistance to damage. I believe the story arc is repeatable through Ouroboros. If using IOS for set bonuses keep an eye out for recharge slow resistance (like from winters gift unique). Knockdown and stun attacks give time for your Regen to tick up in the background. 1

Well.... I went with Regen/Claws because I hadn't played either at all. Thank you for all the advice, everyone! Adventures in Regen Begins!
