Don't know if this is something anyone else has tried, because frankly you'd have be nuts to try it, but I'm thinking about doing a character where they become besties with all 327 contacts (it would be 367 but the Praetorians kinda mess things up). So no Ouroboros, plenty of trips to Null to alignment shift and zero xp most of the time. Still musing over which AT to go with, but has anyone else tried to something so dumb?

Snarky is currently doing all contacts, not just story arcs from 1-50, and he's at level 44 now. So, yeah.
Most every badger with all the badges has been on the edge of this kind of silliness.

I would probably use a Mastermind for this.  Thugs/Traps, or possibly Necro/Thermal or Necro/Dark.  Something good and tanky, respectable damage output, with a nice mix of buffs and debuffs. Your mileage may vary.

I do have a tank who's almost turn every story arc in Ouroboros yellow, so it was a case of "OK so what's next?"

lot of the early Paragon City contacts overlap.  Once you've made a certain amount of progress with one, any who have the same arc or filler missions will tell you to pound sand.  So you won't be able to max rep with all of them.

Get busy living... or get busy dying.  That's goddamn right.

What @Luminara said.  For Blue-side, every 5 Levels, there's 5 Traditional Contacts, 1 for each Origin (Magic, Mutant, Natural, Science, Technology), who mostly have missions and an arc or two sending the Hero against a particular mob group or two.  For each Origin, there's about 3 to 4 for each 5 Levels that gets selected when your Toon gets high enough.  There's also extra Contacts, some mostly added in after the early game Traditional Contacts.  And the Police Radio for its missions and the Safeguard missions.

Red-side, you have the Paper missions which then lead to the Mayhem mission and then to the Red-side Contacts.  Again, some added in more recently.

Gold-side, there's 4 Factions (Resistance Wardens and Crusaders, Loyalist Responsibility and Power) and about 4 to 5 Contacts per Faction.  With a few added in and more in First Ward and Night Ward.

This page lists most categories of Contact:

https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Category:Contacts_By_Level

I have a Blue+Red-side Completist, a Shield/Rad Melee Tanker.  Also run 2 Gold-side Completist, a copy of my main, AR/Devices Blaster, and a Kinetic Melee/Ninjitsu Scrapper.

read my thread ( i just posted today to update)  basically it is a damn slog.  mistakes will be made, you slog on.  i do not recommend melee ATs.  you need some AoE for clearing big maps.  i ran at -1.  i use P2W pets. honestly they are of limited use.  A blaster if you can handle the EBs.  that would be fastest.  stealth, you need stealth.

The thing is, they suck at being friends. Do they help you move into a new base? Nope! They offer to sell you stuff, do they give you a discount? Nope!

I say, to Thunder with them!

That's short of what I was leaning towards, partly because my 1st ever was fire\ice blaster and it'd fun to recreate them in some form. MM's don't feel like an option because of the lack of stealth; tank is in consideration because while the damage output might be low (especially to start off with) it gets to the point where they can "stealth" missions by just ignoring the hits and running to the end.

And running at -1 was always the plan, because most of the time I'll be trying to avoid gaining xp anyway so why make life difficult?

okay, ... i killed over 90,000 enemies on the run.  you choose what you want to kill them with.  now at 50, with just over 100 contacts to go.

I think that's impossible. There are contacts who you get along worse with as you do their arcs.

So far, so good. Admittedly that's not very far.

I've gone with a fire\time blaster called Ash Lee. She's managed to become besties with the 5 starting hero contacts.

The "plan" of staying one level below the next set of contacts until necessary is making life interesting as a couple of Villain contacts open up at level 3. Which means Ash probably holds the record for number of completed missions to get to level 3, also the lack of of travel powers means she's run a marathon criss-crossing Atlas Park. Hero-ing 101 - get your daily steps in.

Use P2W powers.  Travel powers, Teleports, jet packs etc.  Use of pet summons from P2W is great in low level kill alls.

If you are badging now is a great time to turn off receiving any recipes that are not very rare.  I did and was able to reject 1000 recipes by 44.  Now at 560 every recipe I get is bank.

Couple of minor hiccups. First off, while it's easy to control the level of mobs you face in missions, hunting mobs in the wild can be more interesting. I now have a whole new appreciation for hover mode and inspirations.

Also Operative Kuzmin will only introduce you to one of his two contacts, which means Ash and Doctor Weber will never be friends 😞

Anyway that's 12 Besties with another potential 311 friends out there.

There are 4 Contacts each in Atlas Park and in Mercy Island for those Arcs that were added.  You can only do 3 of them from each as there's 2 options in the middle of the runs of 3.  Do the missed one via the Pillar of Ice and Flame and you get a Badge for both Hero and Villain starting zones.

Well that's just not true. There are 5 starting contacts in Atlas, you can talk to all of them and max out all of their friendship ratings. Mercy gives you 3 starting contacts and again you can max all of those out. Kuzmin gives you a choice of one other contact but you never get a chance to meet the other unlike most other contacts.

And the whole point of this exercise in lunacy is to get as many maxed out contacts on the inactive contacts tab. Something that Ouro doesn't help with.

Yeah redside you have to do one of the Mercy contacts in Ouro.  Oh, btw, Kill NO ONE when doing a complete run. Dont even smack talk them (i had one attack me and had to kill them…).  Any option to spare them, distasteful as it is, spare them.  One of the contacts in Mercy is needed to complete a second contacts arc. If you kill them…

Go Peacebringer. You can do a lot of Damage, heal yourself and others, and Tank with some CC as well. You will have all you need in one AT.
